A few days back WhatsApp brought forward their new privacy policies for the users which they had to accept in order to continue using the application. The new changes in the privacy policy stated that the user information from WhatsApp will be used by Facebook as they are trying to make WhatsApp a new e-commerce platform for the users. The users started getting a popup in the app asking them to accept the policy changes before February 8, to continue using the app.

Due to the very same reason, the company received a backlash from both the individual users and companies on forcing the users to accept the new privacy policies in order to use the app. Due to this, billionaires like Elon Musk also advised people to remove the WhatsApp app and start using the Signal app, which is a great alternative to it. The company has now posted a new message on Twitter, mentioning, “address some rumors and be 100% clear.”

As per their official statement in the FAQ section, “We want to be clear that the policy update does not affect the privacy of your messages with friends or family in any way. Instead, this update includes changes related to messaging a business on WhatsApp, which is optional, and provides further transparency about how we collect and use data.“” The company claims that the new privacy policy in no way states that the company will have access to the messages in WhatsApp as they are encrypted and cannot be accessed by anyone except the users themselves. Since then the company has seen a large drop of WhatsApp users globally and is now trying to patch up the confusion related to it.

Some of the PlayStation 5 users have made complaints that while using the Dual Sense controller, they have found the device is somewhat magnetized.

The issues have been specifically mentioned by people who were wearing a mechanical watch. The information has been mentioned on Reddit where a user name “Higuchi” gave the details about the reported issue. The post mentions that the Dual Sense controller might not harm your mechanical watch, the handheld device absolutely gives off a magnetic charge. The same issue was also confirmed by multiple PS5 users as well and confirmed that the issue is true.

One of the Playstation users also confirmed that while comparing the DualSense to the DualShock 4, he found that the former has a much stronger charge than the latter. It does look that the charge from the controller is not as strong that it can create any damage, therefore, it will not affect your watch in any way. The issue is although very fascinating for the users and that the controller emits a small electromagnetic field is very surprising. It seems that features like haptic feedback and adaptive triggers are the reason for the same.

Ever since the attack in the US by Trump supporters, companies and people have been trying to break their engagement with anything related to Donald Trump. In the same trend, Google has recently removed the app called Parler, which is a social media app popular among the Trump supporters on Google Play Store. As per the official statement from Google, “They require social media apps to have content moderation policies that remove posts that incite violence, and that posts on Parler were encouraging further violence after the U.S. Capitol riot earlier this week.”

The app removal was a direct consequence of violence at the U.S. Capitol by Trump supporters on Wednesday that left five people dead. Google has recently renewed the calls for social media and technology companies to closely moderate the platform and check for any calls that incite violence. In the same way, Twitter has also banned the Official Twitter account of Donald Trump forever as the recent tweets from the account were known to incite violence.

Many screenshots have also become viral and have been posted on News channels where they post on the app Parlor shows references to firing squads and calls to bring weapons to the presidential inauguration later this month. Google has also confirmed that they have already warned the app about the contents earlier this year as well. As per Parler CEO John Matze, the app does not have censorship and people can say anything they want to openly. The app is still accessible through the web from where it can be downloaded. It is also suspected that even Apple is planning to remove the app from its platform.

Elon Musk criticizes WhatsApp on their privacy policies and asks people to use Signal instead

Ever since WhatsApp has brought in their new privacy policies and has kept a condition for the users to either accept them or stop using WhatsApp, many individuals and companies have been criticizing their move. In the list of people criticizing them, Elon Musk has also given his opinion on the same. The billionaire went over to Facebook on Thursday and slammed Facebook on their latest privacy policy update. Musk even went ahead and suggested people use the messaging app Signal instead.

The tweet by Elon Musk gained a lot of views and was further re-tweeted by Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey. Shortly after the tweet, Singal went on to receive a huge number of new users on their platform. This is not the first time that Musk has publicly criticized Facebook on the same privacy issues. He has already removed both his personal and company Facebook page in the past as well for both Tesla and SpaceX.

Where WhatsApp has been sharing the user data with Facebook ever since the acquisition, the new privacy policy further expands the ways the sharing of data will be done. On the other hand, the messaging app Signal is known for not sharing the data and trying to keep the user data protected to their best level. No matter what, WhatsApp’s new privacy policy has created a stir among the users where they have not been given a choice to share the data and instead have been simply asked to accept them or stop using the service.
