Samsung is going to bring third party support for the new S Pen

A few hours back Samsung announced their new Galaxy S21 series which is one of their most powerful premium flagship phones yet. Apart from the announcement about the features and the variants that the company has launched, they also confirmed the addition of the S Pen feature to the Galax S21 Ultra variant. Apart from that, the company will be launching two new S Pens in the market, out of which the second one will be the Pro model.

The Ultra variant of the smartphone will have the support for both the S Pen variants and the users will also be able to use their old S Pen which they were using with the note series. The new S Pen will be larger in terms of both dimensions and features and will be much more comfortable to use as well. This time the stylus will not be added to the phone but will be attached to the side of the select cases. The company also showcased some of those cases, out of which the wallet style cases for the Ultra variant made more sense if you want to carry the S Pen along with it.

The stylus does not have Bluetooth and has been made to detect actions with the button on the S pEn is triggered. The S Pen variant will be made available for sale with the latest smartphones and the Pro model for the S Pen will come later this year. The basic S Pen will cost the users $40 or one can purchase the case bundle along with it, which will cost a total of $70. One of the bigger news is that the company is opening up the S Pen to third-party companies that sell Wacom-based styluses. More details will be provided by Samsung in the coming days.
