If you want to share an app on a smartphone that is running the Android operating system, then there are a lot of ways to do so. However, Google has now added a new feature to Nearby Share through which apps sharing between the smartphones will become a lot easier. Nearby Share is an in-built feature of the Android operating system which allows the users to share files between devices without using any third party or a specific app.

Although it is still new and was announced in August last year, the feature was meant to compete with the iOS feature AirDrop that is used on the iPhone. Nearby Share comes with similar functionality and is available for Android devices running version 6.0 or later. The feature can be used to share images, links, and files with nearby Android devices, and with the new addition, even apps could be shared easily now.

When you go to Google Play Store app>>My Apps, you will notice a new tab called “Share“, which is located next to the Library and is already available to use. From there, the user will be able to select the option of sending or receiving the apps. The feature would only work when you activate the location services and will provide you with a list of installed apps in case you want to send the app to a different Android smartphone. Once selected, the nearby devices will be searched, and once selected, the app will automatically transfer to the nearby device.

Twitter has added a lot of features since the pandemic to enhance the experience of the users. Now, the micro-blogging site is all set to roll out a new feature in the Indian market only which will be experimental for now. The new feature would allow the users to send voice messages in direct messages to a user. The new feature will be rolled out to the Indian audience in phases, alongside two other countries Brazil, Japan. Although the feature is still experimental, it has received a lot of positive reviews and is still getting better day by day.

As per the official statement of Manish Maheshwari, Managing Director of Twitter India, “India is a priority market for Twitter and that is why we’re constantly testing new features and learning from people’s experience on the service here. We’re excited to bring the voice messages in DMs experiment to the country and give people a new way to express themselves and help them connect through the nuances, emotion, and empathy built by hearing someone’s voice.” The voice message has been capped to a max of 140 seconds and can help people to chat with each other quickly. As per the company, there are a lot of things that cannot be explained in text and the new voice message feature will help to convey that.

As per Alex Ackerman-Greenberg, Product Manager for direct messages at Twitter, “We are dedicated to giving people more options to express themselves in conversations on Twitter — both publicly and privately. We hope letting people record and send voice messages as DMs will enhance their conversational experience by adding convenience and expression.” Users can simply tap the new voice recording icon in direct messages on Android. On iOS, the users can hold down the voice recording icon and swiping up to send immediately after you’re done talking.

Microsoft has today announced the arrival of an all-in-one Office app for iPad which would allow the users to use multiple Microsoft tools on the iOS device. The new Microsoft unified Office app provides the users with access to a suite of all productivity software on Apple’s tablet. The app was previously available for both iOS and Android. However, with the growing popularity, the company is planning to expand the service even further. With the new app, it brings Microsoft’s most popular apps (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) together into a single application.

It would also create features to create PDFs, sign documents, and more. As per what Microsoft defined this feature is, “simple, integrated experience that puts the tools you need for working on a mobile device at the forefront of the experience. We started by combining the existing Word, Excel, and PowerPoint mobile apps into a single app,” Microsoft said when it launched the unified Office on iPhone. “Doing so brings all of your Office documents together in one place, reduces the need to switch between multiple apps, and significantly reduces the amount of space on your phone compared to multiple installed apps.””

With Apple iPad becoming more of an alternative for computer systems and laptops, it might be seen as the right decision from Microsoft. With time, we might see some more improved and new features in the unified app, which would help the users to access all the tools from the account. However, for that, you need a Microsoft 365 subscription at $6.99 or $9.99/ per month for individuals or families.

Apple watch series have faced some issues with the update in the past and something similar also happened a few months back with the new update for Apple Watch SE and Series 5, where the users reported battery drainage. The problem was very specific to the Battery Saving power reserve mode in both models. At the early stage, Apple provided free repairs to the owners but now the company has rolled out yet another update for Series 5 and Watch SE which fixes the issue automatically.

The new update is watchOS 7.3.1 and the update log states that “watchOS 7.3.1 addresses an issue that prevented some Apple Watch Series 5 and Apple Watch SE devices from charging after entering Power Reserve“”. In case you have the same device and were facing an exactly similar issue then you simply have to open the Watch app and go to the General options. Once there, select the Software Update option and download the new update. Once the update is installed, the issue will automatically be resolved.

However, make sure that while updating the watch, the battery percentage is more than 50% or the watch should be kept on charging. To check if the issue is there in your device, place it on the charger and wait for at least half an hour. If the device fails to begin charging, it means that the device is affected. Although the company has already discontinued the Apple Watch Series 5, they will continue to support and provide updates for the same

It has only been a few months since iPhone 12 has been launched and is still very new to the market. However, the details of the new iPhone 13 are already coming out and from what we have heard till now, the new iPhone will carry forward the design of the iPhone 12 but with some additional features. The new details that have been reported state that iPhone 13 might come with a new screen that has an always-on display. The details were shared by leakster Max Weinbach which states that the phone will continue to offer the same finish as the iPhone 12.

However, the screen in use will be changed to a 120Hz LTPO display, which was earlier expected to be a feature set to release for iPhone 12. The always-on feature on the display will be similar to what one can see in the Apple Watch 5 and 6 series. The feature would offer very minimal customizations with the clock and battery status remaining visible at all times. Also, a small part of the screen will light up for notifications. As per the leakster, “Always-On Display will have minimal customizability. The current design basically looks like a toned-down lock screen. Clock and battery charge are always visible

Notifications seem to be displayed using a bar and icons. Upon receiving, the notification will pop up normally except that the screen will not entirely light up. Instead, it will display it just like you’re used to right now, except dimmed down and only temporarily.” It is also expected that the phone would have a smaller notch, an in-display fingerprint scanner, and a new night mode feature for the camera that would be similar to the Astrophotography mode in Pixel devices. The new iPhone is also expected to use a vapor cooling chamber system to offer better cooling on the inside.
