When Apple decided to ship their new iPhone series without a charger, a lot of memes and the mocking post came out from companies like Samsung Xiaomi and more, stating that their phones still come with the chargers. However, a few days back, Samsung removed their mocking post from Twitter and is now planning to launch the Galaxy S21 series with a charger due to the same environmental reason. In the same trend, even Xiaomin posted a photo of their smartphone packaging showing people that they do include chargers, unlike Apple.

However, it seems that the company is going to follow the companies on the same track as well. Recently, Xiaomi’s CEO Lei Jun has revealed the details of the phone’s packaging which was released on Weibo. The new package seems to be very thin and light, something similar to Apple. The main reason for the package to be so thin is because the company has decided to remove the charger which was added to all their smartphones. Therefore, Xiaomi Mi 11 will be shipping with any charger in the retail box.

Even Xiaomi is following the same reason for environmental harm and an effort to reduce the consumption of harmful elements for the environment. However, the companies are also planning to provide the customers with discounts and coupons on the sale of the smartphone, which could be a way to compensate the customers for the lack of charger in the box. More details will be released when the company officially launches the phone this month.

A few months back, Google introduced its Pixel 5 and Pixel 4a 5G smartphones in the market. The company has already started the development of the next smartphone in the series which is the Google Pixel 6. The next generation of Pixel smartphone is said to bring in a lot of new features and improvements with it next year and a new patent discovered by Patently Apple shows that the new Pixel will not have a visible front camera on the display, and does not have a cutout or pop-up lens.

Now the patent does not mention anything about how the camera will be visible in the phone for front video and selfies. However, it does give a strong hint on the fact that the company might be using the under-display lens, which came into the news a few months back. The patent also confirms that the camera design and placement will remain the same as in previous smartphones from Pixel and will have two sensors and flash.

Other leaks also suggest that it will be powered using the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor and will have a dual sim slot as well. It was earlier expected that the company might introduce this phone as Pixel 5 Pro and then later launch the Pixel 6 with Snapdragon 888. However, it continues to remain a mystery until any official confirmation comes from Google. Also, we do expect a lot more information to pop out for Pixel 6 in the coming weeks.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 appears in two render images

One of the most awaited phones from Samsung next year is certainly Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 and recently there has been rendering leaks that show two different versions of the phone. Now the company already has multiple patents when it comes to the device and it shows that the company is trying to make the device new and unique further than what it is. Two tipsters and reviewers Pigtou and xleaks, took the patent document of Samsung and tried to create two renders of the phones using the sake.

The first renders show that the phone divided into three different parts instead of two like in previous fold devices. The panel on the left and right seem to bend as they converge in the center of the large display. However, if this design is adopted for the device, the screen is going to be much larger than before. The phone also has an additional external display attached to it and the main camera is installed with four vertically positioned sensors.

The second version has the same folding principles, except one difference where one of the halves bends not inward, but outward; and in this version, the device resembles an accordion or a Z-shaped structure. The second design does not need an additional display like the previous design but increases the risk of damage in case it falls. The two renders cover all the aspects of the patents that were meant for the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 and as per them, we might see something really unique coming out next year.

When it comes to working on a new type of device, companies like Apple, Samsung, LG, and more have always taken the lead and have been trying to create something unique. A few months back, news came in that both Apple and Samsung are working on a very small tile-like device, which is a simple GPS tracker and can be used with Bluetooth as well. Although there is currently no detail about the tracker Apple is creating, there are a lot of details on the device Samsung is working on.

The new tile-like smart object tracker is going to be launched next month and we could possibly see it coming with the Samsung Galaxy S21 series launch in January. The new leak shows a clearer design of the Galaxy Smart Tag. The tag will work with the app called SmartThings Find App and can be paired with the Galaxy Smart tag, which comes in Black and White colors. There is a circular button in the middle which is used to activate the device and also has a lanyard hole for easily carrying it around.

The button can be used to find the connected phones and also as an object tracker and an object attached to it. It is Bluetooth 5.1 compatible and would be priced at just €15. The device is powered using a 3V CR2032 coin cell and can easily be replaced. We could also be looking at a similar device from Apple in the future.

When it comes to the App Store in China, Apple has been facing a lot of issues such as Antitrust issues, issues with the content of the App, and the conflicting authority of the Chinese government over the App Store. While it has led to a lot of problems for the app developers, it seems that there is not going to be an end to it soon. Apple has reportedly removed or will be removing more than thousands of video game apps from the App Store in China.

As per the details provided by The Wall Street Journal, the video games are facing removal as Beijing tightens control of the Internet. Apple has sent a memo to all the premium games and games with in-app purchase options, “would have until the end of the year to provide proof of government license or the app would be removed.” Apple has already removed thousands of similar apps from the Chinese online store, including a count of at least 94,000 games. It is said that the Chinese government is doing so to remove any kind of loopholes that Apple has been using in the previous years.

As per the Chinese government, they are removing all the apps which have illegal activity, including obscenity, pornography, prostitution, violence, fraud, or gambling. However, the government has also removed the globally known app Tripadvisor from the same without any strong reasons. It seems that Apple will have to follow all the regulations on this one, as China is one of its biggest app markets in the world.

OnePlus is all set to launch in the month of March 2021 and the details of the smartphone are already coming out in bulk. One of the confirmed details about the handset that has made the market is that the new smartphone will come with the wireless and reverse wireless charging feature. Therefore, one can easily say that the OnePlus 9 phone would come with a much bigger battery. Also, it seems that the company will be retaining a lot of features and designs from the OnePlus 8 series which has worked very well for the handset.

The confirmed details of the phone are that it will definitely be running on the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 888, also there is going to be a lite version of the OnePlus 9 which is going to launch with the vanilla version of the handset. The reports do indicate that the new smartphone will carry forward a lot of features from the OnePlus 8 Pro, such as wireless charging, reverse wireless charging, and a 65W fast-charging system charging the 4500mAh battery. However, these features will not be added as it is and will feature an upgrade over the previous version.

We all know that the new iOS 14 and iPadOS 14 are popular for their new privacy features that have not only made many companies like Facebook unhappy but have also made the data on the iPhone more secure. The company has started rolling out a new privacy feature on the iPhone and iPads for iOS 14 and iPadOS 14 which will inform the users if any apps are tracking their activity or not. The prompt has already started to appear in the beta of iOS 14.4 for many users.

As per the details, each app will now have to explicitly ask the user if it can track their activities beyond the use of the concerned app. Once you have updated the Apple device with the update, users can visit Settings > Privacy to see which apps are tracking their activities and revoke their permission if they want. Those waiting for this feature to come on their device will have to wait until next year, after which you will be able to see a pop-up notification asking for tracking activity when the app is open after the device update.

The feature was also confirmed in a tweet by Tim Cook last week and as per his post, “We believe users should have the choice over the data that is being collected about them and how it’s used. Facebook can continue to track users across apps and websites as before, App Tracking Transparency in iOS 14 will just require that they ask for your permission first.” It might seem that Facebook might still not be affected by the update for now, but the future updates are still something that will not benefit the company a lot.
