WhatsApp, the popular messaging software, may soon add a new feature that allows users to send animated emojis while using its desktop version. According to reports, the parent firm, Meta, is working on this new feature to give a new degree of involvement and expressiveness to chats. The feature is likely to be accessible in the WhatsApp desktop app’s future beta release. WABetaInfo first announced this functionality, and it also offered a GIF of the Party Horn and Party Hat emojis bouncing around in a 360-degree spin.


It is unknown how users can access these animated emoticons; however, it is suspected that if a user sends only one emoji, WhatsApp may offer the animated version instead of the static one. It is vital to remember that in order to provide this functionality, WhatsApp requires an animated version of the emoji. Because the functionality is apparently being added to the WhatsApp desktop beta, it is expected to be added to the smartphone mobile beta app version soon.
