After removing Fortnite from both Google Play Store and App Store, Epic Developers have been in a constant battle of words over the dominance that Apple has over the market. The issue started when Epic Games added a direct payment option on both their iOS and Android platforms. Since Google Play Store and App Store charges a 30% commission on the in-app purchases, they only prefer using their own Apple and Google payment methods in the app.

Due to the payment options issue, both the platforms removed the app, making it only accessible from the Epic developers website. The issue was also openly supported by Facebook, where Facebook also agreed about the monopoly of Apple. Now another detail has been provided by Epic games that Apple has been threatening to terminate the Epic games developer account by August 28, which would lead to the company being cut off from iOS and macOS development tools.

The account termination notice was sent as per the antitrust feud between the two companies. However, Epic Games have mentioned that they have appealed to the court to stop this retaliation. As per Apple, the app from Epic game developers was found to be violating of many other terms under the Apple Developer Program membership, which if not corrected in 14 days, can lead to account termination.

The same information has also been given by Apple in the court filing. Cutting of Epic’s access to the Mac and iOS development tools will affect all the games and apps that use Spic’s Unreal engine. As per Epic games, the decision o termination should be put on hold or stopped unless the issue is resolved in the court.

It seems like ever since Apple has decided to move production and assembling from China to India, even other countries are looking for a better source for production. It is rumored that even Samsung might move a major part of the smartphone production from Vietnam and other countries to India, with a production estimate of over worth $40 billion. Samsung is likely to move the production units to India for manufacturing smartphones under the Production Linked Incentive scheme that the country is providing.

The decision can impact existing capabilities across various countries like Vietnam, which is already a production hub for Samsung. Vietnam is second to China when it comes to smartphone production and most of the smartphone companies are looking towards other countries which can serve as a good option for production plant setup. As per the sources, the PLI scheme could help Samsung to save a very big amount. Samsung currently makes almost half its production in Vietnam. With this move, the company will join the tech giant Apple, which is also in the process of shifting a major production line in India.

The decision of smartphone companies to shift in India is all due to the benefits scheme of PLI which the government is providing and it seems that even more companies are looking forward to this opportunity and are in talks with the government about the benefits they will receive. During the pandemic stage, the companies have understood that they need to have alternatives for their production plants, as situations like these can bring the production to halt, as what happened in China.

Google has recently rolled out a new update and feature which helps users to immediately reroute the RCS message to send via the messaging app. The problem with RCS messages is that when the message is unable to send, it takes a while before the message goes to the server and then fallbacks to the phone informing the user that the message sending failed. Once it does, the user will be able to send the message through the messaging app. however, the process in between takes a long time.

Now as per the new update, The user will not have to wait for the fallback procedure and can instantly send the RCS messages through the messages. The feature has been pointed out by Android Police, where sending the RCS message becomes much easier and will only take a second or two for the user. As soon as the user tries to send the RCS message through Google message, tapping will give users two options. The first option for the user will be to reroute the message to SMS and the second would be to cancel the sending process and delete the message altogether.

Now if the user selects the first option the message will be sent immediately. The feature has been live from the past few releases and was unnoticed by all the users. The feature is much more efficient and faster for users who had to face a lot of delays while sending RCS messages through Google messages.

It seems that the trouble TikTok in the US does not seem to end in any way. The president of the US, Donald Trump has ordered TikTok US operations to sell all their U.S assets within the next 90 days, due to national security concerns. The order was released on Friday based on the “credible evidence” which might lead “ByteDance” to take action that threatens to harm the national security of the country.

The order from President Trump was followed by an investigation of the acquisition of TikTok US by ByteDance in 2017 and later merged with TikTok. The US government made a statement saying that any platform like TikTok will be supported by them in every possible way as TikTok was the ultimate means of entertainment and connection for American people. However, if any of these apps turn out to be a threat to national security, it will be dealt with seriously.

The government has recently given an order to ban any kind of a transaction with ByteDance and Tencent in the period of 45 days. The orders given by the government shows that the future of US-China relationships is definitely not going to get better. After the revelation of the Chinese app sending the data of the countries resident to China, the US, and India, including other countries have started banning Chinese apps

The same has also affected trade relations with other countries as well. Now the order of selling the US assets in 90 days would definitely wipe out TikTok as an entertainment platform from the US.
