New Facebook Messenger Shortcut in WhatsApp Web

After Facebook bought Whatsapp, they have been trying to add many more features to the platform and make it as efficient as the Facebook Messenger. Since both Messenger and Whatsapp belong to WhatsApp, the company has been trying to add a connection between the two apps. The same was noticed recently after Facebook Messenger Rooms shortcut was discovered in the Whatsapp Web platform.

The new features let you connect with people via the Messenger video conferencing feature, right from Whatsapp. Also, one can now easily create a new room using the Whatsapp Shortcut. The feature has been rolled out globally to all Whatsapp users and available after the update has been installed. The room creation will have similar features to what has been introduced in Messenger in the latest update.

The room creation in Whatsapp will allow the users to add up to 50 members at one time. It is the same features that have been added to the Messenger app a few days back. The feature allows the user to directly use the Messenger application through Whatsapp, without closing any other application or opening them separately.

The feature has currently been released only for the web and desktop version of Whatsapp. However, it is expected that the company will soon release the feature on both the mobile and tablet versions. Earlier, the same feature was found to be tested on Whatsapp in beta mode, where it was tested for any bugs.

The latest update 2.2031.4, will add the feature to your platform. One can click on the three dots on the top left corner of Whatsapp and select the “Create a Room” option to use the feature. It will open a new Windows on the Messenger app. it also allows you to switch accounts if you want to create a room from a different account. A shortcut has also been placed in Individual and group chats, which can be accessed from the top right corner. The same procedure can also be used for video conferencing.

BlueMail back on Playstore after being Kicked out

Blue Mail is one of the most popular Email clients on Google Playstore and Android phones. However, recently, the app was removed from the Playstore for unknown reasons, leaving the app users in a state of surprise. The app was not visible in the search results of the Playstore and left users in confusion behind the reason for it.

As per the app’s parent company, called Blix, the move was made as Google has been fighting ongoing antitrust investigations on Google, Amazon, Facebook, and Apple. As per Blix, the app has been existing on Playstore for more than six years, and removal of the application without any prior notification was not right. Also, Google did not let them know about the reason as to why it was done.

However, Google did inform BLix about the reason, which was due to BlueMail Copying another app. As per the latest update, the app is now back on the Playstore after being unavailable for almost 15 hours. As per Google, BlueMail had similarities to the TypeApp mail app, due to which the app was temporarily removed from the platform.

After a thorough review of the app, it was made a life for users to install it. Both companies have conveyed the message and thanks for their support and asked any other developers about a similar issue being faced. One thing that came out from this issue was that it was not related in any way with the ongoing antitrust investigation against Google.

Man on Twitter claims to 3D print his own Surface Duo before the official launch

The all-new Surface Duo is around the corner for its official launch, and Microsoft is excited about the same, and so are the consumers. However, in between all of this, a user on Twitter, named Joshua, used the 3D printing technology to create his dual-screen PC, which is a recreation of Surface Duo, even before its official release.

The man currently owns an iPad 11 and wants to create his Surface Duo. First, the user posted a picture of a pair of blocks using tape, which had a similar mechanism of folding as Surface Duo. Later he posted a new pic that had an updated version of the Surface Duo, using resin and small hinges created from the 3D printer.

The duo clone had a three-way around the fold, which is very similar to the actual dual-screen PC. The replica of the upcoming device is looking impressive with the Windows logo on both sides. Microsoft and Surface Duo fans were excited to see the replica as it provided the same dimensions as the real device.

The device is all set to be launched in the last week of August, as expected. The device has been reported to have Bluetooth SIG and FCC certifications, along with many new and different features, which has not been added to any Windows device yet. It is claimed to be a very powerful device among its category.

Microsoft Edge browser crashing when keeping Google as the default search

Users of Microsoft Edge has reportedly claimed that the browser is crashing randomly while typing into the address bar. It was reported to Microsoft, which was found to be an issue with search engine default selection. The users who have Google set as the default search engine was facing this issue. Apart from that, no other user has reported the issue with Microsoft Edge.

It is believed that the issue is now resolved, and a temporary resolution has been provided to the users. The issue was reported yesterday at around 7 PM ET, where the Microsoft EDGE users on both Mac and Windows seems to have the crash issue. After four hours after the issue was reported, Microsoft resolved the issue through a workaround.

Since the issue occurred when the search engine was selected as Google, the users were told to change the default search engine to Microsoft Bing. The Microsoft team also provided another temporary solution where the user has to turn off search suggestion in edge://settings/search. “The Verge tested the solution,” and the problem seemed to be solved.

However, the Microsoft team does not inform the customers to revert any setting they changed as the crash issue has now been resolved. It is still unclear why the browser was crashing when Google was the default search engine. However, it seems to be a temporary issue as, before this, users were easily able to use Google with Microsoft EDGE with any crashes or vulnerabilities.

Netflix has a new option to control playback speed

Apple won’t sell its chipset Apple silicon to other companies

It has been quite a while before Apple announced that they are currently working on a new chipset that they will be using in their future devices. The chip was called Apple Silicon and was created by Apple due to the delay and lack of supply from Intel Chipset. Also, Apple had to pay a big amount to procure the Intel chipset for its devices. With the usage of their ow Chipset, the cost of the device would heavily reduce.

Once the announcement was made that the Chipset was in development, it was expected that Apple could sell these to other companies, just like Intel. However, Apple has now made it clear that they will not be selling the Chipset to any third party company and will be using it exclusively on their devices.

The Chipset has been designed and developed to work seamlessly with the software of the Mac devices. It would provide a better performance and power efficiency to all their Mac devices. Making them work with other products using different OS would require more research and development and take a lot of time.

However, Apple wants to keep the new Chipset exclusive for Macbook’s and iMacs. It is expected that Apple will be introducing a new lineup of iMacs that will be redesigned and use the Apple silicon chipset to integrate Apple Technology better. Apple also claimed that creating their Chipset would allow then to add features that will be exclusive only to a Mac machine, and it can have features that no other chipset can provide.

As per Tim Cook, Apple would never sell the technology that they have created for themselves, which can also be taken as an outright no from him. New Upload location and icon coming for Youtube on Mobile

Youtube has been introducing some cool features recently. From the new UI design to improvement and addition to the streaming quality, Youtube has been busy in providing a better engagement and video playback on their app. The company has hinted that it might be working on a new upload button for the mobile app, which will have a different placement location.

As per the company, the changes will be very subtle and will not bring a major change to the UI, but it will make it easier for users to upload their video on Youtube. As per their support forum, Youtube mentioned that “They are currently working on a new spot for uploading vides and a new look for the app.”

Also, the upload button’s placement was not found to be intuitive so that the new icon will be tested initially with a few users. The new icon will be in the middle of the bottom bar in the testing phase, with a “+” sign. With this addition, the Subscription feed will move to the right. When it comes to notifications, it will move on to the top navigation bar, as it is on the website. The functionality of this icon will not be changed and will remain the same.

Youtube also made a few changes to the video quality settings in the past and added a “Top Comment” feature in the Comments section. Users can expect many new and different features from Youtube, which can be featured in the new looking UI.

New Chat head bubble feature coming on Telegram

Telegram has been active with new features been rolled out and many of them in development for the newer version of the application. This week has been busy for the app developers as they have added a whole bunch of new features, making the App much easier to use. Another new feature has been reported in the beta version of the app 6.3, where the company is testing chat bubbles for Android messages.

The feature is not yet public to any Telegram users and is hidden in the debug menu until fully developed. However, you can still access the feature from the debug menu. The feature will be available on the device with the Android 10+ version and can be enabled using a long press on the app version in Settings of Telegram until you see (¯_(ツ)_/¯) emoji.

Once the emoji appears, long-pressing the app version again will bring the debug menu. There you will see the option to enable the Chat bubble option. The feature was also noted by XDA developers and found that the feature crashes on Pixel 4 devices and ROG phone 3. It is expected as the feature is still in development and the beta version.

It is also expected that features will be added in time for launch in the Android 11 version. Telegram has been working to bring many new features, and more features similar to Whatsapp, which can make the App more preferred as the primary communication app. One thing is for sure that we will see a lot of new features in the App.
