You might have heard the news in the past where kids have spent several hundred dollars on their parent’s devices to buy the additional components in games. Similar incidents have also been reported by people across the world where the kids have spent a large sum of money on games on other apps, while the parents came to know about it at a later point in time. A similar incident also happened in the US were an Apple user named Jessica Johnson of Wilton, CT ended up paying over $16,000 or ₹11 lakh unknowingly to Apple.

However, the user was shocked as she was not the one who made the payment. In fact, the payment was done by their six-year-old George. As per the reports and details from the New York Post, the six-year-old purchased the app features in the iPad version of Sega’s Sonic Forces. After Jessica Johnson discovered a series of withdrawals made by credit card over months, which total to around $16, 293.10, she was amazed as she was not the one doing it. The withdrawals started from the month of July and her kid used it to buy the add ons. The withdrawal range was from %1.99 to $99.99 for the bundles and add-ons.

As per Jessica Johnson, she thought of these transactions as fraud and after filing a claim with Chase, she was informed that this purchase was genuine and was asked to contact Apple for the same. Although Apple has refused to refund the claim as the payment was  requested has been made 60 days after the payment, the mother has accused the game of being “completely predatory.” Apple has been offering various Parental Control options to manage their device, which also includes limiting purchases and access to the app. So if you really do not want the same thing to repeat with you, then it would be wise to use them on your Apple devices immediately.

Apple TV is one of the best streaming services you can go for and Apple has been trying to add and create some of the best series and content that is only exclusive to Apple TV. As per the reports earlier, Apple TV+ was trying to create a new series based on Gawker Media which was in the early stages of development. However, the latest details provided by The New York Times, Apple TV+ has already scraped the show after the intervention of Apple CEO Tim Cook.

The series was to be named the Scrapper and was based on two former Gawker staffers, Max Read and Cord Jefferson. Apple also hired two more former Gawker editors Emma Carmichael and Leah Beckmann as writers and had completed several episodes of the series. Gawker Media and Apple had faced off several times in the past and this might be one of the reasons why Tim Cook scrapped off the project. In 2010, the Gawker property Gizmodo leaked images of the iPhone 4 after finding it in a bar.

In 2008, Gawker outed Tim Cook as gay. As per the reports, Tim Cook found out that there was an early development about a series for Gawker, he immediately told them to end the project. Tim Cook would not prefer to make a series on Gawker, which has been trying to humiliate the company at various times. Similar to this, Tim Cook has also intertwined with the Apple TV series Vital Signs and scrapped it over the concerns of violence and sexual content.

Apple has been directing itself on a self-reliant platform with the launch of the Apple M1 chipset, which would not only decrease their dependency on other chip manufacturers but would also help them in decreasing the manufacturing cost of the devices. Now the company aims to replace components from Qualcomm and has started building its own cellular modem for future devices. As per senior Vice President of Hardware Technologies Johny Srouji to Bloomberg, “This year, we kicked off the development of our first internal cellular modem which will enable another key strategic transition.

Long-term strategic investments like these are a critical part of enabling our products and making sure we have a rich pipeline of innovative technologies for our future.” Apple acquired the Intel Corps modem business in 2019 which allowed them to build a team of hardware and software engineers, which could help them develop their own modem. The modem can be used in the future iPhones for faster call and internet connection via networks. The new modem would be among the few wireless chips that Apple has started working on.

Currently, Apple uses those parts from Qualcomm for iPhone 12 series with 5G. With Qualcomm charging a license fee based on wireless patents it owns, Apple in 2019 signed a patent agreement with Qualcomm that includes a six-year licensing pact. Therefore, we can definitely see Apple bringing in their own modem chip in the future iPhone series after the patent agreement ends. For now, the company has been working on developing a new kind of modem chipset.

Realme has been able to set up a very competitive image in the Indian market when it comes to smartphones with great hardware specs and affordable price. However, the company is now working on introducing a new series of wearables to the Indian market as well. The company is currently working on the Realme Wath S and S Pro, which can be announced by the company either in the month-end or early next year. However, there was no Indian launch for the same and now the company has started showing the teaser for the Indian consumers. The company shared a post on Twitter by Realme India CEO, Madhav Sheth, that showed circular dials on the different size of watches. The one with the bigger dial in the post is Realme Watch S Pro, which the other one Realme Watch S. Madhav Seth has tweeted another post with the #MeetTheProTrendsetters hashtag, which shows 10 different watch straps and different watch faces.

This hints that the smartwatch will come with a variety of options when it comes to customization. The RealMe Watch S Pro seems to be the first device that will be launched along with a 1.3-inch AMOLED display and auto-brightness sensor. It also comes with in-built GPS which might not be a part of the S variant. It will possibly be running on the WearOS and can be offered at very aggressive pricing.

CyberPunk 2077 suffers through bad gameplay, graphics, and interface on Playstation 4 and Xbox One

When it comes to games, CyberPunk 2077 was one of the most anticipated and hyped games for the year 2020 and that did lead to a large number of sales and orders, even before the game was released. After the game was released, the gaming magazine Jeuxvideo.com turned out to be the first one that provided the complete game review. The team played the game on the last generation Playstation 4 and Xbox One. However, the experience of the game did turn out to be bad when playing on these machines. The gaming review scored the game a mere 3.5/10, while other gamers rated it at an average of 3.1/10.

It was not the game that led to the disastrous rating. The game is very much enjoyable on PS5 and Xbox Series X and S. However, when you play the game on Playstation 4 and Xbox One, you will have to face a lot of glitches and shortcomings. The gaming remains relatively playable in only a few scenes, with minor glitches here and there. Also, the open-world map is unplayable and difficult to explore. The older generation console suffers from blurry and low-resolution gameplay with a lot of issues related to interface lag, bugs, and freezes.

YouTube video

A lot of videos have been posted by both the critics and gamers showing choppy and laggy gameplay with below-average graphics. Gamers on the previous generation consoles are asking for a refund and have also commented that the version of these consoles should have been canceled. However, it has not stopped the game from reaching 5 million marks on the very first day. We hope that the developers do take these things into notice and try to update the game with patches that can enhance the user experience.
