Good news has come across for all the Apple TV subscribers, where Apple has confirmed that it will be extending the Apple TV subscriptions further ahead. The subscriptions were all set to expire in the month of November 1, 2020, through January 31, 2021, through their billing date in February of 2021. Apple gave away a free year of Apple TV to new device purchasers last year and those are all set to end in November.

Apple has made the decision to extend the subscription as it realizes that the coming months will also be filled with COVID restrictions and most of the subscribers will not be able to renew. Also, a monthly subscriber whose subscription date is before November 1, 2020, will get a deal of $4.99 credit appearing in November, December, and January 2021. You will automatically receive the notification or email for the credit from Apple. It seems to be a very good step that has been taken by Apple, which has made people appreciate the brand even more.

Apart from this, Apple has been looking out on other subscription services as well, which may soon receive a free extension. They do understand that the pandemic situation will not allow many users to be able to continue the paid subscription, due to which they decided to extend the existing subscription. We can expect Apple to notify people about more such exceptions in the future, which will further help the users to use Apple services without thinking about paying them immediately.

Instagram has just added a lot of new features to its platform, especially to its existing feature of Instagram Reels. Instagram Reels was basically meant to be a replacement for all the users after the ban of TikTok. Reels was supposed to provide a similar kind of platform to the users where they can record a short clip and post it to their account. Instagram has been trying to make Reels the perfect alternative to TikTok and in the same efforts, they have added new features to it. The latest update brings three major changes to Reels and it’s about audio and making users engage in music-related trends.

One of the new features is “Save Audio” which will give the users the ability to save sounds in the application and can be used in their own reels. It is the way through which users can create their own background music and later use it in Reels. Another feature is “Share Audio Pages“, which allows the users to share a collection of Reels that use a specific piece of audio via DM. Lastly, the feature called “Audio browser” will help the users to search for sounds and music, and the searched music can be clipped and used in the Reels.

With the new features in Reels, it could be seen that Instagram is highly focusing on the Audio aspect of the Reels feature. It is something that even TikTok was doing for its users, and it seems the same strategy has been used by Instagram to attract TikTok users.

When it comes to low powered Android devices, Android Go has been the OS that is used for providing better performance. Based on the same operating system, Google has been trying to make a similar application that can be compatible with Android Go and use fewer resources from the smartphone to operate. In the same effort, Google has now offered Gmail Go which has been created for smartphones with low hardware capabilities and that runs on the Android Go OS. Gmail Go is now available on the Play Store platform and is confirmed to provide a much faster Gmail performance without compromising on the features.

The Gmail icon will remain the same, with the only difference of Go badge at the bottom. Once launched, the apps will almost be identical to what normal Gmail looks like, but will not consume as many resources from the hardware of the phone. The one thing that you will see missing in Gmail Go is the unavailability of the bottom bar as Google Meet has not been integrated into this version. However, it does bring a question to Gmail Go users as to how will they be able to use Google Workspace through this. You will also see that no UI elements are elevated and there is no layering and shadows in the icons.

The overall UI has many cosmetic changes which make the app a lot lighter than the original one. The frame rate is capped which can be seen by a little bit of lag while scrolling, something which can be optimized by the update. Apart from this, other Go apps available for users are Google Go, Gallery Go, Google Maps Go, and Navigation for Google Maps Go. Assistant Go and YouTube Go.
