A while back, Samsung released their Galaxy 7 series of tablets in the market which not only provided variants in the affordable but also premium category. Now, new images have started appearing on the internet, which seems to be the Galaxy Tab 8 series, which could be launched by the end of 2021. The market of tablets has suddenly started to pick up the pace with companies like Realme and Xiaomi launching their own tablet devices.

Although Samsung has also been launching its tablet devices, it has never been the area of major focus for any smartphone company. However, it does seem like more and more companies are now focusing on bringing tablets back into the market as a major device. Samsung is currently the strongest player when we talk about the tablet category in Android and as per the new image, the company has already started developing its new series of tablets.

The render images were provided by OneLeaks and 91Mobiles which shows that the device will have the same screen size of 10.4-inch as with Galaxy Tab A7. Also, the body seems to be made out of aluminum alloy. On the rear, it seems to have an 8MP camera for shots. Other features in the tablet that have been confirmed are the quad-speaker setup and Dolby Atmos support. It will also come with a 3.5m jack and a USB C port for fast charging. For now, it is expected to come with 4G LTE and we might see it being powered using the Snapdragon 732G chipset.

When it comes to monitor and display technology, 4K is one of the most popular and premium monitors that you can buy commercially. However, beyond that, we do not have any other option to buy an 8K smart TV, unless we are prepared to spend a very large amount of money. However, it might be possible to have an 8K monitor in the years 2022 and that too within the spending range of people. LG released an 8K monitor early this year, with a 55-inch screen, which had a huge discount and the price went down to $940.

Although it was launched this year, such heavy discounts on the monitor gave an idea about how these 8K monitors could become a lot more affordable for people to buy in the future. It is expected that the price of the monitor could go down even further now in the Black Friday Sale of this year. While many of the business and home users are still adjusting to the 4K TV and monitors that are easily available, 8K is slowly starting to advance and will soon take the place of 4K monitors in a couple of years. It is expected that the Black Friday Sale would bring down the cost of a 55-inch LG 8K monitor to almost $900 or even less.

The monitor comes with a display that has more than 33 million pixels and a 40W 2.2 Dolby compatible audio system. It also has Bluetooth 5.0, HDMI 2.1 ports, USB ports, Wi-Fi and Ethernet ports, and an optical SPDIF audio port. The monitor comes with five years of warranty, making it a unique and only offering in its segment. So, if you are looking to buy a new monitor, especially a 4K, upgrading to an 8K monitor could turn out to be under your budget.

One of the most striking features of the OnePlus 9 series was the inclusion of Hasselblad camera technology in the smartphone. Due to this, the phone had a huge camera update and was also one of the best in the segment. Now OnePlus is adding more features to the camera setup with the new updates. The company has recently rolled out update version 11.2.9.9, which will be applicable for the OnePlus 9 and the OnePlus 9 Pro. It not only adds a lot of improvements to the phone but also adds the XPan camera mode to the phone. The XPan mode is the reference to Hasselblad XPan, which is a rebranded version of the dual-format Fuji TX-1 camera that was released in the ’90s.

The XPan series will try to emulate the 65mm panoramic pictures on the smartphone. The users will be able to find this more in the mode selection screen, which brings a new UI with a 65:25 aspect ratio viewfinder and limited controls. It will allow users to use three different options here which will include a natural color mode and a black and white mode. The focal length can also be changed from 45mm to 30mm, which switches to ultra-wide mode. When you click the picture, OnePlus will add a transition of the picture being clicked in negative and then slowly developing with colors.

The only negative here is that the images will be cropped to a 4:3 sensor which will not increase the field view as it should have. The image will be saved with a resolution of 20MP and with a resolution of 7872×2916 in 45mm and 7552×2798 in 30mm mode. Also, there will be a difference of four and a half seconds before you could take another photo like this, however, you will not be able to use it in portrait orientation. The final result will look like a cropped monochrome image. The photos can also be taken in color mode, with changes in HDR processing, image sharpening, and white balancing.

Apple has recently launched the iPhone 13 and a few more devices hours ago and just before the launch, they released a new iOS update for the existing users. This major update was specifically meant to deal with a critical vulnerability that was exploited by Israel’s NSO Group’s Pegasus spyware. Last week, the Citizen lab informed Apple about a vulnerability in the iMessage that targets the image rendering library. It allowed users to hack the iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch devices.

The hackers just had to send a message through iMessage and they could have hacked the device from Apple easily. Also, the users will never know about it as it did not require any kind of user confirmation for the action. The vulnerability was initially found in the jailbroken iPhone of a Saudi Arabian activist, which is a FORCEDENTRY vulnerability active since February 2021. However, Apple released the patch just after a week after knowing about the vulnerability.

The vulnerability has been in the news since July where it was informed that it allowed the hackers to have full control over the user device. Later it was found that more than 50,000 users were already affected by this vulnerability. If you have not yet updated your Apple device, it is suggested that it should be done right now as it will safeguard the device against any such threats. Apple has also confirmed that it will add new spyware barriers for these threats in the coming days with the launch if iOS 15

WhatsApp working on voice to message conversion feature for iOS

We have heard about a lot of beta features in WhatsApp that are ready to launch on the stable global platform in a couple of weeks and months. Now, reports have started coming in about a new feature for iOS which would allow the iPhone users to change the voice messages into text in WhatsApp. We already know that WhatsApp will be encrypting all types of messages on their platform in the future, be it messages or voice messages. However, the voice-to-text feature was only found recently for the iOS version.

As per the reports from WABetaInfo, which is trusted to provide the beta details of WhatsApp features, iPhone users will soon get a new update on their smartphones which allows voice to be converted to messages. It is currently in development and will soon be available for users on the iOS platform under the beta program. As per reports, they will not be sending the voice chats to Facebook servers and the transformation will take place on the device itself, which will make it a lot more safe and secure.

When the voice is converted to a message in the app, it is saved in the local library of the app on the smartphone and can be used almost immediately the next time. So the conversion process does not need to be done every time. It would require WhatsApp to have the access to speech recognition technology of Apple or their engine, which can be a concern for people who are worried about data sharing and security. The functionality will also be available on Android in the coming months.
