Sony to launch new generation of VR controller for Playstation 5

Sony already made it clear to its customers that it will add more games and features to the VR technology. With the launch of PS5 and the next generation of hardware technology, Sony seems to be doing that. A few days back Sony announced a few games based on VR technology that will be launched in the future, starting from the end of this month. Now, they are revealing a new VR controller that has been designed for PS5. The VR controller is ord-shaped and looks like a VR controller rather than a PlayStation Move motion controller that was available with the previous generation.

It would also include the adaptive trigger technology that is found on the DualSense PS5 controller as well. Each of these controllers has tension in the triggers which will be used in future VR games. The controller also comes with haptic feedback and finger touch detection to detect fingers. As peer Hideaki Nishino, who is the head of platform planning and management at Playstation, helps in providing more natural gestures with hands. It will also include tracking to the new Sony VR headset and would also provide better ergonomics.

As per the official statement from Nishino, “SIE’s Product, Engineering, and Design teams have collaborated to build our new VR controller from the ground up with a goal of making a huge leap from current-gen VR gaming. Prototypes of our new VR controller will be in the hands of the development community soon, and we can’t wait to see what ideas they come up with and how the controller helps bring their imagination to life.” It has not been launched completely, but the company has revealed that it will have improved field of view, resolution, and a lot more features.
