Google web applications have been one of the most popular platforms for people to work on their professional and personal projects. Among those, Google Docs and Sheets has been one of the more popular and also one of the most used in the market. As per the latest details, Google Docs has now completed more than 1 Billion downloads on the Play Store, showing how popular and useful the app has been for the users. We all know that Google is one of the biggest search engines in the world and the company wants to provide Google users multiple services and apps, which can be accessed under a single Google account.

Also, professionals who use the Google platform have a large requirement for multiple tools, making Google Docs as one of the most used platforms and services by Google. Since the service is completely free to use and all the documents are saved on the cloud storage, it makes it much easier for people to access the docs from almost anywhere and any device. Due to this, the app has become more useful on Android phones to access the docs and create new ones.

Google Docs took almost six years to make the download reach 1 Billion and that too when it is not a mandatory app with the Android OS. It is also suspected that the huge rise in the number of downloads is due to the fact that more and more people are working from home in the pandemic. An increase in the new platform of Google Workspace has also been one of the reasons for the increasing popularity. No matter what the reason is, the platform has become more and more useful for people working on online tools.

Huawei is known for smartphones with some of the best hardware configuration available in the world. Now it’s official as well as Huawei Mate 40’s HiSilicon Kirin 9000 chipset has ranked at the first position in the benchmarks. The phone was launched on 23 October and it did not take any time for people to check the phone for its benchmarks. The phone is the latest flagship from the company and is powered by the HiSilicon Kirin 9000 chip.

Huawei launched and announced these chipsets earlier this week which were built on 5nm architecture from TMSC and have a large boost in both performance and energy efficiency. The company has also confirmed that the CPU has also been improved in the chipset, but no official figures have been released up till now. The HiSilicon Kirin 9000 is in the 1st position with a total of 216.6 points, beating both the MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ chip and even the Qualcomm 865+ SoC. The new Kirin 9000 is an 8 core CPU with 24 core Mali G78 GPU with it.

Along with that, it also has 2 Big and 1 Tiny core NPU. As per the company, it is currently the most powerful chipset in the market right now and has 30% more transistors than the new Apple A14 bionic chipset., making it 10% faster than the Qualcomm 865+, beating them by a margin of 240%. It will be interesting to see if the new Snapdragon 875, which is due to launch at the end of the year, can gain a higher position than Kirin 9000 in terms of performance.

iPhone 12 teardown videos have become really popular all over the internet as it provides deep insight into the hardware and internal design of the smartphone. Although the video was only about iPhone 12 among the series, another video has been released online that provides a deep teardown about the iPhone 12 Pro model. The teardown video was shared by a Chinese tech channel which provided a teardown comparison between the iPhone 12 and 12 Pro models and showed the kind of similarities both the phone has.

It seems that the design of both variants is almost similar to each other. The teardown video shows both the models having a similar L-shaped design for the logic board, with the only difference between the two being the LiDAR connector, which is not available on the iPhone 12 model. However, what was more surprising in the video was the same kind of battery capacity that lies in both the variants. The iPhone 12 and 12 Pro models have the same 2,815 mAh battery capacity.

It was expected that one of the variants could have had a different battery capacity, especially the Pro model. However, since the outer design of the body is the same, the battery capacity remains unchanged. So, in the comparison video, it could easily be seen that both the models have exactly the same body and hardware except the LiDAR sensor. It also brings a curious fact out that, is it possible to swap the parts between iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro.

A recent teardown video of iPhone 12 that has been surfing over the internet for a couple of days, showed that Apple is using Qualcomm Snapdragon modem for better 5G connectivity and band. Earlier this year, Apple made an announcement about the agreement with Qualcomm, which put an end to the long-standing legal battle between the two. It might be the reason why the company is now using Qualcomm devices. Now the future roadmap for Apple does seem to make it clear that they will be using Qualcomm modems in their smartphones and smart devices.

The iPhone 12 series was the first device to do so, using the X55 modems from Qualcomm. Apple is reportedly also using the X60 modem for their devices in the time period of 1st June 2021 and 31st May 2022, details available in the Apple-Qualcomm settlement filing. Similarly, Apple will also be using the X70 modem range from 1st June 2022 and 31st May 2024. It does seem to clear a block between how both the companies were doing business and it seems that both the companies are going to benefit a lot from the deals.

The X60 modems are based on the new 5nm architecture and will provide an exceptional performance boost to the Apple devices when it comes to network connectivity, especially for the 5G enabled devices. Smartphones that feature the X60 will also be able to aggregate data from both mmWave and sub 6GHz at the same time to achieve high speeds with lower latency.

Earlier, Apple provided the Apple streaming device users with the Apple TV Remote app on the App Store, which was used to control all the features of its streaming devices right from the smartphone. However, with the new range of devices, the company is already offering a smart remote integration with updated iOS devices, due to which the company has decided to remove the app.

YouTube video

Since Apple has integrated the Apple TV Remote functionality into Control Center on iOS starting from iOS 12 onwards, it will be much easier for users to control the devices using their smartphone and iPads directly, without the need for an app. The only condition is that you need to be on the latest OS as per the company. It’s not just the removal of the app, it might also be possible that the company has discontinued the application altogether.

The users who already have the app on the smartphone will no longer get any kind of updates from Apple. Also, the app did not make any more sense as Apple devices with iOS 12 can already control the devices without the app. If you are on the latest version of iOS, Apple TV Remote will be automatically integrated into Control Center to use with your Apple TV or Apple TV 4K. On the older version of the iOS, which is up to iOS 12, one has to integrate remote will have to be added to the Control Center manually. If you have the app, then you can continue to use it for your devices.
