Apple might only bring in-screen Touch ID sensor on higher variants

A few hours before new leaks appeared about iPhone 13 which suggested that the new smartphone would include a Touch ID under the screen, which is similar to what Android flagship smartphones are also providing. An in-screen fingerprint scanner would be a new feature for iPhone 13 if it comes this year. However, as per the latest reports and news, the feature might not be present in all the variants of the iPhone. We all know that every year, Apple launches multiple variants of the iPhone, which would include the Mini, basic version, Pro version, and the Pro Max version.

It is expected that Apple might be adding the in-screen Touch ID sensors only in the Pro Max and Pro variants. It means that the Mini and basic version of the iPhone 13 will still continue to have the FaceID feature for security, while the higher variants will get the additional Touch Id sensors under the screen. Although this might sound a bit odd, it should have been a feature that should have been common in all the variants.

Although nothing has been confirmed by Apple till now about the addition of Touch ID, it is almost confirmed that it will happen. Also, the company has already been working on the new in-screen Touch ID for a long time now and it was almost time that it was introduced in the iPhone similar to what Android flagships are offering. We do expect a lot more surprises from Apple before the official launch as new news and leaks about the smartphone continue to appear on the internet.
