Apple Vs Fortnite has been long gone for a few months with Fortnite players on the Apple Platform not getting any type of updates for the game. For those players, who are unable to play the game on iOS and Mac devices, Epic Games is giving away free bucks to make up for Apple blocking the game updates. The game was removed in the month of August, when the Epic Games developers were found to be using their own payment system instead of Apple’s, avoiding the commission that one has to pay. 

Due to this, Epic Games released an update for Fortnite on iOS and Android devices that would allow players to undermine their device’s app store and purchase V-Bucks directly from Epic Games at a discounted price. The users of Fortnite on the iOS and Mac platforms continue to show frustration after the game was removed from the App Store. Although Epic Games made an announcement on the Twitter account that those who purchased V-Bucks through the Apple App Store and have yet to spend them.

 Epic Games is doubling the number of unspent V-Bucks that were purchased through the App Store for iOS and through the Epic Games Store on Mac, with the replacement V-Bucks usable on any platform. Epic Games has been trying to do all the things in an attempt to hold the players from not leaving the platform. Regardless of the fact that iOS users are still unable to use the games and will not be able to spend the V-bucks this time, it is very clear that Epic Games is trying to retain every iOS and Mac user.

Nokia to launch new truly 5G smartphones in the US market on November 9.

Nokia has made yet another announcement that they have currently been working on a new series of smartphones and this one is going to be the flagship smartphone for the company. As per the details, the smartphone with Nokia branding will initially be announced in the US market on November 9, Monday, at 7:30 IST. The teaser for the phone suggests that the phone will only be launched in the US market for now and later will be provided to the global market. It is not yet clear as to whether it is the event only from one mobile phone or a series of mobiles or other devices.

It is expected that the phone will support the 5G network as it will be powered by the Snapdragon 865 SoC chipset from Qualcomm. Although there are also reports that it might be the Nokia 9.3, a great successor for the early services. The leaks suggest that the phone will have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor coupled with 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage. The phone is also expected to house an OLED display, which will be powered by a 4,500mAh battery and fast charging wireless support as well.

As per the company, this smartphone will be the first truly 5G phone in the world. Some rumors also state the Nokia Pureview 9’s successor will sport the Qualcomm Snapdragon 875 processor and will be a part of the announcement. We do not have a lot of details right now but the way the companies are representing their phone, the launch is going to be very soon in an event tomorrow at 9:PM.

Nokia has recently announced a new device called the Nokia Smart Node in the market, which aims to bring 4G and 5G networks indoors and can easily be mounted anywhere at home. The device was quietly launched by the company who is looking forward to developing and offering a lot of new devices to the customers apart from their popular phones. The Smart Node offers modularity to the users and allows them to choose between a 4G and 5G standalone and non-standalone network inside their office space. 

The Smart Node is especially a boon for office spaces that regularly receive network issues and lack of availability in their office spaces and do not offer a good 4G and 5G connectivity around. Nokia has a similar solution for people who are experiencing slow 5G and 4G networks in their homes. They can simply use Nokia’s 5G Fast Mile Gateway which would improve the network connectivity for their devices. However, it can only be used in a small limited space, like a home, and not in a big office.

It is why Nokia has developed the Smart Node, which can cover up to 64 users at one time. The only problem seems to be that the Smart Node is not commercially available and will most probably be offered by local mobile carriers to the small or medium business enterprise. However, the device seems to be very useful in terms of functionality and increasing the efficiency of work in the office space. It would definitely be a great addition to any office.

We all know that Samsung has already been working on their new Samsung Galaxy S21 series soon after the launch of the S20 series. They have also been testing the prototype for the same which has appeared on various platforms. Judging by the details that have been leaked up till now, the Samsung Galaxy S21 will be launching much earlier than expected, to steal the consumers from the newly launched iPhone 12 series. As per the latest leaks, the official dates of the device announcement, pre-order, and launch have been revealed along with the color options that will be available for the home. 

As per the details from analyst Jon Prosser, who normally gives out details for the iPhones, have shared the dates as per which Samsung will be launching three variants which are Samsung Galaxy S21, S21+, S21 Ultra. The smartphones will be announced on January 14, 2021. Also, the pre-orders for the smartphone will start on the same date. Also, the smartphones will be officially launched on January 29, 2021, in Black, White, Grey, Silver, Violet, and Pink.

The newly launched colors in the series, seem to be a good inspiration from the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE edition. Although, it is still not clear as to which model will receive all the color options to choose from. Samsung has already made it clear that they would be looking for an early launch in January, moving on from February, which used to be their official month of the new smartphone announcement.

Spotify’s new subscription services might crush Apple Music.

When it comes to podcasting, Spotify is one of the best services out there. Competitors like Apple have been on a path to buy multiple podcasting companies in the last couple of years, which could provide Apple with strong podcasting services that could overtake Spotify. However, Spotify is coming up with a new subscription that could take over Apple and even beat Apple music in the category. Spotify has recently been sending out surveys to its users about their thoughts on podcast-focused Spotify premium subscription offerings. 

The offering would allow the users to have access to streamers’ exclusive podcast content with a monthly subscription fee. The survey basically talks about various subscription plans and tiers where the pricing could go from $3 to $8 per month. As per their official statement, “At Spotify, we routinely conduct a number of surveys in an effort to improve our user experience. Some of those end up paving the path for our broader user experience and others serve only as important learnings. We have no further news to share on future plans at this time.”

The survey also talks about the cheapest plans on Spotify that can include ads and access to exclusive interviews and episodes. The most expensive subscription would offer early access to episodes and also the removal of ads. Also, the subscription for podcast-only services will not be a part of Spotify Premium music subscription and will be treated as a totally different service. During the pandemic, Spotify saw a large increase in the number of users who preferred listening to podcasts as compared to music, due to which Spotify is asking users about Podcast specific subscriptions.

It has not been much time for Xiaomi since they have released the Mi 10 series, and the details of the Mi 11 model have started to leak out. Earlier this week, Xiaomi discontinued Mi 10 Pro in China, with Mi 10 going out of stock in the market on a regular basis. It was a sign that the company is soon going to bring in the successor for the series. Now a new Xiaomi smartphone has come upon Geekbench which is expected to be the Mi 11 series. 

The device was found to be running on the Snapdragon 875 processor, which is yet to be launched by Qualcomm in December officially. The details on GeekBench did give a lot of details about the phone. Some of these are the use of Snapdragon 875 chipset and a 48MP ultra-wide camera with a pixel size of ​​0.8μm. It was also hinted that the new Mi 11 series would come with camera improvements in terms of stabilization.

It is not clear if the specs are for the standard version or the pro version, but it is expected that more details about the phone will leak in the future. Rumors of two more Redmi 9 series phones have been in the air for a long time now. Initially, it was expected that there could be three new models that could be launched by the end of the year. However, it has been now confirmed that the two new models that will be launched are Redmi Note 9 5G and Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G. The news is now confirmed thanks to the TENAA listings of both devices. The listing also provides the hardware specs for the phone which shows that both the phones will have power-packed performance. 

While Redmi Note 9 5G comes with a Mediatek processor, the Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G will be expected to launch with the Qualcomm Snapdragon processors, although both the models will have 5G capabilities. The Redmi Note 9 5G has a model number M2007J22C and the image hints towards a polycarbonate body for the phone. The model is expected to be powered by octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 800U SoC and will have three different variants having 4,6, and 8GB RAM. When it comes to storage options, it will have a 64,128 and 256 GB variant.
