Intel introduces the all-new Intel Iris Xe Max Discrete GPU for slim laptops for up to 7 times the GPU performance.

Intel has recently launched the all-new range of Xe graphics architecture for slim laptops which will be used with their 11th generation Tiger Lake CPU’s. The company has announced that since laptops built with the new Tiger Lake processors are currently being sold in the market, some of them will also be shipped with the new discrete GPU Intel Iris Xe Max. The new Intel Iris Xe Max can be used to increase the graphic performance of slim laptops and accelerate the AI-based and computer-intensive tasks.

The name of the new GPU was first leaked when Intel included the product badge in a presentation of its brand identify overhaul in September. Now the same has also appeared in the listing of many laptop manufacturers, one of them being ACER. The new GPU is based on the same Xe-LP GPU, which has been integrated into the 11th gen tiger Lake processors. The new GPU has been targeted at thin and light laptops which works in conjunction with the integrated GPU and is enabled through a framework called the Deep Link.

The Deep-link framework will also dynamically manage power and thermal headroom between the CPU and GPU, which would result in a 20% improvement in CPU performance. As per the details from intel, the new GPU architecture is supposed to be 7 times faster and better in AI-based content creation. It features up to 96 execution units and reaches a maximum clock speed of 1.65GHz. It is based on Intel’s 10nm SuperFin transistor technology and can leverage PCIe 4.0 speed to connect to the CPU, and has 4GB of LPDDR4X memory with a bandwidth of 68GBps.

Motorola launches Moto G 5G Plus in the month of July this year, which seemed to be a promising handset from the brand with great features and design. Now another device with the codename “Kiev” has popped up which seems to be getting launched in the market as Moto G 5G. The phones seem to be based on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G chipset and come with 5G support for the users. The chipset is the same one that is currently being used on the Xiaomi Mi 10T Lite and does provide a very powerful performance. 

The chipset is also great for smartphones which want to offer 5G features and yet maintain affordability. Other leaked details of the phone include a 6.66-inch screen with an AMOLED display and a 5,000 mAh battery. The phone will be paired with 128GB of storage and 6GB of RAM. The rear would include a triple camera setup which will have the Samsung GM1 48MP Quad-Bayer snapper, a Samsung S5K4H7 8MP telephoto, and an OmniVision OV02B10 2MP macro camera. For selfies, the phone will have a 16 MP shooter. 

The phone will also feature a dedicated Google Assistant feature which is currently not available on many smartphones. The phone will also be offering the feature of NFC. Currently, there is no official announcement or details about the launch date or the price of the phone. However, we can expect the phone to be launched in a couple of months and hope the model performs as good as similar smartphones in this category.

  1. Go to Drive.Google.com and login with your Google account.
  2. Now simply click on New on the top left and select New File upload.
  3. Select the PDF file from the windows and wait for it to complete.
  4. Once the file uploads, right-click on the PDF file and select Open With >> Google Docs.

Once you do that, Google Docs will automatically process the complete document and will convert the entire text on the PDF file into a Word document. It will also try to take most of the formatting from the PDF file. However, one can see the loss of formatting, which would completely depend on the PDF file.

Now select the File menu on the top left, and move your cursor to the “Download As” option. Select Microsoft Word and you are done. Name the file and use it as a Word file.

Instagram users will now be able to live stream for 4 hours.

Instagram Live is one of the most popular features of the platform and is used by more users than any other competitive app. Earlier, the live stream on Instagram only allowed the users to stream for an hour before it automatically ended. Now, with the new update, the users will be able to stream live on Instagram four times longer than before. The new limit allows the users to stream live for four hours at one stretch. 

Apart from extending the time limit, the company is also making sure that the streams become a lot more discoverable and they are made available to watch for a longer period of time. The update will soon be rolling out for all the Instagram users across the globe. Earlier, the users had to end the live stream after one hour and had to start another live stream in order to stream for a longer period of time. Now the streaming could go on continuously for four hours. 

With the addition of this feature, Instagram has become in line with Facebook in terms of streaming time. Facebook also allows the live streamers to stream for 4 hours at one go and the time can go up to 8 hours in case the streaming is being done from a desktop. The feature is not the best in the category as Twitch beats them with 24+ hours of live streaming for the users. However, the addition will be great for users who are regularly live streaming.

Realme previously introduced the C15 smartphone in July which ran on Mediatek Helio G35 processor and had a 6,000 mAh battery. Now the company is releasing another handset with the same name C15. However, this time the smartphone will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 460 instead of Mediatek Processors. The phone is completely identical to the C15 with Mediatek processor in terms of specs, with the only difference between them being the use of Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. 

The phone will still have a 6.5-inch HD+ IPS LCD screen, and a big 6,000mAh battery. The phone will also have a quad-camera setup and will offer two different variants of 3/4GB and storage options of 32/64GB. As per the leaked details, the phone will be selling for Rs 9,999 for the 3/32GB variant and Rs 10,999 for the 4/64GB variant. However, for just the initial phase, the company will be offering a discount of Rs500 on both the models. The phone will be available to buy from all the leading e-commerce channels and also the official website of Realme. 

It is expected that the performance of the Qualcomm version will be a little higher in terms of processor, however, the battery performance could be on a higher side with the optimization of the Mediatek processors. The company has tried to keep both the phones as identical as possible and is expected to become one of the most powerful smartphones in its range. Now can be a very good time for users to buy this phone with the initial discounts.

Android Smart TV gets a new Android Data Saver app in the Google Play Store

Android TV or Smart TVs has been the latest trend and most sold device in the market after smartphones. Apple to increase the production for iPhone 12 series by 2 million units.

Apple launched its iPhone 12 series this month, after which the sales figure for the company seems to be going sky high. As per the latest reports, the company is increasing the production of the iPhone 12 series by 2 million units due to increased demand in the global market. The rise in the demand seems to be due to the addition of 5G in the smartphones and the OLED screen with a new flat frame design, which is very reminiscence to the iPhone 5 models. 

The demand for Apple iPhone 12 series has reached 85 million units and the shipment is expected to reach almost 240 million units by 2021. If the numbers come out to be true, then this could be one of the most sold iPhone series yet for the company. The previous record was for iPhone 6, where the company sold over 222 million units, due to a big change in the design and features. Another estimate also says that 60-70% of overall sales will comprise iPhone 12 and 12 Pro. 

Meanwhile, the 12 Pro Max and 12 mini will only comprise 20% of the total sales. It is much more than what Apple had expected for the iPhone 12 series, however, since they have also launched their exclusive online stores in other parts of the world, such as the Indian market recently, the sales number has further increased by a big margin. It would not be wrong to say that the iPhone 12 is one of the best smartphones the company has made yet.

Apple might fasten up their search engine development due to antitrust action on Google.

A few months back details were leaked about a new search engine platform that Apple might be working on. The details that came in suggested that Apple had been working on a search engine platform to rival the Google search engine which has been the number search engine for years now. Now it seems that the antitrust action against Google might fasten up Apple’s plan to launch its search engine. Currently, the company uses SIRI, which is heavily dependent on Google and Yelp’s search to provide the results. 

However, with the introduction of iOS 14, Siri is “suggesting” websites directly in federated search results initiated from the Apple search bar. These can be accessed by swiping right from the home screen to start a search and get results from SIRI suggested websites. More details about the same suggest that Apple is currently very active in the development of search engines. The company hired Google SVP of Engineering John Giannandrea to run the company’s machine learning and AI group in 2018, after which he was also given the charge of SIRI. The company has also posted a lot of job postings for search engineers and has increased crawling frequency by Applebot. 

It is nowhere close to what Google has, but Apple is slowly increasing its part in the game. One of the issues in the antitrust case was, “In exchange for this privileged access to Apple’s massive consumer base, Google pays Apple billions of dollars in advertising revenue each year, with public estimates ranging around $8–12 billion. The revenues Google shares with Apple make up approximately 15–20 percent of Apple’s worldwide net income.” If the antitrust case disrupts the relations of Apple with Google, then it could be easily seen bringing their own search engine to Apple devices.

Microsoft is bringing in a big update for Windows 10

Microsoft is making a lot of changes in Windows 10 through its update and most of them have been visual tweaks, something that Microsoft never focused on before. Now the company is looking to revamp the look of Start Menu, Action Center, and legacy File Explorer. The details can be seen within the Windows 10 preview builds and internal documentation. The company is trying to entirely change the way the Windows operating system looks. There has been a shift in the focus of the company from the last couple of years where the updates are more focused on the design. 

The trend started with Windows 8 where the company introduced the “Metro design” and was added to the apps that were launched during that time as well. Now as per the leaked details, the new design theme of the Windows 10 operating system will be “Fluent Design“”. It would not be a complete overhaul but there are going to make a lot of minor changes to the operating system. You will easily notice context menus, hamburger menu, app bar, taskbar, and other UI areas. 

They will also be tuning up a lot of interface inconsistencies which already exist in the core operating system. There will also be changed in the animation and graphics which you will be able to notice in transitions. The expected date of the changes is going to be holidays 2021 and is still under developments. One thing is for sure that these changes are going to add a lot of new experience for the user in looks and performance as well.

Sony to add new features to the Sony Playstation app.

Sony Playstation 5 is about to launch and the company is regularly adding a lot of new features to the Sony Playstation app, which can be used with PS5 for more features. The Playstation five will be launched on November 12 and in the meanwhile, the Sony PlayStation app is also adding a big update to both iOS and Android versions. The new update will completely revamp the UI of the app, along with the support for voice chats and native PlayStation Store integration. 

The newly redesigned app includes a refreshed home screen that allows the user to see who is online and playing.  They can also access the PS message app which is integrated into the original PS5 app. Users can also create a party group for friends from the PS chat and contact up to 15 people. The app has also been optimized to make it smoother and faster. Users will not be able to download the game, launch, and store it quickly.  

A few days back, Google also added a remote gaming feature in its app through which the users can play the games on their smartphone. The news confirms that the changes will soon be showing on the app. Sony has already been working on a lot of new features for the Sony PlayStation app, which will be added in the future to the app. The changes that have been added to the app have been made to easily go with the new PlayStation 5 and the associated games.
