A lot of new leaks have already started appearing for the Apple Watch 7 which shows a flatter design and a few minor design changes. It was expected that the new Apple Watch 7 could come anytime this year. However, it seems like that is certainly going to be delayed due to its new design elements, which has been reported by Nikkei. Apple recently started a small-scale production for the new smartphone, but the production unit faced a lot of difficulties in reaching satisfactory performance.

The issue is said to be because of the new design of the Apple watch. Apple is now trying to discuss the same with the designers and suppliers before starting the mass production. However, it might take some time before the issue is completely resolved and that would lead to a delay in the launch of the new Apple Watch. The watch was earlier reported to launch alongside the new iPhone 13 lineup, but the new issues might affect the production and sales of the watch as well.

Therefore, we expect Apple to have a separate virtual event for the same where they will be launching the new generation Apple Watch. Apple is already facing a lot of tough competition in the smartwatch category due to the increased number of competitors, especially from China. Such issues are further going to affect the market share of Apple in the segment. For now, Apple has not confirmed anything about the launch or other details of the new Apple watch, but we do expect some new leaks regarding the same in the future.

Recently news was leaked that the new iPhone 13 might add a new feature this year where the phone could also make satellite calls, something that would be a unique offering in the smartphone segment. The details for the same were provided by analyst Ming Kuo Chi. However, soon after a new report came in claiming that the satellite network feature might be very limited in use. Initially, it was expected that the feature would allow the users to make calls, send messages and use the internet in areas where cellular connectivity is not available.

However, as per the new reports, the service will not be available all the time and will only be an emergency service. As per the latest reports, in case the user is not getting any cellular connectivity, they will be able to use the satellite to send an emergency message to anyone. This could be a life-saving feature for many people in emergency situations. It has also been said that this feature might not make it to iPhone 13 and might be released next year.

The messaging service via satellite will be added to the iMessage app on the iPhone and will be used to report emergencies in any case. The feature is said to be not coming on iPhone till next year so we can expect that any additions to iPhone 13 before were scrapped even if planned. However, we can still expect Apple to surprise us with something new in the Apple launch event.

When it comes to online messaging apps, WhatsApp is among the most popular. However, one of the most popular rivals for WhatsApp has been the Telegram app, which is no less in either design or functionality. Telegram has recently become one of the latest apps to cross the one billion download mark, showing the growth in the popularity of the messaging app. The biggest boost that the app received in the number of downloads was earlier this year when users started leaving WhatsApp after their privacy policy changes.

The app has been in the market since 2013 and competes with some of the major messaging apps in the market right now. The app not only provides messaging, but also video chats, and updates experience on voice chat as well. Telegram has been popular worldwide, but the recent data of downloads shows that Indian has been one of the biggest markets and has 22% of the overall lifetime installs of the app. Apart from India, Russia and Indonesia have been next in the number of Telegram App installs.

By focusing more on the privacy factor, Telegram has been able to attract more and more users to its platform and became the seventh most downloaded app globally in 2020. Telegram has also been great when it comes to adding functionality to its platform and sometimes much better and faster than the rival WhatsApp. Telegram has also introduced new features like Clubhouse, Twitter spaces, and more which has made the app a lot more worthwhile than any other app in its segment.

Realme is one of the most popular smartphone brands in the world which has always focused on providing the best of hardware specifications at the lowest possible cost to the consumer. However, as per the recent news, the company will be increasing the price of their smartphone by up to Rs 1,500 in India. The company has started by increasing the prices of five smartphones for now, but it will affect other smartphones in the future as well. All Realme smartphones from budget to mid-range have been made expensive by Rs 1,500.

The five smartphones for which the price has been increased are Realme C11 2021, Realme C25s, Realme C21, Realme 8, and Realme 8. Apart from these smartphones, the company will also be increasing the price for all their 5G smartphones on offer in the market. The major reason for the rise in the price of the smartphone is said to be because of component shortage and it is not just Realme, but other smartphone companies are also facing the same issue.

YouTube video

Due to the lack of components, the price of existing components has risen and it has led to an increase in the overall price of Realme smartphones. The price will be increased from Rs 1,000 to Rs 1,500 for every smartphone. The price can further increase if the shortage of the components is not dealt with quickly. If this case remains the same for a long time, then the effect will also be visible on smartphones from other brands in the Indian market as well.

Instagram makes it a mandate to enter birth date in the app

When you create an Instagram account, you just have to add your basic details, from which not all are a mandate. However, now Instagram will ask you to enter your birth date and unless you add it, you will keep getting notifications for the same. It might sound odd at first but there is a specific reason for it. Instagram was found to be creating another version of their popular platform for all kids under the age of 13. So this might help them to understand the number of users who are under this age limit and the type of content they browse on Instagram.

Many law firms have already mentioned that such social media platforms have been unable to protect children so Instagram has confirmed that keeping the data about the age of users will help them to provide the right experience on Instagram based on their age. They have already announced in the past that they would default users under 16 to a private account when they join the platform. As per Instagram, when the user opens their app, they will get a popup notification about entering their age.

if they neglect to do so, they will keep receiving multiple notifications for the same and at one time, they will not be able to use the app without entering their birth date. Users who have already entered their birth date in the profile will not be bothered by the notification. Also, Instagram is working on a new mechanism that could detect users entering false birth dates. Recently, Tinder also added a mechanism where the users will have to enter a valid government id for birth date verification for creating an account or operating an existing one.

The launch of the new Jio phone is just around the corner and it could be launched as early as September 10. It would be the first complete touchscreen smartphone from the company and would be priced at the lowest possible price from them. The pre-orders for the smartphone are expected to open up this week, for which the deliveries will start after the launch. The smartphone was already expected to launch on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi and would come with a customized version of Google’s Android operating system.

The operating system would have all the necessary Android apps but customized to the smartphone. The phone will be running on a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 215 chipset, which will be powered using a 2,500 mAh battery. It might look like the battery is not enough, but the processor used is not power-hungry and the optimized OS will make sure that the battery lasts the entire day. The phone will also come with a 5.5-inch screen and most probably a dual-camera setup with a 13MP primary sensor.

In the front, it will have a 2MP selfie camera. The price of the smartphone could be as low as Rs 5,000 but it is still not confirmed. Many other smartphone companies are also offering similar configurations within the Rs 6,000 mark, making the Jio phone the most affordable among them. More confirmed information about the same will be available on launch and we expect that Jio would bundle a lot of other things with the smartphone deal as well.
