Google has been providing a lot of different productive apps for users by default in the Android operating system. One of these apps is Google’s Recorder app, which is lite and does what it says. The Voice recording app was first introduced in Piel 4 and had the ability to transcribe text without any internet connection. It became one of the easiest ways to record an interview or conversation for people and get the copy as text to edit it and select the important parts.

Now Google has added new features and optimization in version 2 of the Google Recorder app. Although the update is already pre-installed in Pixel 5. The new feature will allow the users to cut out or crop the parts of the audio by selecting the transcribed text and cutting it out from the original one. It makes it very easy to remove any kind of unwanted audio from the entire recording. It will also let you create a waveform video to help you with the transcription.

You will also have the option to share it on social media and select between 1:1, vertical, or landscape aspect ratios. The app will also be able to recognize music, dog sounds, laughter, and applause and tag the same in the transcription. The best part is that the feature is completely offline and is a great way to record lectures, interviews, or just conversation. If you have not updated the app yet, then you can do it immediately to check out new features.

Recently Xiaomi announced Mi 10T for many markets, but the smartphone is not available in the Chinese market as of now. It is expected that the phone will soon be launched in the Chinese market as well, but with a different name and brand. A new model, Redmi K30S was spotted getting the 3C certification, with almost the same kind of specs as the Mi 10T. The information was leaked by a Weibo blogger, who claimed Redmi K30S has passed 3C certification with a model code M2007J3SC.

The model number is the same as what is present in the Mi 10T series, giving the information that this model will be a rebranded phone from the company in the Chinese market. It is expected that the phone will be launched next month in China and will have only a few changes while keeping the rest of the specs the same as the global model. There are not many details on what kind of changes one can expect in the Chinese version.

It has been seen that the Chinese version of the smartphone always has a higher spec list or has features that are very exclusive to the Chinese markets. If most of the specs remain the same, we can expect the phone to come with a Snapdragon 865 and a 108MP triple camera setup. The phone is expected to provide a 144Hz refresh rate and come with a 5,000mAh battery and 33W fast charging. We might see the Chinese model with 65W charging capability as well.

Micromax was one of the top phone manufacturers in India for a while, with a lot of dominance in the budget phone segment. However, with the coming of Android phones and various internal competitors providing the smartphones at the least prices, Micromax sort of diminished from the market and now you can only see a handful of phones from Micromax in the market. The company was known to provide some really good-looking and feature-rich phones in its time and it seems that the company is all set to make a comeback again.

The Micromax co-founder Rahul Sharma announced on Friday that the company is looking for a big comeback with a new and feature-rich phone in the Indian market. The company will be making a return in the market after almost two long years. In the short teaser video, the co-founder has mentioned details about his early years and how Micromax started and became the top smartphone brand in India. However, the intervention of affordable Chinese handset companies gave the mobile manufacturer a very tough competition.

The company has not yet confirmed whether the phone will be launched under the same brand name or with new branding, but it does seem that they are well prepared for re-entry in the market. The company claims that they will be coming with a new budget-friendly smartphone that will have premium features and modern looks. The current market and the options available with the customers will definitely provide Micromax a fair chance to play.

Xiaomi has rolled out a new update for its smartphone which brings a lot of new changes through the MIUI 12. The update was rolled out for Chinese devices a month back. However, the global rollout of the update was delayed and is not available to users all over the world. The new updates bring a lot of improvement to the stock gallery apps from Xiaomi. Gallery apps serve as a place where you can watch all your videos and photos and also edit them.

The new update has added a lot of new stickers, filters, and other features to the gallery app, making it much better and efficient than before. The new update also adds the text recognition feature for images and also allows the user to add watermarks. The update has been released for a few Redmi and Mi series smartphones. The updates that we can see in the Chinese version of the update include a lot of new features and it is impossible to say whether all the features will make it to the global update.

The updated version of the gallery that has all the features is 2.2.16.24. However, if you want to install the update, the previous version should also be Chinese. The update will also be able to almost all the global users through a firmware update. The new features make editing and customizing photos a lot easier. Especially for people who like to post almost all their photos on Facebook and Instagram after applying the filter.

The Samsung Galaxy S20 FE aka fan edition has been hugely popular ever since the smartphone was launched. It provides the same kind of specs and feels of a premium flagship at a much lower cost. However, the phone was only offered in a 128GB memory variant, which some users were not happy with. However, since it was a fan edition, it seems that Samsung has heard its fans again and has launched a 256GB variant of the smartphone.

However, the downside with this variant is that it would only be available in one color while the 128GB variants were available in 5 different colors to choose from.  The new 256GB variants of the smartphone have been priced in the Indian market at Rs 53,999 and will only be available in Cloud Navy color. The company has announced that the pre-order for the phone will start on October 17, via Samsung.com and other leading offline and online stores.

The smartphones will start shipping from October 28. If you are still looking to buy the 128GB version, it is available on the same platform for Rs49,999. With such less difference in the cost of both variants, it seems that getting a 256GB model would make much more sense. Also, you can get the 128GB model from the Samsung e-store and avail of up Rs 4000 a discount on the purchase. The one condition is that you need to have an HDFC bank card. With a discount, it will cost you Rs 45,999.

Huawei has been offering some of the best hardware-specific phones in the market and they have also been trying to bring the best in the budget segment through their sub-brand Honor. However, it seems that Honor is going through a very rough patch in sales, due to which Huawei has finally decided to sell this unit. We all know the kind of problems Huawei has been going through after Android closed its gates for it.

Due to this, the overall business had a huge impact on Huawei and this might be one of the reasons why they have decided to sell the Honor brand and its smartphone business. The information was leaked by Reuters which stated that Huawei is in talks with companies like Digital China Group, TCL, and Xiaomi to sell the business, which could turn out an amount of around $3.7 billion dollars. The sell-off will include Honor’s brand, its R&D division, and the accompanying supply chain management business.

It would not only help Huawei to hold up the associated cost but will also allow Honor to work again as they will not be affected by the US sanctions if it was sold to someone else. Once that happens, Huawei will completely focus on the premium flagship smartphones with exceptional hardware specs. It is expected that Digital China Group is in the lead to buy this business and only a few authorizations and confirmations are left for the deal. No matter the reason behind selling the Honor brand, but it does seem to be a better decision for the company.

OnePlus Co-founder Carl Pei leaves the company quietly.

OnePlus is one of the biggest smartphone companies in the world and a recent announcement from the company has shocked the OnePlus fans. The Co-Founder of OnePlus, Carl Pei has suddenly left the company and it is expected that the reason behind doing this was to start a new company that has not been named yet. When OnePlus started, it came out as a flagship killer, as it provided premium specs without the hefty price tag. However, with time, the company has created a new feature-packed smartphone with almost the same kind of pricing as regular flagships.

Carl Pei had a major role in how OnePlus started and how it reached the height and success it has now. However, his role was not in the picture from the last few years, until he was seen launching the OnePlus Nord smartphone. As per the sources, there were two teams in the OnePlus company, one wanted to make an affordable smartphone like Nord a reality, while the other team did not want a budget lineup as they were finally gaining traction with carriers. Also, OnePlus did not announce the parting of its Co-Founder which does not seem right at all, which suggests that parting might have not been the best option.

Also, many documents were leaked on Reddit, which belong to OnePlus and had the name of Pei missing from the management. The company has chosen to remain silent, which shows that there were a lot of issues internally. No matter what, the Nord lineup is now being handled by the head of India Operations and Carl Pei is looking to bring out a new venture for users.
