Apple will soon be launching iOS 15 for iPhones and it brings in a lot of changes, especially when it comes to design and the functionality of Spotlight. Although it is still under testing for bugs and other optimization, many of the features that we can expect are already known. One of the major differences that the users will be able to notice after upgrading to iOS 15 is the search optimization in Spotlight. Spotlight could now be accessed even from the locked screen, with just a swipe down.

It makes it easier for the users as they do not have to unlock the phone just to search for something on Spotlight. The results shown on Spotlight search are now going to be much richer and will have more information. Instead of just text, it will now also add images and data. For example, if a user is searching for a movie, it will not only list the details for the same but will also list the actors, trailers, seasons, links to the TV app, and a lot more.

The new search method will also allow the users to have a web image search. When you search for a term, the Spotlight will highlight a range of images, which when clicked on will give more details about the image as well. Also while searching for an app, you can simply install it from the SPotlight screen, without having to close the search window. Spotlight search has also integrated the Maps functionality to provide you the suggestion of a location-based the search

A while back Google announced the Call recording feature on the Google Phone app on the Android operating system. Although the feature had a very slow rollout globally due to certain recording restrictions in some parts of the globe, it is now coming to Pixel devices. The feature was recently discovered in the Pixel 4a device in India where the users were able to see the recording option at the calling panel while making the call. The option will be available as soon as the call is picked up.

It can also be activated from the Google Phone app>>Settings>>Call Recording, if it is automatically not activated. Although not all users will get the new option on the Pixel device based on the region. Where some regions do not allow the users to use the call recording feature, Pixel devices in that region will not be able to use this feature. The feature that is currently available on Pixel devices in India, was not found to be available on Pixel devices in the UK and France. If the Pixel device does get the new call recording option, then the users will be able to manually set the deletion time of such call recording.

Also, the settings can be changed to manual deletion, where the call recording will stay in the memory till the time the user does not remove it themselves. You can open the Google Phone app and start using this feature. Some users might get a message that the feature is illegal in your country or region while activating the feature.

After the release of MagSafe by Apple in 2020 with the iPhone 12, it was clear that the same technology would be used in other smartphones as well. One of the first to adopt it and transform it into a smartphone is Realme. They are currently working on Realme GT Master Edition which comes with MagDart technology that works exactly as in the iPhone 12. It can magnetically charge smartphones and now there are leaked images of MagDart available online to prove that.

Prototype images of the smartphone have been shared online by tipster OnLeaks which not only shows the smartphone but the MagDard charging mechanism as well. Realme will not be limiting the feature to just one smartphone, but will also extend it to other smartphones in the future. However, this is just the prototype as the real Realme GT Master Edition which will be released in India soon does not come with MagDart charging feature. The MagDart comes with 15W wireless charging support which Realme would definitely want to increase in the future.

The MagDart has a circular magnetic coil that will attach to the back of the smartphone to help with wireless charging. Although it is a concept, the company has not confirmed if they will be launching a version of this smartphone with MagDart or will it be in the future with a completely new handset in the market. For now, Realme is providing up to 65W wired charging capabilities and we soon expect them to develop wireless charging to those standards.

One of the major problems that many online teachers and students have faced in a video conference is that they are unable to focus in the same way as in a face-to-face class. Zoom has understood this and has finally introduced a new kind of feature called Focus Mode to their platform. The new model is made especially to help the students in being attentive in the class and not get distracted easily.

The feature allows the teacher to hide videos and screens shared by other students so that the students are unable to see what others are doing. Also, the new Focus Mode allows the host to select which participant should be visible in the meeting or not. Apart from this, the teacher can also deactivate the Focus mode in between the calls so that the students can discuss a certain topic with each other. Not only online learning, but the feature can also be used in the corporate environment, where the host can control the visibility of participants in the call.

No matter who uses it, the feature is made in such a way that it increases the attentiveness of the participant. One has to update Zoom to version 5.7.3 on Windows or Mac after which they will be able to use the new feature. The feature is currently only available on the desktop application of Zoom and not on the mobile platform. However, we can soon expect the same on the mobile version in the coming months.
