Microsoft introduces Windows 365, a virtual cloud-based operating system based on Windows 10 and 11

When it comes to experiencing a Windows operating system, till now the users had to download and install it on the system. However, Microsoft has seemed to change that now with the launch of the Windows 365 platform. In short, the platform allows the users to run Windows environments on the system through virtual cloud-based technology. It can help the user to run Windows 10 or 11 without having to actually install it. The service is available to users based on subscription.

The launch of this platform takes the Windows operating system to the cloud and will help to stream the operating system including the apps, data, and all the settings of the users. Since the data will be entirely stored on Windows virtual cloud system, it can be accessed regardless of the system and location. It will allow the users to store the files on Windows 10 or 11 and have access to them on any device. It can also be accessed on devices running on another operating system like Apple’s Mac. The services will be made available for use from August 2 and will majorly be aimed at business users.

As per Microsoft, the user experience on the same will be no different from what they experience on the installed version of Windows. They will provide two different subscription options for the users which will be Windows 365 Business and Windows 365 Enterprise. Depending on the success of this platform, it will certainly open a way for companies as to how they perceive an operating system. It will allow the different types of operating systems to be device-independent.
