AMAZFIT BAND 5 launched with integrated Alexa and SPO2 tracking.

Amazfit has been a sub-brand for Xiaomi and has some really good smartwatches and fitness bands under its belt. As per the sources the company is going to launch a new Amazfit Band 5, which will be very similar to what Mi Band 5 has been to the customers. Amazfit 5 was earlier spotted in the FCC database, after which there was no other information on the fitness band. Now it has been reported the Mi Band 5 will be rebranded as Amazfit 5, with many other upgrades and will be launched globally. It is currently on pre-order in the US and will be made available to the customers on September 30.

The fitness band comes with a set of unique features which makes it better than the Mi Band 5. Features that have been added are Amazon Alexa, blood oxygen or SpO2 monitoring, and women’s health features. The fitness band will have the HD AMOLED panel in the front and will have pre-installed 45 different faces, which obviously could be increased later. The watch will have a PAI health tool and 11 sports modes for various activities. It will also have a basic feature like sleep tracking and similar features like REM, deep and light sleep to measure sleep quality.

The band can be charged using a magnetic charger and is said to provide a battery time of 15 days, which is great compared to all the features that are packed into it. In power-saving mode, the band can last up to 25 days in a single charge. The Alexa feature in the band can help the users to control all their smart home devices through Alexa and also do things like creating reminders, alarms, etc. The Alexa feature will continue to receive updates from Amazon through OTA update from Amazfit. Overall, the fitness band has a lot of features and for a price of $49.99, the product is worth trying.
