WhatsApp to stop supporting iPhones with iOS 9

WhatsApp has recently released a beta version of the app that is going to drop any kind of support for the apps that are running on iPhones with iOS 9. WABetaInfo confirmed that WhatsApp Messenger beta 2.21.50 has dropped the support for iOS 9. It means that WhatsApp will now only be running on iOS devices that have iOS 10 or above. Therefore, all the iPhone 4 and 4S users will no longer be able to use their WhatsApp app on the phone.

The information has not yet been confirmed by the company itself, and the same has also not been updated on the FAQ page. As per WBeta, the information will soon be updated on the website. Apart from that, WhatsApp is also working on a new user interface for Archived Chat cells which will appear only if a user has any chats in their archive section. If the user has a chat archive, then the option will be printed on the top of the app and available to the user.

If a user has any new message from their archived chat, they will see the counter in the cell, just as they see when the user is mentioned in the group. Both these changes will be implemented at the same time and will soon be updated by WhatsApp with details as well. Apart from that, the company is already working on many new features and also providing an updated privacy policy for its users around the world.
