As per Nokia, the new streaming device will only be India specific products, and will exclusively go on sale from August 28, 2020. Just like the other streaming devices in the market, it is aimed to make the non-smart TV into a smart TV. The product from Nokia is a direct rival to Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV Stick, and Xiaomi’s latest Mi TV Stick.

This is entirely a new segment for Nokia to jump and they are extremely excited and committed to providing the best available experience from their new launch. The product will be priced at Rs 3,499 and will be made exclusive to sell on Flipkart. The design is inspired by Apple TV and it can stream at a Ful HD resolution at 60fps. The device is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor and also has a support of Mali 450 GPU. Nokia is providing 1GB of RAM and 8 GB of internal storage to save the app.

The Media streamer will run on Android 9.0 and will dual-band WiFi connectivity and built-in Bluetooth. It supports Dolby Audio and will support Miracast, DLNA, Airplay, WiFi display, Google home for casting. The streamer will have some of the most popular streaming apps such as Netflix, Zee5, Youtube, and all the Google services. You can control the device using the given remote, which can also be controlled using voice commands. The device seems to be promising, but the price might be a little letdown for the product.

Similarly, Google is also working on a new streaming device to rival Amazon Fire TV stick. It is also expected that the device from Google will be placed at a much cheaper price than other competitors.
