Amazfit has been offering good-looking smartwatches for a long time now and has definitely impressed the users with what they have made over the last few years. However, when it comes to the new Amazfit Neo, it is a very different offering to what they have provided before. The new Amazfit Neo is nimble and sits very comfortably between a smartwatch and a smart band. The smartphone does not offer a high-tech display or feature but has a great retro look to it which will definitely appeal to a large number of audiences. The watch looks very similar to what you might have used when you were a kid. The same retro look and feel with the looks of a digital watch. The always-on display looks good and has great outdoor visibility even in strong sunlight. The watch might look retro but it has the latest tech like PPG bio-tracking optical sensor for heart-rate monitoring round the clock. 

In addition to sleep monitoring and measuring including Rapid Eye Movement (REM), it will also track your short naps and Personal Activity Intelligence (PAI) at this price range. The watch does lag on different sports modes but does offer tracking on walks, running, and cycling. The impressive part is the 28 days battery on a single charge. Xiaomi to launch Redmi Note 10 soon with Snapdragon 750G.

The most popular series of smartphones for Xiaomi undoubtedly has been the Redmi Note series. The series has been going for years now and each series has something new and even better performance. It has been a few months since the company launched the Redmi 9 series, which received a great response from the users. Now the company is all set to release their next series of Redmi smartphones, called the Redmi Note 10. 

The information was leaked by a known Weibo blogger saying that the Redmi will launch a new smartphone under the Redmi 10 series and it will have the Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G chipset in the domestic market. The information previously available about the phone was that it will be launched in three different variants. One will be the 4G version, along with a standard 5G model and a 5G pro version. The series will be very similar to the Redmi 10X series which already has the Redmi 10X 4G, the Redmi 10X 5G, and the Redmi 10X Pro 5G.

Just like these models, the Redmi Note 10 series is expected to launch two 5G models with Snapdragon 750G chipset or with MediaTek Dimensity 820 processors, which also support the 5G band. It can be the case the standard 5G version can run on the Snapdragon 750G and the Pro 5G version can run on Mediatek Chipset. The leaks for the phone are very interesting and it would be interesting to see the kind of combination Xiaomi comes up with during the launch of the new Redmi 10 series.

Xiaomi has yet announced another powerful smartphone offering in the tow called the Mi 10T Pro. The Mi 10T Pro is one of the latest flagships from the company where the two most outstanding specs of the phone are its battery and the screen. The phone has a 6.67-inch 1080p 20:9 LCD with a refresh rate of 144Hz. The refresh is something that the users can normally find on a gaming monitor and Xioami has tried to bring the same experience to their smartphone as well. It is one of the few major smartphones to bring this technology on a mobile device. 

Other features of the phone include an LCD screen in the front due to which the fingerprint sensor could not be integrated into the screen. The fingerprint sensor lies in the Power button, but that wouldn’t break the deal as the fingerprint scanner in the power button still has a faster response time. The home also comes with a 5,000mAh battery, which seems to be the new standard for smartphones. The battery is accompanied by a 33W fast charger out of the box, which would make things much easier while charging the phone.

Powered by the Snapdragon 865, the phone supports 5G band and has 8GB of RAM, which is accompanied by 128 or 256GB of onboard storage for the users. The phone has a 108MP primary sensor on the rear and is a quad camera setup. When compared to Mi 10 Pro, the phone only misses out on the sleeker design, otherwise, the phone is great at all features. The company has not yet announced when and which market it will be available in and what the pricing will be. Once that happens we will have a clearer picture of when the phone will be available to all.

Lenovo launches the new ThinkBook 14s Yoga convertible laptop with Tiger Lake processors.

Ever since Intel has introduced the all-new Tiger Lake processors customers are eagerly waiting to get their hands on devices with the latest chipset. In the series of such new products, Lenovo has launched ThinkBook 14s, Yoga convertible laptops, which will be powered by the all-new Tiger Lake processors. The new Yoga laptops series from Lenovo will come with a lot of improvements over the previous generation Yoga device series. This time Lenovo will equip the new Yoga laptops with i7 Tiger lake models which have the all-new Xe-LP GPUs. 

The new processors can allow the users to add up to 40 GB of DDR4-3200 RAM and the storage solution includes an onboard 1 TB PCIe NVMe SSD plus an open slot for another 1 TB PCIe NVMe module. The laptop comes with a much better physical design and a new anodized aluminum top and bottom dual-tone covers, with two color options which are the Mineral Gray and Abyss Blue. The screen now features a Corning Gorilla Glass protective layer with a 360-degree WVA panel with FHD resolution, 300 nit peak luminance, and 100% sRGB color gamut supporting Dolby Vision. 

When it comes to using the touch screen feature, the laptop also comes with a Smartpen. The laptop will come with a Thunderbolt 4 port, USB-C 3.1 Gen 2 and 2x USB-A 3.1 connectors, HDMI 1.4b video out, a combo audio jack, and a microSD card reader. The laptop also has a speaker from Harman, a fingerprint sensor integrated with a power button, Bluetooth, Wifi, and a large 60W battery. The laptop will be available for sale from November this year.

OnePlus teases a new “OnePlus World” event.

The OnePlus 8T launch is about to come in a couple of weeks and the company is already set to have some surprises for its fans. The company has recently teased details about “OnePlus World“, which is all set to reveal the details on October 1. OnePlus World could be the surprise that was hinted by the official from OnePlus through Weibo. From the initial expression, the teaser looks like a virtual space for all the OnePlus users and fans, where they can share their experiences about the products and social connections with others. 

The launch for this virtual space comes just two weeks before the official launch of the OnePlus 8T, which could bring announcements regarding features which can be a part of the OnePlus 8T as well. The OnePlus world could be anything at the moment. Unless the company is planning to launch something unique and completely new, it is expected to be a community hub or product showcase. It could also be a hint towards increasing the VR experience through OnePlus devices, something which the company has already been working for a long time now, but the work is still in development. 

Therefore, the launch of this teaser before another smartphone launch event is not a coincidence and would definitely be somehow related to the launch. It could also be an event that showcases new technology and features that the company is working on and later could become the part of the OnePlus 8T smartphones at launch. One thing is for sure that the company is certainly going to show off some new hardware in it.

Mi launches its new smart speaker along with many other products.

In an event yesterday, Mi launched a variety of services and products for the Indian consumers. The major highlight among the launches was the Mi band 5, Mi Watch Revolve, Mi Automatic Soap dispenser, Mi Smart Build, and the new Mi Smart Speaker. Among all the products, the key launch for Mi in the Indian market was the Mi Smart Speaker as this is the first smart speaker from the company in the Indian market. The smart speaker does everything a speaker can and also come with Google Voice Assistant for voice commands. 

Although there are a lot of different Google Assistant speakers on offer in the Indian market, Mi claims that the speaker has been designed to keep the Indian market in mind. The Mi Smart speaker comes with a 12W speaker and a 64.5mm sound driver. The range of music that the speaker can produce is very vivid and can produce great sound at high and low frequencies. The speaker also has a multi-band dynamic response control algorithm to deliver better sound quality. The user can simply use the “Ok Google” command to use the Google Assistant and will also support the Hindi language. 

The speaker has been designed in an oblong shape and features a metal mesh design with a matte finish. It also comes with a ring on the top, something that is very similar to the Amazon Alexa speakers. The speaker also has a touch-sensitive button at the top to control the music and mute the mic. The speaker has Wifi and Bluetooth connectivity and you can also pair two Mi Speakers with your TV for a better stereo sound. The speaker also comes with a built-in Chromecast for streaming content directly.

Google Meet calls to bring back unlimited Video calls until March 31, 2021.

A few days back Google made an announcement that all the free users on Google Meet will not be able to make unlimited free video calls unless they are paid business users. With this, the cap of free video calling features on Google Meet was reduced to 60 minutes for free users, which had to be applicable from September 30. However, in a turn of events, the company has now changed the policy again. It seems that free users will not have any kind of restriction until March 31, 2021. 

However, after that, the same restriction will apply and they will have to go for a business account. It seems that the decision has been taken as a holiday gift for Google Meet users and now they can continue making video calls for more than an hour. In addition to this announcement, the company has also extended the noise cancellation feature to the iOS and Android users, which was only available to the PC users before. The feature will now be available on mobile for G Suite Enterprise and G Suite Enterprise for Education customers. 

The noise cancellation feature is truly impressive and is based on machine learning which tries to identify the noises in the background of the call and tries to remove it in realtime in a call. A noise like a dog barking, wind, construction work outside your home will automatically be removed from the call using this feature. It seems that using Google Meet has now become much more exciting for everyone.

Google to allow third-party app stores in Android 12.

Ever since the issue of App stores has come into the limelight, users have come to think about whether App Store and Google Play store are using their authority over the market to play as per their rules. It is not something that only the users feel, but many of the popular social media and app companies have also agreed to the fact that Google and Apple have a monopoly over the app stores and how the app is being modified to their will to be on the platform. Many people think that there should be options for users to download the app through multiple app stores. 

However, the current scenario does not allow users to have any other app store on Apple and Android devices. However, the latest development from Google does show a different side of the coin. The company has assured everyone that the Android 12 version will have the capability to use any third-party app store, something that will be available next year. The changes are still under development and it is not clear as to when they will be available to the user. Google states that it will be allowing third-party app stores, without compromising on Android security for users. 

Also, Google will continue to charge a 30% commission and fees on the apps on Google Play Platform and in-app purchases. he new features could be a great addition for app developers who do not want to pay the commission fee for any in-app purchases and want to use their own billing system.

Apple faces a severe outage on Tuesday evening, closing down many of its services.

While everyone witnessed a big outage in the US for Microsoft Office 236, Tuesday was not a good day for Apple. Many Apple services were hit by an outage on Tuesday evening which affected a lot of Apple services like App Store, Apple Music, Apple TV Plus, and Apple Arcade. Although the company only mentioned the issue as a problem for some users, it later accepted that the issue was for all the users. 

The number of services that were affected by the outage was Find My, Game Center, iCloud Account & Sign In, iCloud Backup, iCloud Calendar, iCloud Contacts, iCloud Mail, iCloud Web Apps (iCloud.com), iWork for iCloud, Photos, Apple Arcade, Apple Music, Apple Music radio, Apple TV Plus, Radio, App Store, and Apple Books. Although another update was released from Apple on the same day at 11:24 PM ET that the issue has now been resolved and users will be able to use all the services as before. 

Earlier people had to go through a big outage from Microsoft Office 365 a day before, which halted major business in the US for an entire day as almost all the companies were unable to use the necessary business tools from Microsoft, neither were they able to login to the account and restore the files. The outage from Apple also affected a lot of users as they were unable to use any kind of feature on their devices which were connected through iCloud and using online connection with Apple servers.
