Emojis have always been one of the best ways to share your feelings with one another without saying a word. It not only helps us to share our emotions and expression with the other person but also makes it fun to do it. Each year there are new additions to the kind of emoji a user can use and this year is no exception. Based on the events of the year where the whole world is just angry and definitely not happy with the pandemic, a new Anguish Emoji has been created. The new emoji can be easily defined as a ‘Face with spiral eyes’.

This emoji was created as a way to express the anguish that people have been suffering through this year when you are unable to express the same through words. The emoji has recently been approved by the Unicode Consortium to help out. It is not the first time a new emoji has been approved. Other emojis like “face exhaling” (clearly exhausted), “face in clouds‘ ‘ (smoke?), or “heart on fire” (self-explanatory) have also been the most relevant emoji to express the chaos in this year.

This year new emojis are clearly influenced by the global event. This emoji will be available to the users on their smartphone by 2021. This is not the only emoji we will be getting on our smartphones. Even Apple and Google are working on a new series of emoji that they will be adding to their compatible smartphones in the next year.

Apart from these leaks, many more details are expected to come out before the actual launch event happens. A new detail has been leaked just now, which confirms that the company will also be launching a new mini or more affordable version of the iPhone 12, which will be called the iPhone 12 mini.

The new iPhone 12 mini will have a display of 5.4-inches. Although it might be possible that this phone is launched in the market as iPhone 12, which will be the cheapest model in the iPhone 12 series. It is already known that four different iPhone 12 models will be released by the company, which will be the iPhone 12, Pro, Pro Max, and one more that is yet to be confirmed. It is expected that all the phones in this series will have 5G compatibility and are based on the new A14 Bionic chipset, based on the 5nm process.

The new configuration of the iPhone 12 series can be expected to give a much larger battery life and much faster performance. However, one bad news for the fans who were waiting for the new series of the phone is that it might not support the 120Hz screen refresh rate. It would have definitely helped the phone to improve gaming.

OnePlus is currently working on many different models of smartphone and a watch as well. However, the most recent launch that we will be seeing from the company, will be the OnePlus 8T Pro. Now there is a lot of expectations from the customer as OnePlus has always been a company that has offered consumers high-quality premium flagship phones. But it seems that the phone is bringing disappointment for the fanboys. The new leaks about the pricing of the product in the Europen market reveal that the phone will be placed at a very high price point, even higher than the previous high-quality flagship.

The phone is marked at €799, however, it is expected that the price of the phone will reach above $1000, for the base 8GB and 128GB model. The cost of the 256GB/12GB model will be around €899. If you compare the price of this version with the older OnePlus 7T, the price at the time of launch was 100 Euros cheaper. If the price comes to be true then the US market can expect the phone at more than $1000 dollars.

Also, it would be the first phone from the company that will be launched at above $1000 category. As per the company, the price would be justified as it has the new 865 snapdragons and is IP68 resistant. The phone will be coming in two variants. whereONe Plus 8T and *t pro. The phone will also have the all-new Snapdragon 865 with fast charging and 120hz refresh rate

Paytm fires back aggressively on Google for taking down its app on the Android platform.

Just a few hours back, Google Play store removed the Paytm app from its platform, confirming that the Paytm app violated its rules related to betting by unregulated authorities and many other reasons. The app removal came as a surprise for both the company and the users as Paytm’s removal from the platform could have severely affected the digital payment ecosystem in India. Once it was removed there was a lot of speculation behind the removal and Paytm did confirm the same on their channels, and assured the users that the app will be brought back soon.

Now a statement has been made by Paytm as well and it seems they are definitely not happy with the response of Google. As per them, they received the suspension email on Friday, without any prior warnings and the actions were taken due to Paytm’s two new cashback schemes that allowed users to earn scratch cards on its platform during IPL.  As per the statement of the spokesperson from Paytm, “This is a fairly aggressive move by Google. The question is that should Google has the ‘powers’ to call an initiative (around payments) as gambling; especially when they have a commercial interest in the ecosystem, with this amount of power. Clearly, this move shows that they are a ‘regulator’ of India’s digital ecosystem and can suspend any app, which is not a good place for India’s digital players.”

They also received written communication about their First Games app, but the issue was not related to the ban. According to the statement given in another letter to FIFS(Federation of Indian Fantasy Sports), it has been mentioned that “We observed that Google has been using its policies and regulations selectively allowing a few large companies to distribute and list their respective real-money gaming apps on the Play Store, without any hindrance, according to the letter sent to FIFS members.”

If this turns out to be true then Google Play Store might see the same kind of brunt from all the companies as Apple Play Store has been facing from the last few months. These kinds of incidents do raise a question on whether the platforms like App Store and Play Store are making their own policies and are not giving the companies the freedom to create new features in-app.

Both Samsung and Qualcomm are about to announce a new chipset later this year which is not only going to be 5G compatible, but also one of the best smartphone chipset in the world. Qualcomm is already launching their all-new Snapdragon 875 chipset later this year, which will be one of their most powerful chipsets till now. Although smartphone users are excited about it, now even Samsung has something that can really get the crowd going. Samsung is currently working on its next generation of smartphone chipset, which will be the Exynos 1000. Both the chipset will be in direct competition next year in terms of performance in a flagship device.

The new details about the new Exynos 1000 chipset have led many developers and enthusiasts to believe that the chipset will be providing better performance than the upcoming Snapdragon 875. If that comes to be true then Samsung would really have achieved great success in terms of creating the most powerful chipset to date. The details came from a Korean forum where GeekBench scores were published. As per the report, two Galaxy S21 were tested, both with an Exynos 1000 and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 875 chipset. Both these smartphones were accompanied by Xiaomi Mi 11 phones with the Snapdragon 875.

Now the initial reports do claim that as per the numbers, the Exynos 100 had a slightly higher performance than Snapdragon 875. The Galaxy S21 which the Exynos 100 achieved 1,302 points in single-core and 4,250 in the multi-core department. The Snapdragon variant got 1,159 in single and 4,090 in Multi. The Mi 11 achieved 1,102 and 4,113 points, respectively. These might not be the final picture and there might be many more tweaks to the hardware and software of the smartphones to perform better with any of these chipsets. But for now, it seems that Samsung will be crowned in the competition with Qualcomm.

If you are an Android smartphone user and have Youtube Premium, then you must know about the feature where you can minimize the Youtube video to a small window on the edge of the screen while working on a different app. The feature is very dedicated to Youtube Premium users on Android. However, it seems that the users on iOS devices are using it for free. This feature in iOS is called the PiP mode, which has been made accessible for Apple device users by Apple. After the upgrade to iOS 14, the native Picture in Picture abilities to videos on the iPhone was made available for free.

In apps, this needs to be actively supported by developers, but for web video users simply needed to press the PiP button. The feature was available to iPhone users for a short period as Google later blocked the feature. However, the feature still continues to work on the iPad and on embedded Youtube videos. Now if Apple wants, they can continue to support the feature on their devices and it will not be blocked by Google as it is an Apple iOS feature.

However, since Youtube on App Store uses Apple’s payment platform for Youtube Premium subscription, it would not be great for them to continue to support this feature for free in the future. So we can expect that the feature will be completely removed very soon. Apple users can still use the PiP feature on their iPad and embedded Youtube videos unless it is permanently blocked by Apple.

Also, if the deal works out, it will be a big deal for Jio in India as the country alone had 175 million downloads for PUBG. Also, it could lead to the addition of more elements and features to the game itself.

Amazon is all set for the Amazon Alexa Hardware event on September 24,10:30 pm IST. During the annual event, the company is expected to launch a lot of new devices along with a lot of new features and innovation it will be adding to Amazon Alexa. Amazon has been very secretive about the event and what all they are about to disclose, due to which there are no details to confirm what all will be launched. However, it is expected that Amazon will be launching a new set of speakers and a smart display under the brand of Alexa devices.

The event will be held digitally due to the pandemic and will be the first virtual event by Amazon this year. The company did launch a wide range of product in the last annual event where Echo speakers, Smart display and the smart ring was introduced to the users. Amazon has also been keeping a track on its competitors like Google and other companies who have been offering new devices with AI assistant, to directly compete with the likes of Amazon devices.

It would be a good reason for Amazon to launch a new set of Echo speakers and a new Fire Stick which could provide better features at a much more affordable price. Since this year has brought in a lot of competitors for the company with a similar product range as Amazon, it would be no surprise if the company decided to lower down the price for existing products in the market, making it a great deal for the consumers.

After Xiaomi launched the new Mi 10 Ultra just for China, global smartphone users were expected a similar variant of the smartphone for other markets. Mi 10 Ultra is one the best and high spec phone that gives a tough competition to some of the most powerful and premium phones in the market. However, since it was only available to Chinese markets, the Xiaomi fan base was really disappointed.

They will most probably be launching two variants, which will be the Mi 10T and Mi 10T Pro smartphone, with the Mi 10T lite being launched later. It is highly expected that the Lite version could be first launched in the Indian market after which it will be made available to the global market as well. Being the lite version doesn’t necessarily mean that the device will be affordable or low cost.

There is no confirmation on the price but it would be on a higher side. However, a leak was discovered where Mi 10T Pro was tagged at 699 Euros. The Pro variant is expected to have the Snapdragon 865 chipset along with a 144 Hz refresh rate and a 5,000 mAh battery for long hours of use. The Phone will also have a whopping 108MP main sensor. Restarting in iOS 14 resets the app to default Mail and Safari.

Ever since iOS has been made available to the devices, people have been trying to use all the new features that it brings along to the Apple devices. One of the most highlighting features of the new iOS 14 was that the users were allowed to use third-party apps as their default email and browser, instead of Safari and Apple Mail. It would allow users to have Outlook as the default email clients and Chrome as the default browser. The features seem to be popular among users, but there also seem to be a bug in it.

As soon as the users are resetting their phone or restarting it, the default email and browser changes back to Apple Mail and Safari. The issue was found by a Google Chrome engineer and the same has been reported to Apple as well. It is expected that the issue will soon be resolved in the future updates. The issue does seem to be a problem for developers and QA testers, who are testing such system-wide features. Also, it is an inconvenience for the users to go into Settings every time they restart, and change the settings again.

There are also minor issues that have been reported for the same feature where email links tapped in Safari still open in Apple’s Mail app despite users setting a third-party mail client. Although the issue is not a major one, it will also be addressed in the future update and we can expect it a little earlier.
