Samsung Cloud was one of the major cloud storage services from the company which was used by the customers to store their files and photos, just like one does with their Google account. However, the company announced a few months back that they will no longer be supporting the photo and file storage on the Samsung cloud anymore and the services will be supported now by Microsoft OneDrive. The announcement was made in September and the service was closed and canceled for all the users on October 1.

However, those who have still not transferred the data will have to do it by the end of this month, after which the data will be permanently deleted. Samsung also provided the facility of automatic transfers till September 30 and now they are suggesting the users backup the data either to a personal device or Microsoft Onedrive. If anyone has been charged for the October month as subscription charges, the company confirmed that it will be refunded. Samsung has also confirmed that it will provide the users with methods to integrate the Samsung cloud to Microsoft OneDrive by November 30.

If the users download the data from the Samsung Cloud to a personal drive, they will not be able to integrate with Microsoft OneDrive directly. Also, if you choose to download the data from the Samsung Cloud, it will be deleted from the platform once the download is complete. Therefore, if you have still not transferred the data from Samsung Cloud, then you should do so immediately.

It is why millions of users worldwide visit various sites to trade on cryptocurrency and also check the existing value. One such platform is CoinMarketCap (CMC), where users from India, China, Japan, and other countries track the value of this investment type. As per recent news, the data of over three million CoinMarketCap users have been leaked earlier this month. Currently, the cyberattacks on cryptocurrency have been on a rise in the last couple of years since countries have been trying to legalize cryptocurrency investment.

Due to the increased number of cryptocurrency investments and users, the data attacks on the same have also increased by many folds. As per the data that has been reported, data of 3,117,548 users have been leaked from the platform and uploaded on hacking forums on October 12. This data is currently being traded by hackers for digital payments. As per CoinMarketCap, the password for leaked accounts is still secure and the leak has not occurred on their servers. The leaked data majorly includes just the email address of the users and not the associated password.

They have also confirmed that they are currently investigating the issue but they have not found any evidence that the leak had happened through their servers. However, this also sparked a controversy among the users that if the data was not breached on their servers, where else was the data saved. The attacks on cryptocurrency have increased over the years in spite of companies taking strict action and precautions. Reports also claim that these attacks are growing at a rate of 41% every year.

When Microsoft announced Windows 11 a few months back, they also confirmed the support for Android apps on their platform. However, the only downfall was that they could only be accessed and installed through the Amazon AppStore. Also, only 50 such Android apps are currently available through the Amazon App Store that can be used on Windows 11. Therefore, the users are unable to use platforms like Google Play Store and use all the different types of apps available on it.

However, a developer has recently posted a hack through which the users will not only be able to use the Play Store services but will also be able to Sign in to the Google account. It will provide them with complete access to Android apps on the Play Store. A developer named ADeltaX has created a script or a hack that allows Windows 11 users to use Google Play Services on the Windows Subsystem for Android. However, the developer has already warned that the entire process is only meant for advanced users due to the complexity of the steps.

The script was posted on Github and for doing so the requirements are WSA, Windows Subsystem for Linux, and Ubuntu from the Microsoft Store. Once done, one needs to follow the instructions and run the commands in the Ubuntu command terminal. The developer has also created a video showing all the steps that are required to complete the process. However, one should be very careful while doing so as one wrong step can affect the Windows 11 operating system as well.

Samsung will be launching their new series of premium flagship smartphones in early 2022 and this time it is the Samsung Galaxy S22 series. One of the major drawbacks of Samsung smartphones has been the fast charging support, which does not increase from 25W, even in the smartphone offered in the premium segment. This time it might be different and as per the speculation, the company is planning to bring in 45W fast charging support for Galaxy S22 Ultra, which is their top-of-the-line variant.

As per the details, the feature is almost confirmed to come in the smartphone next year. Other smartphone companies and rivals had already started providing 120W of fast charging support in their smartphones. Therefore, it was high time that Samsung should have raised the bar for itself. The details were leaked on Chinese blogs and they have confirmed that the 45W fast charging support will be paired with a 5,000 mAh battery. It is also possible that Samsung might provide the users with a 25W charging brick in the box and sell the 45W adapter separately.

The phone is expected to come with a 6.8-inch 2k AMOLED display with a peak brightness of 1800 nits which will be the best in the segment. Also, it is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 898 processor which is based on 4nm architecture. We hope to see more details and leaks about the smartphone as the launch is still far away. However, the increase in fast charging support would really be good news for Samsung customers.

Apple brings a wide range of feature and design changes with iOS upgrades and this time they are going to bring another new feature to the iPhone owners. The new iOS update would not only bring new features but would also improve the looks of the existing interface. The new feature will change the ways users have been copying the text and images on the iPhone and will make it faster and more interactive. When we think of copy-pasting the components in the PC, the process is the easiest, however, the same is not as fast and easy on an iPhone or any other smartphone for this reason.

However, with the new iOS 15 update, things will get a lot smoother. The new change would bring a significant change to the drag and drop functionality on the smartphone. iPhone users will now be able to drag and drop text, images, files, and more from one app to another. Previously the feature could only be done on a single application. Now the changes will work on multiple apps as well.

For example, copying words from notes to email directly would be much faster and the same will be applied to images and files. Users can simply drag the component and the process will be complete. Users have to select the app that they want to copy the items from and drag the component to another app and release it. The process is the same as done on a PC with the use of a mouse. Both the applications should be open at the same time for the process.

Apple is expected to hold an event in March 2022, which will be the launchpad for many different products. One of the expected products on the list is the next-generation AirPods Pro. A lot of new leaks and renders have also made the internet but none of them are confirmed as of now. Now, new render images of the AirPods Pro have been found on the internet and are also rumored to have the “Find My” integration with the charging case.

However, these are only rumors as of now and nothing has been confirmed by any source. The new render images show the AirPods Pro 2 case which is white and shiny from the outside. The image also reveals a lanyard attachment in the case. Apple is rumored to bring a completely new design this time for AirPods Pro and is also expected to bring some changes in the charging mechanism through the case. The image also shows some holes at the bottom of the case which looks more like the speaker grill on the iPhone.

The holes are placed on both sides of the USB-C port at the bottom. It is not yet clear what the holes are for in the case. As per rumors, the holes are related to the “Find My” feature which will allow the users to find their AirPods Pro. Also, it has been speculated that the holes could mean that Apple will be integrating AirTag technology in the case. However, none of this is verified for now and we will have to wait for a little longer.

Apple is planning to launch the new MacBook Air next year and a lot of leaks have started coming in for the device on the internet. As per the latest leaks of reader images for the new MacBook Air, the device seems to be incredibly thin and sleek, when compared to other competitors and the previous generation of MacBook Air. As per the leaked images, the new device will come with a 13-inch display and will have a notch on the top which will house the camera.

It is also expected to be powered using the Apple M2 chipset which will be a direct successor to the M1 chipset. The leaked render images have been provided by Jon Prosser and Ian Zelbo. Other details that can be noticed are the white bezels around the display which seem to be thinner along with a white keyboard rather than black. The laptop will also have ports like MagSafe 3, dual Thunderbolt 4, and a 3.5 mm headphone jack.

The design seems to be very slim and it can be the case that the images are for the prototype of the device. However, the design is most probably going to be the same at the time of launch. The leaks also confirm that the new MacBook Air is going to launch in multiple color options. More leaks can be expected from the original device before the launch event next year, but it seems like the new MacBook Air is going to take a few components from the new MacBook Pro lineup in terms of design.

Apple recently held an event where they revealed their new lineup of the new MacBook Pro, which was powered using the next-generation M1 Pro and M1 Max chipsets. Apart from the launch of these new devices, Apple has launched another online service for the users. They have launched a low-cost version of Apple Music called “Voice Plan“. The plan costs almost half the cost of Apple Music and provides access to the entire catalog of the music library from Apple. Voice Plan will be a new subscription tier in Apple Music and under this, the users will have access to over 90 million songs.

The users can use Siri to simply pull up the playlist, songs, and radio stations. The services have been planned at Rs 49/month, however, you will not be able to use it as an app as the services have been specifically designed to be used only through voice commands and Siri. The services seem to be specifically designed to increase the use of Siri by the users. While Apple Music costs Rs 99/month in India, the cost of Voice Plan at Rs 49/month does seem to be a good offering from Apple. However, if you are not used to working with Siri or voice commands that much, then this might not be as useful for you as the Apple Music subscription.

The Voice Plan will be available in 17 different countries including India, Australia, Austria, Canada, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Mexico, New Zealand, Spain, Taiwan, the United Kingdom, and the United States. Also, the company is offering a free seven-day trial after which the services will be renewed at a cost. The service will work with iPhones, iPads, Mac, AirPods, HomePod, Apple TV and Carplay

Apple makes critical changes to its App Store policies and guidelines

Apple has recently made some major changes to the policies of the App store which has been done keeping in mind the requirements of the developers and the request for fair play. The issue had been raised by developers for a long time where they wanted to get rid of the anti-competitive and restrictive practices of Apple on the App store.

As per the latest update, Apple has deleted clause 3.1.3 in their App Store guidelines which state that “Developers cannot use information obtained within the app to target individual users outside of the app to use purchasing methods other than in-app purchase (such as sending an individual user an email about other purchasing methods, after that, individual signs up for an account within the app).”

Although it has been a major victory for the developers, the issue of restriction on user experience choice and product experience still exists. Another issue that developers have been looking closely at is the issue of providing an alternative payment method for in-app purchases, which would allow the developers to avoid hefty commissions.

YouTube video

As per All India Digital Foundation (ADIF), who has been associated with Digital Startup, believe that this is a welcome move by Apple as both App Store and Play Store have been dominating the market for a long time and playing as per their own rules. However, they do think that there are still many changes that need to be done in their policies which would promote fair play in the market and will not provide priorities to apps of big companies or developers.
