Apple AirTags was launched a couple of months back where these small Bluetooth-enabled devices could be used to track almost anything. These were great devices to keep a track of your keys and other valuable things in the house. It could also be used in Wallets, or to find any other types of possession. However, as per a recent case in Canada, it has been found that robbers and thieves are using Apple AirTags to steal cars as well.

The surprising case reported that thieves are using Apple AirTags to track the vehicle to the owner’s house and then steal the cars from that location. As per the police department, since the AirTags can be easily hidden in cars due to their small size, robbers and thieves use them to track and steal high-end cars. As per the reports, the AirTags were hidden in out-of-sight areas in the cars when they were in any public parking and were then tracked to the victim’s residence.

Once at the location, screwdrivers were used to get in the car and using electronic devices, the car was reprogrammed through the dashboard to accept new keys. As per the police department, the users should be vigilant about any kind of tracking device they find on the car and should report it immediately. Also, the car owners are suggested to use a steering wheel lock and install security cameras. Also, it is suggested that the cars should be parked inside the garage rather than the driveway.

Mediatek is one of the primary companies in the chipset market which provides processors for smartphones. Earlier today a new vulnerability was found in Mediatek chipsets which provides access to the AI and audio data of the device. As per CheckPoint Research, the vulnerability allows the local privilege escalation attacks from any third-party application. Therefore, a third-party app with a properly written code can access the audio and AI data of the device.

However, the good news for the users is that the issue has been fixed almost instantly before it could be exploited by anyone and user data could be compromised. It was also discovered that the vulnerability was very difficult to exploit, but if done, it could have provided the users with the authority to pass specific commands to the audio interface. MediaTek currently has more than 43% of the smartphone market share and if the vulnerability would have been exploited it could have been a major issue.

The issue was fixed back in the month of October. Therefore, it is recommended for the users to keep their phones up to date so that the update could be installed automatically. Currently, Mediatek is in the process of creating a new chipset for the next year and is expected to bring a whole new range of powerful chipset in competition to Qualcomm Snapdragon. Recently, they have also claimed that one of their new chipsets in development, the Dimensity 9000 is much more powerful than the Apple A15 Bionic chipset in performance.

A new bug was identified in the Twitter iOS app where the tweets used to disappear while the users were reading them. Since the tweets used to disappear mid-read, it was very frustrating for the users. However, Twitter has recently released a new update for the iOS app which resolves the issue. The issue started when it was reported by the users that the tweets used to disappear when they were trying to add the replies to an ongoing conversation. As per the update given by Twitter on their latest update, the users will now be able to see the tweets when they pause the timeline to look at the tweet.

The issue was reported by users earlier this month after which the update was released. The issue initially started from the month of September this year, but only a handful of users were affected unless the reports increased in number. The tweets used to move up the time as the replies were added to it. If you are facing a similar issue, then it is suggested to update the app on the iOS version immediately as it is available.

Apart from these changes, the company has been trying to tweak the interface to make it faster and easier for the users to read and reply to the tweets as well. Twitter is also planning a few upgrades for the platform like subscription services and more features for the verified accounts. However, there is no dedicated timeline announced for the launch.
