The new features that are soon going to come in most smartphones are virtual RAM. Virtual RAM not only increases the RAM capacity of the smartphone but also increases its performance. Although this is only available to smartphones having good hardware, it will slowly be a part of smartphones in a wider aspect. We have already noticed many other companies adopting the virtual RAM feature, and now Xiaomi seems to be joining in as well.

It has been reported that Xiaomi will be adding the feature of virtual RAM in their smartphones through MIUI 13. It will not only add as a feature in the new smartphones but will also increase the performance of their older smartphones. The feature is almost confirmed and unlike other companies, the feature will be available to all the smartphones that will support MIUI13. The feature will use the unused memory on the smartphone and will convert it into virtual memory up to 3GB.

When available, the feature will scan the memory of the smartphone, and if the required memory is available, it will convert it into virtual RAM. Companies like Oppo, Vivo, and Realme have already used this feature, but they are only limited to a particular handset. However, with Xiaomi, this will be available to a large variety of handsets and especially for the older smartphones. The MIUI 13 is expected to launch in the month of August this year and is speculated to bring in a lot of other new features to the smartphones as well, including an entirely new look.

WhatsApp has been working on multi-device support for a long time where users will be able to use WhatsApp on multiple devices at the same time. They are now releasing the multi-device support feature to the beta version of the app for some testers to make it more stable and checkout for any bugs and issues remaining. The main feature that will be added through this is that the users will be able to use the WhatsApp Web, WhatsApp Desktop and Portal on the main phone without any kind of internet connection.

The Facebook-owned company has also confirmed that they have been rolling out the feature to beta testers partially and might take time before it reaches all the users. It might also be possible that the WhatsApp account is not eligible for the same. It does suggest that the company is thinking about launching the stable version of the feature very soon. If you want to check out whether the feature has been activated on your device or not, then you can simply go to WhatsApp settings and check if there is a new setting option of “Multi-device” instead of WhatsApp Web or Desktop.

If the option is available, then the users can join the beta program from WhatsApp. WhatsApp has been working on a lot of new features and they will soon be launched in the coming months as a stable version for global users. Until then, we will have to wait until the bugs are resolved and then released as a global stable version.

iPhone 13 seems to be the hot topic for most of the tipsters and leaksters for a while now. Almost every day, new leaks and details are coming online about the upcoming iPhone 13. As per the new details that have emerged for the phone, the new iPhone 13 series will have a new LiDAR scanner along with onboard memory of up to 1TB. It seems a bit surprising and amazing at the same time. There is no such phone in the premium category as well that can offer 1TB of internal memory.

The most common question that would arrive in every user’s mind will only be the performance of the iPhone with such a huge memory to access. Apart from that, experts have also analyzed the supply chain for iPhone 13 and have confirmed that this year the iPhone 13 series will come with the LiDAR scanner as well. Now it will be interesting to see if Apple continues to add it to the most expensive variants or add it to the base variant.

When it comes to the memory option, it is expected that if Apple decides to go with either 512GB or 1TB, then there would also be a difference in the storage capacity provided in the base variant. It might be the case that the company decides to remove the 64GB version and starts the base version at 128GB. No matter what they decide, adding more onboard memory is surely going to be a great addition for iPhone users. Apart from that Apple will also be bringing the LTPO screen along with a 120Hz refresh rate.

One of the most common types of malware that has affected the Windows operating system users for a while is crypto-malware. It affects the performance of Windows and uses the system for crypto-mining without the owner of the system knowing about it. One such malware has been recently detected and is spreading at a very fast rate. The new LemonDuck named malware has already evolved into sophisticated malware and has affected users worldwide. The malware is affecting the users both on Windows and Linux operating systems.

The threat was reported by the Windows 365 Defender threat intelligence team. As per them, it is basically attacking companies who have been working on systems that are still not updated and have not patched the system of previously known vulnerabilities. The malware is also known to steal the login and other important credentials from the system. It would remove all the security controls on the system to make it easily spread through the system and install it completely in the system. It would further make the system vulnerable to any type of attack from various sources.

The malware is said to be spreading through news, trending topics, campaigns, and other things that users normally check out on the internet. The malware is said to be affecting countries like the USA, China, India, Russia, Germany, UK, and many more. It has been confirmed that the malware is basically targeting IoT companies and manufacturing companies as well. There has been a lot of leaks and news about the upcoming MacBook Pros this year. Some of the almost confirmed details include the absence of a touch bar, new M1X processor, mingled screens, and a lot more. However, these are not the only things that will be changed in the new series of MacBook Pros. In fact, we can expect a lot more additions to the new model. Similar is the case for Macbook Air, as the new version will be coming with a new design element and a lot of new changes.

We all know that Apple is changing the design of all their products, which is actually based on the new iPhone 12 design, with sharp edges and a more geometrical look. Similar will be the case with Macbook Air and Pros as well. The new Air will be a lot thinner and sleeker when compared to the previous generation and will also come with a much larger trackpad. Similarly, the Macbook Air will also come with the new miniLED display that will also be replaced on most Apple devices.

The new miniLED display will not only improve the display but will also reduce power consumption. While MacBook Air might come with the Mu processor, the Macbook Pros will come with a new M1X processor which will be a lot more powerful and resource-efficient. It has also been said that the new Macbook Pro will come in a new 14 and 16-inch model as well. Facebook start cloud gaming services through a web app on iOS

Facebook has been trying to diversify and step into multiple platforms. This time, they have entered the online gaming platform through cloud gaming on iOS devices through web apps. Unlike Amazon and Google, they have not been publishing about this as much and have suddenly launched the services online. Since it is the future of gaming as per many experts and companies, it is the best time for Facebook to enter the market and show its dominance.

Although they have launched on the web app, it will not be available through the App Store due to pricing issues, which has been the major point for many cloud-based gaming services like Google and Amazon, which has made them avoid the App Store for their service launch. Using the web app, the iPhone users can add the web shortcut on the home screen of the device and access it from there just like an app. The major reason for avoiding the App Store is the 30% commission for each game on the App store which practically made no sense for the companies.

Facebook is also adding a “How to Start video” for users who want to try their cloud-based gaming services. A similar web platform will also be adopted by Microsoft and Amazon to launch similar services on iOS. For now, you can try the Facebook cloud gaming services on the iOS device through a web app and let us know in the comment about your experience. Facebook also confirmed that they will be adding a lot more games on the platform regularly.

Indian scientists discover material that can repair itself

A few months back, news started coming in about a new kind of material for smartphones that can heal itself in case of damage. It is not a new technology and is something smartphone industries have been trying to work on for years now. Finally, a group of Indian scientists has been able to create a new material which is piezoelectric molecular crystals. It not only repairs itself in case of damage but also does not require any kind of external intervention.

The crystal generally works on the concept of generating electricity which further undergoes a mechanical impact and repairs the damage on its own. If the technology comes into commercial use after the research and development are complete, it can increase the durability and life of the products and other things that it will be used in. Also, it would decrease the maintenance cost of the product. The material was created in the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Kolkata in collaboration with IIT Kharagpur.

The self-healing process of the molecules starts in milliseconds to repair the surface. Such material not only increases durability but will also make sure that things last a lot longer. It can not only be used in smartphones but also in many different products and vehicles as well. The application that it can be used on is various, however, it will still take some time for this technology to fully develop and become commercially available to all.
