Google Pay is one of the most popular payment apps in India and has been known to provide a secure payment platform. However, a few hours ago, the payment app was completely removed from the Apple App Store, raising a lot of questions in the mind of the users. Earlier known as Google Tez, was unlisted from the App Store and still remains unavailable. Due to the recent event with the App Store, where they have been removing a lot of different apps, as they were unable to follow the App Store policies, users thought of something similar might have happened with the app as well.

However, Google clarified the app has been removed to fix some of the technical issues. Due to this, the customers who already have the app on their phones, might not be able to use it for making payments and receive a temporary payment failure message. The issue seems to be coming at the wrong time for Google Tez, as the Indian consumer has been spending a lot right now on the biggest e-commerce sale on Amazon and Flipkart. Also, the Android version of the app called Google Pay is working properly without any issues.

As per their official statement, “The Google Pay iOS app will be briefly unavailable on the App Store; users will be able to see the new app update reappear shortly. A small number of Apple iOS users might experience persistent payment failures on their transactions. Our teams are working to fix it at the earliest. Meanwhile, affected users can reach out to Google Pay support through the app for help. We apologize for the inconvenience to our users,”.

This created a major problem for the users which were still using the Android smartphones and were unable to download the apps from Google Play Store. Due to this Huawei users were missing apps like Search, Maps, YouTube, Play Store, Drive, and Gmail. However, the company was looking for a way to get a workaround for the same and it seems now it can be possible for users to use Google Play Store apps as well.

The company is currently not allowed to work with US firms developers, but they have introduced a new “Petal Search” which is reportedly not just limited to the company’s own AppGallery but also searches for the required app in third-party app stores. The app could already show the details like the daily weather forecast, top news, live sports scores, video, image, and more.

It also allows the users to download the app, which they were not able to download earlier due to the US ban. The feature could be coming to the Huawei smartphones in December this year and could be a great way for Harmony OS by Huawei to retain its customers. There are currently no official details available on how it will work and how it will allow the users to download the apps. However, the details will soon be announced by the company.

Samsung along with Stanford university creates an OLED display with 10,000 PPI.

Pixel density is one of the most important things in any kind of screen, be it smartphones, SmartTVs, or any other device with a screen. It not only helps you decide on how sharp the display is but also makes the entire display come to life. In recent times, the sharpest display on the phone was observed in Sony Xperia 1 II, which provided a 4K resolution with 643 PPI. The phone had one of the sharpest screens till now. However, it seems that Samsung is not letting that happen and will place itself on the top spot like always.

The research team of Samsung and Stanford have created an OLED display with a pixel density(PPI) of around 10,000. If you take an average 6-inch display in a phone, which can provide 32K resolution with 6,000PPI, it would still not match what the researchers have created. The researchers used OLED film to beam out white light to two reflective layers, with one being a silver film and the other being a “metasurface.” This metasurface features a “forest of microscopic pillars,” which serve as pixels measuring 2.4 microns in size. Although it is not something you will be able to see soon on smartphones,

it is a technology that can be used in VR and could overleap the features of the existing consumer VR headset. However, with this, it would need the latest generation graphic processor to power it up. The notes of both also mention that they have been working on 20,000 PPI, which can be possible in the future. Till that time, we will have to wait for this exceptional technology to be available for consumers.

From the last few months, Google has been really active in removing the apps from its Google Play Store platform, which has any kind of user security issue or is not following its guidelines. Now, it has been reported that the company has removed 3 more applications from the platform which had over 20 million downloads till now. The name of those apps is Princess Salon, Number Coloring, and Cats & Cosplay. The reason that is coming up behind the removal seems to be a violation of data collection policies and accessing details of millions of users.

It is one of the major reasons why Google removes the applications from their platform and does not allow the companies to store the data for the user. It has also been reported that the applications had a large number of users, especially the younger crowd. Researchers at International Digital Accountability Council (IDAC) found that the three apps – Princess Salon, Number Coloring, and Cats & Cosplay – were accessing users’ Android ID and AAID (Android Advertising ID) numbers, and were violating Google’s data collection policies.

As soon as the details were provided to Google, the applications were removed. The companies have not yet made an announcement or have given details about it. However, Google will provide them with a specified amount of time to resolve the issue, and come back on the platform. For now, the apps have been removed from the Play Store and the users have been suggested to stop using this app.

iPhone 12 proves to be stronger than the iPhone 11.

With iPhone 12 came a completely new redesigned iPhone which is supposed to be stronger and tougher than the previous version of the iPhone, at least this is what Apple says. However, is the new phone really tougher than iPhone 11 or the previous version? To check this claim out, MobileReviewsEh did a test for their viewers and made a comparison between the iPhone 12 and iPhone 11. They used a force meter to determine the pressure required to crack the display. Where the iPhone 11 could only take the pressure of 352 Newtons, iPhone 12 was able to take the pressure of 443 Newtons.

Also, the crack on the iPhone 12 was much finer than the iPhone 11, making it much better. They also put a scratch test based on the Mohs Scale of Mineral Hardness, which includes various materials being used on the screen to scratch them. The scratches on the iPhone 11 model were less at point 6 and very much prominent on point 7. However, when it comes to iPhone 12, at point 6 there were no scratches, point 7 has faint scratches and deep scratches at level 8 for both the phones.

Also, the aluminum sides of the iPhone 12 are much more effective at avoiding scratches. It seems that the ceramic coating on the glass in iPhone 12 does make a difference in increasing screen durability.  The test does prove that iPhone 12 is certainly tougher than the iPhone 11 in every aspect.

As soon as PUBG was banned from the Indian market, many companies started looking for opportunities for being able to provide users with an alternative app that could provide the same kind of experience to the users. In the same trend, Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar announced the arrival of Fau-G in the coming months immediately. Now, the actor has tweeted a teaser for the PUBG inspired mobile game. The teaser shows a Sino-Indian clash at Galwan Valley and shows army personnel from both sides engaged in a duel in which the Indian side emerges victorious.

It is the same clash between the forces which led to the ban of Chinese apps in India. It is a one-minute long video and shows hand-to-hand combat and reveals no details about the gameplay. The tweet from the actor said, “Today we celebrate the victory of good over evil, and what better day to celebrate our Fearless and United Guards, our FAU-G! On the auspicious occasion of Dussehra, presenting the #FAUG teaser,”. Although many people blame that the game was developed to capitalize on the market left by PUBG.

However, it was later revealed that the game idea was developed even before the ban happened. For now, there is great support for the game and also a lot of memes and comparisons. The game is expected to launch in the coming months. However, there is no official announcement as to when the game will be available to play and what kind of features will be provided for the users.
