If you have been playing games on the smartphone and have seen ads for games like Gardenscapes, you must have realized that the gameplay shown in the ad is not what you get in the game. Especially if you have played the game called Gardenscapes and Homescapes, then you would be the first one to know that. Since these ads did not represent the actual gameplay and were giving wrong details about the game simply to attract the users, the Advertising Standards Agency has banned both these apps through Facebook ads.

With the images and representation in the ads, you would always see a message that “Not all images represent actual gameplay.”. However, specifically, in this case, the ads were a complete misinterpretation of the gameplay. As per the reports from ASA, they received seven user complaints about the misleading ads. Playrix states that these features are available in the games as mini-games. But the people who have been playing these games, already know that it is not the truth. As per Playrix, only 0.03% reach the level of the game, where they will be able to play such mini-games.

As per the app developer, these features were added in the game so that they could convey the different elements that are part of the game and provide a whole lot of variety to the users. However, if the feature is only available to 0.03% of the gamers, then it does not represent anything that the new users or users at the early stages will experience. Due to this, the developer has now changed the ad content based on the early levels of gameplay.

One of the biggest problems for some users on the Windows Operating system has been the startup apps. While you install apps on the system, there is always an option to “Launch apps on Startup“, which is made to miss the user’s eye. As a result, multiple apps launch when you start up your system, making the system slower. Now Microsoft Windows 10 has added a new feature to the operating system where you will have complete control over the apps to launch at the startup.

The new feature triggers a startup app alert in cases where it leads to system slowdown. There were many Window programs which used to launch at the startup immediately and the users did not have the control to stop them before. However, since they were potentially hampering the system’s performance, Microsoft created a list of apps and allowed users to control them. The new notification window would pop up, letting you know that the app was added to the startup programs list and it can run in the background.

There you will also have the option to disable the app launch. It is a great option for software, which sneaks in the startup app list at the time of installation. If you miss the list or this new screen, you can always go to the Settings screen and access the list of startup apps with their current status, and the effect. Task manager is also an option where you can see the list of running software and disable them.

Google Play Music has been part of the Google Play platform for a long time. After the announcement of its closure in August, the companies made an announcement about its depreciating timeline. The shutdown continues today to remove the ability to buy music from the global Playstore market. As per Google, streaming has been one of the most popular services in the world right now and people often use it to view videos and music. In such cases, where streaming services are the new thing for media, the platform to buy songs will not reflect the choice of the users in today’s era.

Although there are still platforms like iTunes and Amazon, who continue to provide songs for the user to buy, Google will now totally be focusing on streaming services and providing the media through it. Google Play music allowed the users to play music in GPM and buy them as well. Users could have purchased and downloaded the songs as MP3. For many devices, you will not be able to see the option of “Browse Music” in the Play Store and it will also lose the ability to stream music on the global platform.

For people who have made purchases or have a certain playlist to upload, they can simply move the entire data to Youtube Music till December. After December, the entire data on the Google Play Music platform will completely be removed and you will have no second chances to restore it. It seems that it’s finally time to say goodbye to Google Play Music.

When it comes to having internet services, all would agree to the point that internet services have become a lot cheaper over the last few years and are continuing to get cheaper due to the increased competition. However, when you talk about high-speed internet, you will still have to shell out a lot of money, only to get higher speed and unlimited upload and downloads. However, Billionaire Elon Musk has very different plans. He is all geared up to provide everyone with cheaper high-speed internet using the Starlink Public Beta. SpaceX has recently launched its 12th Starlink Mission, which brings the internet-beaming satellite constellation to just under 800.

It would be adequate enough to deliver moderate coverage in North America. SpaceX will soon roll out the fairly wide public beta in the northern US and also southern Canada. They are also trying to expand the same to other countries as soon as they have regulatory approval. The beta stage is expected to provide the speed in gigabit, which will be a minimum of 1GBPS and a low latency of 25ms. Starlink would offer these internet speeds at $80 per month, which would be very competitive if you look at the broadband plans in other countries.

SpaceX has launched almost 775 Linux powered Starlink Satellites till now and the satellite’s orbit at a distance of almost 500kms. With technology, SpaceX believes that they will be able to provide internet to people at better quality and cheaper prices. The prospects do look to be great and will be something the company will improve over time

Oppo has been working on a new smartphone which was spotted last week on FCC, with model number CPH2185. The device was very identical to Realme Narzo10, which made people think that it might be a rebranded version from Oppo. However, the new details reveal that it will not just be a re-branded phone, but a lot more than that. The all-new Oppo A15 has been officially teased on the Amazon website which shows that the phone will have a triple camera setup, where it will have a 13MP primary sensor paired with a 2MP macro shooter and 2MP depth sensor.

Now the specs reveal that the phone is nothing close to the Narzo series and will be powered by the Mediatek P35 chipset. The phone will be powered by 3GB RAM and 32 GB of internal memory as well. The phone will also have the option to expand the memory using a memory card which will be supported up to 256GB. They will feature a 6.52-inch HD+ LCD panel and will come with a dewdrop notch, which will hold the 5MP camera.

If the pricing comes out to be competitive, then the phone could really hit all the marks well.

One of the biggest diagnostics chains in India, Dr. Lal PathLabs left a huge tranche of data of its patients, including the COVID test results of people exposed on a public server. The data stayed there for around a year before being reported by Melbourne-based security expert Sami Toivonen. As per them, the records of patients are in millions and some of them date back to even early 2019.

As per their official statement, “The publicly exposed S3 bucket contained over 9,000 files that included booking details including full names, gender, full addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, patient UID’s (unique identification numbers), digital signatures, limited payment details, doctor details and codes, and details and pictures of where, when, and what laboratory tests were taken“.

TechCrunch was the first to report about the data exposure. The diagnostic chain was storing the data on spreadsheets and saving it on the Amazon Web services without any password. Due to which the data became accessible to almost everyone. The data exposure was reported last month and since then it has been shut down. The data exposure has also been confirmed by Dr. Lal PathLabs and there is no confirmation on how it was exposed. As per them, they received an email from a cyber-security researcher about a misconfiguration in one of our minor web applications.

It was the web application where the data was stored temporarily. As per the diagnostic chain, the data affected is less than 0.5% of their records. It has been informed that any person who has used the services of the diagnostic chain in the last year or two, should be on the lookout for fraud email, messages, and phones from fraudsters posing as the diagnostic chain.

Ever since the ban of Chinese apps in India, PUBG has been looking for an alternative to enter back into the Indian app market. The South Korean firm PUBG Corporation is making every effort to combine its resources with an Indian firm and get unbanned from the Indian platform. Earlier, there were rumors that PUBG is looking out for partnership with Reliance Jio so that they could have the publishing rights for the game in India. Now as per the new details, PUBG has also confirmed talks with the telecom giant Airtel. It seems that the talks between both organizations are currently in the early stages.

If the talks go well, then either Airtel or Jio will get the publishing right for the game and they will replace the Chinese publisher Tencent in India. Currently, there are no details as to whether the game will be restored on Google Play Store or how long will it take for the app to return in India. PUBG has already broken ties with Tencent almost immediately after the app was banned. Therefore, they do not have any more connection with the Chinese firm due to which they were banned from the Indian market.

Therefore, the only feasible option for PUBG would be to integrate the services with an Indian firm to get back access to the Indian market. It would be really interesting to know the details about the talks happening between PUBG and the Indian firms, and when the app will finally make a comeback
