Just as we are about to view multiple launches at the Samsung event on August 5, new leaks for Samsung Galaxy 3 have been noticed. The manual reveals all the details about the product and confirms the specs as well. The manual also provides information that the watch will come in two different models: 41mm and 45mm, which will be Bluetooth 5.0 ready and will have LTE ready configuration. The watch is said to come in three different colors: Mystic Black, Silver, and Bronze.

The watch will be entirely made out of Titanium and will have a premium finish as always. It was expected that the watch would be launched in the event three days after.

However, the manual’s leak has already provided all the required information for which the event was held. As per the leaked information, the watch will be refined and much better than the previous generation. It will have Tizen OS 5.5, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of storage space. Both the models of the watch will have two buttons to customize settings.

The larger display will come with a 1.4-inch screen and 340mAh battery, while the smaller model has a 1.2-inch display. The display used in the watch is AMOLED with the protection of Corning’s Gorilla Glass DX. The watch will also come with MIL-STD-810G certification for military-grade protection and resistance. It also gets the 5ATM and IP68 certifications from the previous generation, making it resistant to water.

There is no clear information about the pricing, but the manual reveal has not left any information to surprise for Samsung fanboys. The watch will be launched on August 5 and is expected to be available for pre-order immediately. The watch will be available for sale in-store from September onwards.

Oppo recently announced their Oppo watch, which had a very similar design to Apple and was said to be a great alternative to Apple watch. The watch was originally launched in China with a customized version of Android on board. However, Oppo has finally revealed its global plans to release the watch with Google’s Wear OS on board. Oppo released the watch as the first globally to launch with a dual-curved glass display.

The screen on the watch is OLED with curved on the two sides, like in smartphones. The watch is available in two different sizes, 46mm and 41mm, to select LTE connectivity for the 46mm model. The watch will also come with a large battery of 430mAh, which will have a fast charging of 50% in 15 minutes and a full charge in 75 minutes.

The hardware found on the Chinese version of the watch has powerful hardware and ran fluidly. The same is expected from the global version of the Oppo watch as well. Some details on the watch’s pricing have also revealed where the watch is said to be priced in the UK at £369 ($484) for 46mm, and the 41mm will be £229 ($300).

It will be surprising to see if Oppo plans to bring in some exciting and new features in the watch’s global variant. However, from the first impression that users had from the Chinese version, the watch is expected to perform outrageously well both in performance and looks.

Microsoft ending Cortana support for Mobile, Invoke and Surface Headphones

Cortana has been a major part of the Microsoft AI program, where they have been consistently working on making it one of the best AI assistants on Microsoft devices. However, a recent document from Microsoft has released that they are about to end Cortana’s support on mobile, Invoke smart speakers, and Surface Headphones. The decision to remove Cortana from these devices results from the bigger picture, as said by Microsoft officials.

The Company has been trying to evolve Cortana into something much more than just an AI assistant and is looking for more innovation areas that can be added. To create a better version of Cortana in the future, they remove it from the mentioned platform. The support for Cortana is supposed to end in early 2021.

The Company will also be ending support for third party Cortana skills on September 7. The Company is also closing the Invoke feature’s support after the last update, which will be provided after six months. The same will also be done for Surface headphone owners. The customers who are still using these devices will be eligible for a $50 credit.

The Company has mentioned that they do not want to limit Cortana in the environment of AI assistants. Instead, it is looking out for many other ways through which Cortana can be of great help to the users. It is why Cortana will now support more of the basic features like integration with outlook, providing better expertise on OS, etc.

Apple removes many games apps from Chinese App store

Apple seems to have removed over 29000 apps from its Chinese version of the Apple Store on Saturday. Out of those, 26000 seems to be games that people play on their iPhone. The report was confirmed by the research firm Qimai. The 26000 games that have been put down from the App Store in China are mostly considered to be licensed games. The reason for this seems to be a crackdown on unlicensed games by Chinese authorities.

Before the actions were taken, Apple did ask the game developers to provide the government-issued license number by June-end, which was required to activate the game’s in-app purchases. This restriction has been there on the Chinese App Store for over a year. However, this year Apple has been enforcing them very strictly.

Over 2500 titles were removed from the App store in the first week of July, and some of them were popular games like Zynga, Supercell, and more. The report was also confirmed by the research firm SensorTower. The Chinese government is also taking the same action for a long time to restrict sensitive content on gaming apps.

As per the gaming mobile gaming industry in China, they claim that getting the game’s license in China is not an easy task and takes a lot of time for the same. It is why the ban’s effect is going to take a lot of game developers into surprise. As per them, it is going to disturb the entire gaming industry in China for iOS. It seems that more applications would have to bear the heat in the coming times.

New Facebook Messenger Shortcut in WhatsApp Web

After Facebook bought Whatsapp, they have been trying to add many more features to the platform and make it as efficient as the Facebook Messenger. Since both Messenger and Whatsapp belong to WhatsApp, the company has been trying to add a connection between the two apps. The same was noticed recently after Facebook Messenger Rooms shortcut was discovered in the Whatsapp Web platform.

The new features let you connect with people via the Messenger video conferencing feature, right from Whatsapp. Also, one can now easily create a new room using the Whatsapp Shortcut. The feature has been rolled out globally to all Whatsapp users and available after the update has been installed. The room creation will have similar features to what has been introduced in Messenger in the latest update.

The room creation in Whatsapp will allow the users to add up to 50 members at one time. It is the same features that have been added to the Messenger app a few days back. The feature allows the user to directly use the Messenger application through Whatsapp, without closing any other application or opening them separately.

The feature has currently been released only for the web and desktop version of Whatsapp. However, it is expected that the company will soon release the feature on both the mobile and tablet versions. Earlier, the same feature was found to be tested on Whatsapp in beta mode, where it was tested for any bugs.

The latest update 2.2031.4, will add the feature to your platform. One can click on the three dots on the top left corner of Whatsapp and select the “Create a Room” option to use the feature. It will open a new Windows on the Messenger app. it also allows you to switch accounts if you want to create a room from a different account. A shortcut has also been placed in Individual and group chats, which can be accessed from the top right corner. The same procedure can also be used for video conferencing.

BlueMail back on Playstore after being Kicked out

Blue Mail is one of the most popular Email clients on Google Playstore and Android phones. However, recently, the app was removed from the Playstore for unknown reasons, leaving the app users in a state of surprise. The app was not visible in the search results of the Playstore and left users in confusion behind the reason for it.

As per the app’s parent company, called Blix, the move was made as Google has been fighting ongoing antitrust investigations on Google, Amazon, Facebook, and Apple. As per Blix, the app has been existing on Playstore for more than six years, and removal of the application without any prior notification was not right. Also, Google did not let them know about the reason as to why it was done.

However, Google did inform BLix about the reason, which was due to BlueMail Copying another app. As per the latest update, the app is now back on the Playstore after being unavailable for almost 15 hours. As per Google, BlueMail had similarities to the TypeApp mail app, due to which the app was temporarily removed from the platform.

After a thorough review of the app, it was made a life for users to install it. Both companies have conveyed the message and thanks for their support and asked any other developers about a similar issue being faced. One thing that came out from this issue was that it was not related in any way with the ongoing antitrust investigation against Google.

Man on Twitter claims to 3D print his own Surface Duo before the official launch

The all-new Surface Duo is around the corner for its official launch, and Microsoft is excited about the same, and so are the consumers. However, in between all of this, a user on Twitter, named Joshua, used the 3D printing technology to create his dual-screen PC, which is a recreation of Surface Duo, even before its official release.

The man currently owns an iPad 11 and wants to create his Surface Duo. First, the user posted a picture of a pair of blocks using tape, which had a similar mechanism of folding as Surface Duo. Later he posted a new pic that had an updated version of the Surface Duo, using resin and small hinges created from the 3D printer.

The duo clone had a three-way around the fold, which is very similar to the actual dual-screen PC. The replica of the upcoming device is looking impressive with the Windows logo on both sides. Microsoft and Surface Duo fans were excited to see the replica as it provided the same dimensions as the real device.

The device is all set to be launched in the last week of August, as expected. The device has been reported to have Bluetooth SIG and FCC certifications, along with many new and different features, which has not been added to any Windows device yet. It is claimed to be a very powerful device among its category.

Microsoft Edge browser crashing when keeping Google as the default search

Users of Microsoft Edge has reportedly claimed that the browser is crashing randomly while typing into the address bar. It was reported to Microsoft, which was found to be an issue with search engine default selection. The users who have Google set as the default search engine was facing this issue. Apart from that, no other user has reported the issue with Microsoft Edge.

It is believed that the issue is now resolved, and a temporary resolution has been provided to the users. The issue was reported yesterday at around 7 PM ET, where the Microsoft EDGE users on both Mac and Windows seems to have the crash issue. After four hours after the issue was reported, Microsoft resolved the issue through a workaround.

Since the issue occurred when the search engine was selected as Google, the users were told to change the default search engine to Microsoft Bing. The Microsoft team also provided another temporary solution where the user has to turn off search suggestion in edge://settings/search. “The Verge tested the solution,” and the problem seemed to be solved.

However, the Microsoft team does not inform the customers to revert any setting they changed as the crash issue has now been resolved. It is still unclear why the browser was crashing when Google was the default search engine. However, it seems to be a temporary issue as, before this, users were easily able to use Google with Microsoft EDGE with any crashes or vulnerabilities.
