After OnePlus and Oppo came together, it was already clear that a lot of hardware and software elements in the smartphone would be shared among the companies. It is why, a couple of months back, it was confirmed that both the companies will now move their smartphone to a single skin UI. It seems that the OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro are now switching from Hydrogen OS to ColorOS. It is now officially on paper and it was announced on Weibo through COlorOS dedicated account.
The public beta for the same has been made available and both Oppo and OnePlus users can sign up for it. The beta build will be available for the OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro and Oppo Find X3 and Oppo Find X3 Pro from Oppo. Also, all four smartphones will get a different version of ColorOS. While the OnePlus smartphones will get the A.11 iteration, the Oppo smartphones will get the A.27 iteration.
There are a lot of new features that are being developed by the company and they will also make sure to combine the most useful features of ColorOS and Hydrogen OS together. Some of the features that the users can expect are quick glance cards, information from other devices, optimized RAM and battery usage, a smart sidebar, and a better ecosystem. These are just a few things that are going to come in the new Color OS, however, we can expect it with some bugs initially which will be resolved over time.
