It has been a while since Micromax announced their two new smartphones and finally re-entered the Indian market. The IN series, as the smartphone has been named has been reviewed by many people online and the specs and performance do seem to show that the company is here to stay. The Micromax In Note 1 is the most powerful of the two smartphones that the company has launched and is priced at just Rs 11,000. The Micromax In Note 1 has been designed keeping in mind the smartphone design that people are interested in buying these days or something most smartphone manufacturers are opting for.

The phone comes with a 6.67-inch display which would seem bigger than most of the smartphones which are no bigger than 6.5-inch. The hole punch design on the front gives the screen a much bigger and uninterrupted feel. The front punch hole is what will house the 16M selfie camera and the screen will provide a full HD+ resolution. The display comes with a 20:9 aspect ratio and is relatively tall. The phone also has some of the common and most used ports like 3.5mm Jack and also comes with a USB-C port. The rectangular quad-camera setup on the back is great for taking photos out in the open and also provides great images under low light.

However, when it comes to the Bokeh effect, Micromax might have to work a bit more on that side. Powered by the Mediatek Helio G85, the phone also has 4GB RAM and 64GB of onboard storage. The phone will also come with a 128GB storage variant at Rs 12,499. It is using a 5,000mAh battery with 18W charging support. Overall, the phones seem to be a perfect offering for those, who were looking for more performance without spending more money.

After iOS 14 was announced, one of the most interesting and controversial features was the upgrade in privacy where the users had full freedom to know what all details the apps and social networking sites were tracking. Now the Apple’s software chief Craig Federighi has confirmed that the company does support the feature as it represents the core value of what Apple stands for in terms of customer data privacy. He also mentioned that it is better for even the people that are currently, at times protesting those moves, as it raises trust in the apps and devices that are required by developers and advertisers to work.

One of the biggest disappointments and opposition came from Facebook a while back who confirmed that these new features will hamper the way their advertising model works. The new feature from Apple called App Tracking Transparency or ATT Apple allows users to opt-out of having their data collected and aggregated as they move between apps. This does not allow any app to track the activities on the phone using the unique identifier that every user phone has.

The direct impact comes on the advertiser as they will not be able to place relevant ads on the device, something companies like Facebook relied on for advertisements. Now the tracking feature caused significant controversy among advertisers and the companies who work with them, who argued that it could undermine their businesses. Apple will still be continuing this feature and roll it out next year, and make it even stronger with future updates.

When it comes to RCS messages, companies like Google have been trying this out for a long time. However, they were unable to do pushback by phone carriers. However, the company has finally announced that they will be making Rich Communication services available to all and RCS will be available to all through the Message app globally. The feature will be rolled out initially in the beta stage after which the app will be improved and further released in a stable version.

Now whoever has an Android smartphone will be able to experience chat features like high-res photo and video sharing, typing indicators and read receipts, location sharing, message reactions, the ability to chat over Wi-Fi or data, and much more. The beta test for the same has started with end-to-end encryption between one-on-one RCS conversations in the app. This will make sure that the content in the chat cannot be read by anyone else like Google or any other third party.

The feature will only work for users with Google Messages installed as their default messaging app and have RCS features enabled. One can currently simply update the messages app on the Play store. Once that is done, the chat features can be activated through the app settings. It is hoped that RCS becomes a more widely accepted and used standard in these other messaging apps. Also, since it is powered by Google, you can expect regular updates and better privacy and security measures for the chats.

An Email has been there for a long while now and there won’t be a single person now who has not used e-mail or does not know about it. E-mails have been one of the most efficient and best ways to communicate both professionally and personally, due to which almost all know tech companies like Microsoft, Apple, and others have an Email service. However, did you ever think that sending an e-mail could pollute your environment?

It might seem surprising and odd at the same point, but a team of researchers from OVO energy has found that sending unnecessary emails every day is pumping thousands of tonnes of carbon into the atmosphere. It is all because of the power that is consumed while sending and receiving the message in the mailbox. As per the experts, it contributes almost more than 23,000 tonnes of carbon a year to the UK alone. As per them, almost half the email that is being sent in the UK are of no relevance and if cut down, it could help to bring down the carbon levels in the atmosphere by 16,000 tonnes.

If real, these numbers are really big and could majorly improve the environment in the country. The study has been considered by British officials working on plans to tackle climate change. The e-mails that are sent creates the carbon footprint from a combination of the electricity used to power the devices on which it is written and read, the networks that transmit the data, and the data centers that store it. Researchers also believe that the importance and role of the IT sector are very crucial in decreasing the carbon emission in the environment.

Online gaming has seriously picked up some speed and with the introduction of Google Stadia, online gaming is getting a new platform, which every company wants to rush in and take a slice from. In the same events, GeForce has now launched a new beta version of its game streaming services, which will be available on iPhone and iPad using Apple’s Safari browser. This service is particularly interesting as it acts as a workaround for Apple’s policy which does not allow the game streaming service to have their own games and want to list each one of them individually.

Due to the same reason, the iPhone blocked the launch of the Microsoft cloud gaming service. Apple is insisting the games on iPhone and iPad be released through the App Store to make sure that the games are reviewed and rated, with obviously more cuts for Apple with each game launch. For now, the users will be able to apply a handful of games on their Safari browser through iPhone and iPad, while it is still in the beta stage. The games include Trials Rising, Runescape, Elite Dangerous, Poker Club, Bridge Constructor: The Walking Dead, and Bee Simulator.

This is one platform that even Epic Games is looking forward to for re-launching their game on Apple devices. Working together with GeForce, Epic games is trying to make a touch-friendly version of Fortnite. Currently, GeForce Now is free to use and the users will only be limited to a one-hour session length. However, paid tiers unlock extended sessions and RTX.

The long fight between AMD and Intel seems to be firing up as AMD is trying to make better and more powerful gaming chipsets and graphic cards for a while now. Recently, the AMD’s Radeon RX 6800 XT was released by the company, which has already broken a new world record in benchmarks, showing that AMD devices have great potential when it comes to being overlooked for performance. An Indonesian overclocker Lucky_n00b recently pushed the 6800 XT with a boost overclock to 2.65GHz on air using the stock fans on the graphic card and no extra cooling unit.

The graphic card was paired with AMD’s Ryzen 5950X  for 3DMark Fire Strike record on HWBOT was liquid nitrogen-cooled, which was ramped up to 5.4 GHz. The results seemed to be amazing and scored 47, 932 taking the top spot on HWBOT and dethroning Nvidia’s mighty RTX 3090. It also sneaked past 3090 which is over by 200 points. In the last few days, many reviewers have reviewed the performance of 6800 XT and have found it to cross the Nvidia rival by a big gap.

Although the overclocking tester did mention that 2.65GHz overclock was a boost setting applied from the Performance Tuning panel, not the real clock during load (GPU is power-limited). No matter the specs, the performance was given by the graphic card has expectedly set up a new benchmark for the graphic cards to be launched in the future. Also, 6800 XT is the fastest current Big Navi GPU until RX 6900 XT flagship graphic card is launched, which will definitely give a scare to Nvidia.
