Samsung Galaxy A82 might come with a 64MP Sony IMX686 lens, instead of a Samsung camera sensor

Samsung started this year with the launch of the Galaxy S21 series and since then, they have been launching a lot of different 4G and 5G smartphones in the market, trying to expand their offering in each segment. Now the company is reportedly working on a new smartphone called the Samsung Galaxy A82, which will be the third offering in the A series of smartphones. The phone was recently spotted in the Bluetooth SIG and Geekbench’s database.

The phone could have a slide-up rotating camera, which was one of its major features for the Samsung A80. Also, it will come with an innovative camera module, that will be the industry first. As per the resources, the phone’s camera setup will carry a 64MP primary camera sensor from the Sony IMX686 lens and not a Samsung ISOCELL GW2/1 sensor. It has also not been confirmed if the phone has a slide-out camera as its predecessor. The phone is also said to be aimed at only the South Korean and European markets for now and could come to the global market at a later time.

It is said to be equipped with a Quantum Random Number Generator chip for better data encryption. Past leaks revealed that the phone could be powered using the Snapdragon 855 or Snapdragon 855+, including 4GB of RAM and Android 11 OS. The only confirmed detail about the phone, for now, is that it will have Bluetooth 5.0. We expect to have a lot more leaks related to the phone in the coming days.
