It seems that bad times for CyberPunk 2077 developers CD Projekt Red are not going to end for a time now. With a lot of backslash from the Xbox One X and Playstation 4 users for the bad performance of the game, the company also accepted their fault. After this, the developers have had to face a lot of criticism, and even issue refunds to the users. Now as per the latest report, they have started facing backlash for the game even in the office.

In an internal board meeting through video calls, the management opened up by apologizing for Cyberpunk 2077’s disastrous launch and after that, they had to face a lot of questions from the angry and frustrated staff. Developers asked blunt questions about the company’s reputation, the game’s unrealistic deadlines, and the relentless overtime in the months and years leading up to the game’s December 10 release. The meeting took place before Sony Corp.’s shocking announcement that it was pulling Cyberpunk 2077 from the PlayStation Store and offering a full refund to users who had the worst experience with the fame.

The developer company also mentioned on Twitter, “Following our discussion with PlayStation, a decision was made to temporarily suspend digital distribution.” CD Projekt’s share value has already declined by 12% and questions from members of the company are creating even the worst condition for the company. Now the board of directors is being blamed by the developers for the unrealistic deadlines on the game completion which leads to many things and elements being incomplete.

When it comes to Google Apps on smartphones with low-end hardware, Google tries to keep the light of the app so that it does not occupy a lot of resources from the phone while running smoothly as a normal app. However. Google has recently been trying to revamp their apps and add more features to even the lighter versions of the app. Now Google Camera app is known as one of the best photography apps in the Android ecosystem but the features for the app are limited to mid-range and high-range phones.

While Google has the Camera Go app for low-end phones, it keeps things too basic. In October, Google added the Night Mode to the Camera Go app, further improving the camera image capabilities on budget mobiles. Now, the company has added yet another feature to the app, which is the HDR (High Dynamic Range) mode. With HDR capabilities on the Android Go Camera app, the budget segment smartphones will be able to take much better photos with better details and a wider exposure range.

With this change, the Camera Go app will be able to take near-accurate colors of the subject be it in the dark and bright sunlight. Google is currently working on more features that could be added to the Camera Go app, and soon the company will be announcing those as well. For now, we can expect the Android Go phones to have much better and feature-rich apps in the future, which will still be focused on using fewer resources on low-end hardware phones.

We all remember the time the iPhone 12 series was launched by Apple and customers had mixed reactions about the exclusion of the charger and headphones. At that time, many companies came on social media to mock the tech giant for removing the most important accessory on the phone and the one that made the most noise about it was Samsung. However, after the launch of the iPhone 12 series, news started coming in that even Samsung might follow the same trend and remove the chargers from their next premium flagship phones.

These might still be rumors but Samsung has recently deleted the post in which they recently mocked Apple by showing that its smartphones come with a Galaxy charger, unlike iPhones. It is one of the biggest proof that the company might be following in the same footsteps as well. Apple has already announced that they will be following the same trend in the future as well and will not include the charger and accessories to reduce the use of plastic.

The post that Samsung deleted had this mentioned on it, “Our Galaxy phone can provide you with everything you need from the basic charger to the best camera, battery performance, and memory.” Ever since the deletion of this post, it is almost confirmed that we will be seeing the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S21 series without a charger in the box. We will have to wait on how Samsung fans react to this, but there is also a possibility that other companies might follow in the same footsteps in the future.

Recently news came in that developer’s CD Projekt RED of CyberPunk 2077 are providing the users with a refund for the game, especially those users, who have purchased the game for Playstation 4 and Xbox One X. Since both the last generation consoles were facing a lot of performance issues in the game and also led to the downfall of the shares for the company, it was decided that the gamers will be given a refund for the same. Due to the very same reason, Sony removed the game from their Playstation Store as well.

Now Microsoft has added a warning to the listing of CyberPunk 2077, a station about the performance issues on Xbox One X. The warning reads, “Users may experience performance issues when playing this game on ‘Xbox One’ consoles until this game is updated.” The tech giant is also offering a full refund to the digital sales of the game, however, the game is still listed on the Microsoft Store, unlike Sony. Ever since the game has been released on the last generation consoles, a lot of complaints and issues have been reported about the performance and lag.

They accepted that the game was designed for next-generation consoles and is not apt to run on the previous generation consoles for now. The developers have also released a game patch called Hotfix 1.05, aimed at fixing a few major issues layers are experiencing. The fix was released to address various bugs and glitches, including game crashes, character errors, and overall performance.

Facebook prints two-page news to tell people how iOS 14 privacy feature would lead to a huge loss

We all know about the privacy features that Apple plans to bring in the iOS 14 and the future updates. However, not many companies are currently supporting it because they think that it will impact the advertising companies by a big margin. One of the popular social networking companies Facebook has always been vocal in showing their disappointment in the company policies and has taken out two full-page advertisements in US newspapers such as Washington Post, The New York Times, and Wall Street Journal saying the policy will harm ‘small businesses’ everywhere.

Facebook has already blamed Apple in the past as well, calling them stranglehold as a gatekeeper on what gets on phones, and “stifling innovation”. As per them, the new features will make the advertisers unable to work as they will not be getting adequate data as per the usage of the smartphone and show the users relevant ads. The new iOS update gives full control on tracking to the users and they can easily decide when to stop tracking. Apple’s new “AppTrackingTransparency” framework means a user has to grant explicit permission before an app can track them or access their “device’s advertising identifier.”

Since each device has a separate identifier, it is easy to locate the unique smartphone and target ads as per the device. With the new policy, advertisers will not be able to track and send relevant ads, which will cause a big issue as well. With the new features, Facebook might see a loss of over 60% in revenue which seems to be a very big number. As a response to that, Tim Cook said, “We believe users should have the choice over the data that is being collected about them and how it’s used. Facebook can continue to track users across apps and websites as before, App Tracking Transparency in iOS 14 will just require that they ask for your permission first..””

The all-new Exynos 2100 chipset from Samsung is going to be the new premium flagship chipset from the company, which has been in news for the last few months. Now the company is expected to launch the Exynos 2100 on January 12, through an online event and will be using the same for the upcoming Galaxy S21 series. The announcement for the event and the launch was made through a tweet with the hashtag “#Exynos_is_back” and “A whole new Exynos is coming“. The new series of the chipset is based on the 5nm architecture and is expected to power the Galaxy S21 series in Asia, European regions, and other regions.

Some smartphones will also be powered using the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 in other markets like the US. Regions like the US, China, and South Korea would normally be expected to get Qualcomm’s top chipset, which in this case means Snapdragon 888. The processor is expected to feature an octa-core CPU with ultra-high-performance core clocking at 2.9GHz, flanked by three more high-end cores at 2.8GHz (ARM’s Cortex-A78) and four smaller cores running at 2.4GHz.

Since it supports the 5G band, it has a 5G modem as standard. GPU comes from ARM’s Mali-G78 GPU. Also, it is expected that the new processor would also support 8K videos on the smartphone. However, the company has not revealed any details about the chipset and is expected to reveal all in the January 12 event which will be online. It would be interesting to see how the chipset ranks in comparison to Apple A14 and SD 888 chipset.

Apple iPhone 13 series might have WiFi 6E support

It has just been over a month since Apple launched its iPhone 12 series in the market and the news for iPhone 13 is already coming out. As per the analyst, the iPhone 13 series will have a significant upgrade to WiFi. The reports about it from Barclays analysts Thomas O’Malley, Blayne Curtis, Tim Long, and their associates were first detailed today by MacRumors. As per them, Apple is going to go for a “game-changing” upgrade when it comes to WiFi support on the iPhones

The reports state that Apple is going to add WiFi 6E in the new iPhone 13 lineup and it is something that has been confirmed by multiple Apple suppliers. WiFi 6 and 6E are two different types of WiFi, where WiFi 6 is supported by the iPhone 12 series and even the older iPhone SE and iPhone 11, support only 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands. The new WiFi 6E enabled devices will also support the new 6GHz band along with the 2.4 and 5GHz band.

The 6GH band is expected to provide much faster speeds of data, which can be up to 9.6Gbps, and wider channels for faster connectivity. Barclays has also reported Cirrus Logic will supply a new power conversion chip for at least some iPhone 13 models and indicated that Apple has no plans to refresh the iPhone SE in the foreseeable future. It is expected that the company could launch a new iPhone SE with a bigger and better display, however, it has not been confirmed yet.

Microsoft is trying to develop its own ARM-based chips for Surface PCs

Making one’s own chipset is one area where most of the companies are currently working on. With companies such as Samsung, Qualcomm, and Mediatek in the market, Apple also released their own M1 chipset which will be powering their Mac systems in the future and will be providing far better performance as well. Now, it has been reported that even Microsoft is designing their own ARM-based chipset for Surface PCs. Making their own chipset not only helps the company to have a better hardware spec but also provide better performance through their device.

With more and more companies moving from Intel to their own chipset would leave a huge gap for Intel in the market. Especially, when Microsoft is one of their leading clients and most of the systems they develop work on the Intel chipset. As per the reports Microsoft is currently working to develop a server chip first, after which they will be exploring the possibility of creating the chipset for surface devices.

Intel has a monopoly in the market when it comes to server chips, by Apple now moving towards M1 chipset and even Microsoft looking to create their own, it seems like Intel will be having hard days in the future. Microsoft has also worked with AMD and Qualcomm in the past for customer chips which were included in the Surface devices. It seems that Microsoft wants to move its reliance on the Intel chipset for their devices and explore further opportunities in the market.
