Last year, Samsung launched the lite version of the premium Galaxy S20 series of smartphones with the name Galaxy S20 FE. It was a 4G smartphone with a plastic body, durable, yet came at an affordable price to provide users with a premium smartphone experience. After the launch, the company received a great response from the users and due to that, they decided to work on the 5G version of the same as well.

Although there were only rumors till now that Samsung was working on it, the new details now confirm that the smartphone is going to see the daylight very soon. The smartphone was noticed on Samsung’s Swedish website with the smartphone listed with model number SM-G780G. The phone also seems to have 6GB/8GB variants with a 128GB/256GB storage option. The two variants that were spotted for the smartphone were powered using the Snapdragon 865 chipset with Qualcomm X55 modem and the other variant with Exynos 990 for the 4G variant.

Now the expected price for the 5G variant is €700 while the 4G smartphone is going to cost €630. Both the 4G and 5G variants of Galaxy S20 FE will come with the same specification except the network speed. There is currently no confirmation as to when the 5G variant of the phone will be made available to users and when it will be launched in various markets globally. However, it does seem like Samsung is already with the smartphone and the official announcement for the same can come at any time.

Shortly after Motorola launched Moto G60 and Moto G40 Fusion, new leaks have emerged for the Moto G20 smartphone. The phone will be the third smartphone in the series which will be launched in a short span of time. The rendered image of the smartphone that has been leaked online gives a good idea about the design and the hardware specification it will come with. The details were leaked by Nils Ahrensmeier from TechnikNews and gives a brief idea about what to expect from the smartphone. The details of the phone do confirm a 6.5-inch IPS HD display and great color reproduction. The phone is also going to come with an IP52 rating, which means it has a splash-resistant body.

The front screen of the smartphone also comes with a waterdrop notch and a 13 MP selfie camera sensor embedded in it. On the rear, it comes with a quad-camera setup and a 48MP primary sensor. The details also confirm that the smartphone will be running on the latest Android 11 operating system. Now the thing that differs the smartphone from others in the segment is the use of the Unisoc T700 chip, which will be paired along with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. The phone does come with a large 5,000 mAh battery, but there does not seem to be any support for fast charging, which would lead to a couple of hours to fully charge the device.

Since the phone has been made specifically for people looking for something in the affordable category, the company has also skipped on the fingerprint sensor. However, it does get a dedicated Google assistant button like the other smartphones in the series. A previous claim stated that the phone could be priced somewhere around €148.07. However, if that comes to be true, it does not seem to be a very good offering in this segment. Many other smartphones in the same segment are coming with a better processor, better screen, fast charging support, and fingerprint scanner. However, the lack of such features is definitely going to be a reason of concern for the company if it is launched with the same specifications.

Realme is going to launch the new Realme 8 5G today through an online event in India at 12:30 PM IST. The same smartphone was launched in Thailand yesterday and now it will be made available in the Indian market. The smartphone is an addition to the existing Realme 8 5G capable devices in India. The vent can be viewed on the social media handles and Youtube with more announcements on the way. Although Realme 8 was looked upon as a downgrade from the Realme 7 series, it is expected that the new 5G version will make the necessary amends.

When it comes to the specification of the 5G variant of Realme 8, it comes with a 6.5-inch FHD+ LCD display. The display provides maximum brightness of 600 nits which is one of the best in its category and has a 90Hz refresh rate. Although Realme fans were expecting an AMOLED display in this variant, the LCD display is definitely not bad as per the standards. The is powered by the Dimensity 700 SoC which is a 5G enabled chipset. Now if the company launches a similar configuration to that of Thailand, it might be powered using 8GB of RAM, powered with 128GB of storage. It is also expected to come with a 5,000 mAH battery and 18W fast charging support.

When it comes to the camera setup, the front gets a 16MP snapper while the triple camera setup on the rear comes with a 48MP primary sensor. The phone is expected to be launched at a price of Rs 24,000 when compared to the price in Thailand, which is THB 9,999. At this price, the smartphone does have certain features which might be seen as a downgrade, like 18W fast charging, which many companies in this price segment are going for 33W or more support for fast charging. Similarly, the camera sensor could have been upgraded to 64MP at this price point. However, we will be able to get more details in the launch event in a few hours from now.
