When it comes to popular messaging apps, Telegram is one of the most popular ones along with WhatsApp. Telegram has been a direct competition for WhatsApp and even excels in some of the areas when it comes to features. However, just like any other popular app in the market, even Telegram is too unknown to hackers and cyber-attacks. With the increase in digitization and technology upgrades, malware attacks and scams have also been increasing.

Recently, a new warning has been issued by cyber security researchers for Telegram users which alerts them against the hacking of devices and PCs through Windows-based malware. The malware is delivered through a fake Telegram Messenger app installer. The big thing about the malware is that it will remain undetected by the antivirus software and will download malicious files on the system without the users even being able to know about it. The reports for the same were published by Minerva Labs claiming that a fake Telegram App is being used to hack PCs.

The malware has been named the Purple Fox malware and is known to put user information at high risk. Since it can easily evade the antivirus system, it has a very low chance of being detected. The malware was first found in 2018 and has rootkit capabilities that can affect the internal files of an operating system. Most of the time the malware is sent through SMS, e-mails, and more. Therefore, users are expected not to download any such fake Telegram app without verifying the link or sender.

Windows 11 was launched last year and ever since the launch, Microsoft has been trying to improve the user experience with regular updates. Recently, Microsoft has announced and confirmed that the operating system is facing some issues that affect the rendering of colors in some of the applications. Ever since it was released in the month of October last year, which is still in the rollout phase, the operating system has faced a lot of bugs, but Microsoft has been very swift in resolving them as well.

Although it is a free upgrade for all Windows 10 users, it is currently not available to all. Also, Windows 11 upgrade will not take place if any issues are spotted in the supporting hardware of the PC. As per the recent issue with color rendering, Microsoft claims that after installing the Windows 11 operating system, it might be possible that the image editing programs running on the system might not be able to render the colors properly, and that too on certain HDR displays.

Users might notice white colors being displayed as bright yellow in this issue. As per Microsoft, certain color-rendering Win32 APIs return unexpected information or errors under specific conditions due to which this issue is faced by users. However, the issue only affects certain color profiles on Windows 11, therefore color profiles can be changed for the system in the control panel. The company has not listed the combination of HDR display and applications that are facing this issue and is working on the patch that will resolve the issue. It is expected that the patch will be available by the end of this month.
