However, it has now added a new hardware button to the device, which was still not discovered by the users. With the update of iOS to version 14, the company rolled out many new improvements and optimizations, along with a new hardware feature. There isn’t any kind of additional hardware button on the phone if you are currently searching for any.
However, the entire back panel of the new iPhone has now become a touch-sensitive zone because of the new Back-Tap feature. The back panel can now be used as a button, which will be activated by a tap. There are two different types of tap function which includes a double and triple tap. There is a list of things that you can select as an action for both of them. As an example, you can use the double-tap on the back panel to simply lock your phone.
Apart from this, there are a lot of other features on the list that you can add to the tapping feature. There is no specific place on the back panel that you need to tap on as the entire back panel will record your actions. The feature can also be used to operate some of the apps, with support for more coming in the future. However, if you do not wish to use the back tap feature on your iPhone, you can also turn it off.
