Redmi Watch 2 to launch in an event on October 28 in China

Redmi is going to hold a launch event on October 28, which will be the platform for the new Redmi Note 11 series. However, recent leaks have also suggested that the same event will also be the launchpad for Redmi Watch 2. The company has already provided a couple of leaks for the smartwatch through various posts and now a new leak on the JD.com website reveals that the smartwatch will be priced at $63 only. Clicking on the product page on the website shows the products are yet to be announced. 

The company has been able to hide a lot of details about the smartwatch till now, but the available information teased by them confirms that the smartwatch will come with a 1.6-inch AMOLED display with a better screen-to-body ratio. The screen would be a big upgrade from the 1.4-inch LCD screen which was a part of the smartwatch in the first generation. Although it has been named as a smartwatch, it is supposed to be more of a fitness tracker and could be running a customized version of OS from Xiaomi.

The Watch 2 is expected to come with almost all types of sensors like the SPo2, in-built GPS, multiple sports modes, water, and dust resistance, sleep monitoring, heart rate sensor, and more. The Watch would be released in three color variants of Elegant Black, Space Blue, and Ivory. The launch of Watch 2 is only a few days from now and new users can expect the company to provide a big upgrade in the device in terms of battery life and performance.

New Apple launch event expected in March 2022

Apple is holding a launch event next year in the month of March 2022. Although there are still months left for the launch, the list of products that will be unveiled at that time is already out. The launch event in March could be the launchpad for products like the new iPhone SE, M1 Pro powered Mac mini and a new lineup of refurbished iMac computers. A recent tweet on Twitter with the tag “March it is” by AppleLeaksPro has sparked the debate as to what will be the launch lineup for Apple in this event. 

The guessing game has already started, but the devices mentioned above are the ones that are most likely to be launched. The company has recently launched the new MacBook Pro series and leaks for the new iPhone SE 3 have already started gaining a lot of attention on the internet as well. Although the iPhone SE 3 is almost confirmed to be launched at the same time, products like M1 Pro and M1 Max power Mac mini are something that has come into the light right now.

We can expect the company to launch a new generation of iMac Pro and iMac that will be powered by the new chipset. Lastly, we are also looking forward to the much-expected refurbished lineup of MacBooks that the company has been working on for a long time now and it might finally be launched in this event. Jio Phone Next to launch on November 4 in India

Jio was about to release the smartphone Jio Phone in the month of September which was delayed due to the shortage of semiconductors worldwide. However, it has now been confirmed that the smartphone will be available for people to buy from the stores before Diwali. The specifications for the smartphone have also been leaked online and it is known to be one of the best value for money affordable smartphones in India. The smartphone was also found to be listed on the Google Play Console listings. The company plans to unveil the smartphone on November 4 and will be focused on people who are looking for a low-budget smartphone with all the features.

Jio has developed the smartphone in association with Google, which will be running a custom Google operating system that would provide the best performance with low-end specifications. The phone, although low cost, will be running some of the most popular social networking apps and other apps like WhatsApp, browsers, and everything else you can expect from a smartphone. The phone is expected to come with an HD+ 5.5-inch display and will be running on Android 11 (Go edition).

It will be powered using Snapdragon 215 SoC and will have at least 2GB of RAM. It will also have a single camera lens both on the rear and front and support a dual 4G SIM. It will also come with basic connectivity features like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and more. The smartphone is expected to be priced at anywhere between Rs 3,000 to Rs 3,500. More details about the phone are expected to leak before the launch but the release on November 4 is almost confirmed.

Squid Games based apps found to affect smartphones with Joker malware

One of the most popular Netflix series right now is Squid Game, and many developers have created apps based on the same series to make sure that they can attract a lot of users. One such app was “Squid Game Wallpaper 4K HD“, which has now been flagged by Google Play Store as a malicious app. The app was found to be spreading the Joker malware which has been known to affect a lot of devices in the past. Squid Game has undoubtedly become the most popular series on Netflix globally and due to the same, many users are searching for apps, wallpapers, and games similar to that for their devices.

While the show has become a hot topic around the world, it has tempted people into downloading content from the internet and other apps which have installed malware, giving the cybercriminals a doorway into their devices and data. The Squid Game Wallpaper 4K HD was recently flagged by Google Play Store due to the malware, which was first detected by ESET researcher Lukas Stefanko. The app has been said to be downloaded over 5,000 times till now before it was taken down.

The malware could exploit all the important files and components of the Android operating system like native libraries, APK payloads, and more. Joker malware has been existing for a few years now and there are more than 200 more apps that have been detected on the Play Store which have the same malware. Therefore, the users who have installed the Wallpaper app have been suggested to uninstall it almost immediately. Google is currently checking for more apps that have been created based on the popular Netflix series and might have components that can affect the user’s device.

WhatsApp released a new Status Undo feature on the Beta platform

WhatsApp has been working on an entirely new feature for Android users right now. As per the new feature, the users will be able to use the “Undo Status Update”. The feature has been added to the Google Play Beta program through app version 2.21.22.6. As per the new Undo feature, which has been specifically designed for Android users, for now, it will enable the users to revert a status that they have mistakenly published on their profile.

The action will allow the users to undo the status almost immediately without any delays. Although this feature is already available, the Undo feature focuses more on doing this rapidly and at a much faster speed. The new Undo function allows the users to remove the status with a single tap. Once the feature has been used on the app, it will notify the users about the elimination of the update. The feature has been released on the beta platform but only for some of the users.

In the coming days, the feature will be made available for other beta users as well. It is not the only feature they have released in the beta platform. A few days back, the company also released the View Once feature, which allowed users to interact more securely. The View Once aspect will work on all types of messages like Images, video, and text and will vanish automatically once it has been viewed by the receiver. There are more Android-specific features coming to the Beta platform as well which will soon be revealed in the future.

Redmi Note 11 series to launched alongside Redmi Watch 2 in the same event in China

The Redmi Note 11 series will be launched on October 28 and the series of leaks before the launch does not seem to be ending anytime. As per the new leaks, more information about the specification seems to be confirmed for the premium variants. As per the new details, it will not only be the launch event for the Redmi Note 11 series, but also for Redmi Watch 2 and more products. The company has revealed a poster for the event which shows the Redmi Note 11 smartphone and a Redmi Watch 2 with an AMOLED display.

The post was teased on microblogging site Weibo where multiple variants of the Redmi Note 11 Pro series were also displayed. As per the details features like NFC, Bluetooth V5.2, Wi-Fi 6 support, and more were confirmed in the upcoming series of smartphones. One of the major focuses on the features has gone to the X-axis linear motor and 120W fast charging support which were only offered in the premium smartphone models before.

The starting price of the Redmi Note 11 series is expected to start from CNY 1,199 to CNY 2,199. The smartphones will be powered using different Mediatek Dimensity chipsets and all will be supporting 5G networks. The smartphones will also come with a 5,000 mAh battery which will provide all-day battery life. More details about the Watch 2 and smartphones are expected to be out in the coming days until the launch event takes place. However, the leaked specification and design do ensure that the phone is going to be a big upgrade in the Note series till now.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra to come with a notch, to be launched this year

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra is the next device in the lineup of Samsung that will soon be released in the market. Although the launch date for the same has not been announced, it would be one of the most powerful Android tablets in the market. However, recent renders of the device on the internet have led to a new spur and it seems that the company is now going to bring a big notch in the tablet, similar to what was found on the new MacBook Pros, launched a few days back.

The leaked images show that the device comes with a large 14.6-inch display and the bezels surrounding the screen are very slim, which can also be the reason why the notch has been introduced to the device as it will house the front camera. However, apart from the notch, the entire device looks very slim. On the back of the tablet, one can see a dual-camera setup with a vertical stripe that is magnetic and will be used to dock the S Pen. The tablets also come with quad speakers, a USB-C port, and no headphone jack.

It will be the first time Samsung is going to introduce an Ultra variant in the tablet segment, as before this, the Ultra variant was only available in their smartphones. It is also expected that the company will launch three different variants of the tablets, which would be Galaxy Tab S8, S8 Plus, and S8 Ultra. It is most likely to launch by the end of the year and might launch alongside the Galaxy S22 smartphone series.

However, it might be the end of this issue and the customers might be able to buy the console easily now. It has been reported that Sony is looking to resolve the restocking issue this month, which means there will be plenty of Playstation 5 across the world both online and offline for people to buy. Also, stores like GameStop have recently restocked plenty of Playstation 5 consoles out of nowhere. As soon as the information leaked, the store located across the US was flooded with customers and some were even able to have a look at the GameStop PS5 bundle.

However, GameStop has already made it clear that they will be restocking more devices in the future as well and that it will now be readily available to thousands of customers. Redmi Note 11 series to launch with Dimensity processors and 120Hz refresh rate

Xiaomi is going to launch their Redmi Note 11 series on October 28 in China and since the news has been confirmed by the company, new leaks about the phone are coming up every day. It is already confirmed that the company is going to launch three variants which will be Redmi Note 11, Redmi Note 11 Pro, and the Redmi Note 11 Pro+. Out of the three variants, the Note 11 Pro+ will possibly come with 120W fast charging support which was only available in the premium flagship from Xiaomi until now. 

The company has already teased the audience with the teaser of how the phone looks and the kind of memory configurations that will be available once it is launched. It is also expected that the company would release the phone in a new purple avatar, which is also called “Time is Quiet Purple.” The smartphone will include a 120Hz refresh rate, however, it is not confirmed if it will be a feature for all variants or just the top variant. Along with a higher refresh rate, the display is expected to be AMOLED with a 360 Hz sampling rate and DCI-P3 color space coverage.

Overall, the display on the smartphone seems to be a huge upgrade from the previous generation. There was a leak on the internet which speculated the price of the smartphone to start from $187 or CNY 1,199. It is almost confirmed that the smartphones will come with Dimensity processors which will include Dimensity 810, Dimensity 920, and Dimensity 1200. More details will be revealed at the launch event on October 28.
