Android 11 is about to release as it is almost ready and only going through final testing and a few performance tweaks before the release. Also, it seems that it will not only be the smartphones which will be upgraded to Android 11, but it will also be the Android TV. Android 11 has debuted on the Android TV platform just a couple of weeks after the latest Android version arrived for smartphones. The new Android 11 software for smartTV’s has been tailor-made with a lot of changes and adjustments. It is supposed to give a much smoother experience on the TV and reduce latency using the Auto Low Latency Mode as well as extended gamepad support.

Google has also upgraded the Android TV Emulator to help developers easily test their apps for smart TVs. One of the major focuses for Android 11 OS in the smart TV is the Auto Low Latency Mode which was earlier only present in the smartphones but now is available to TV as well. The feature will help provide a smoother and better television performance for people who play games and videos on TV. This would also allow the developers to create much better and powerful programs and graphics in the future.

Google has also added support for the Nintendo Switch Pro controller and Steam controller to Android 11. The new OS also has an inattentive sleep feature where they can set a time after which the TV goes to sleep. The update has already been rolled out to the existing Android TV’s and will be made available to other parts of the world in a few days.

POCO X3 was one of the most expected smartphone launches in India and it was finally launched on September 22. However, when it comes to smartphones, it did come with a minor change in the Indian market. The global variant of the POCO X3 has the feature of NFC, but the same feature was missing in the Indian variant and got replaced by a bigger 6,000 mAH battery. In an interview with POCO India General Manager C Manmohan, he confirmed that the NFC feature has been removed to make room for more battery as the Indian market prefers the feature of bigger battery life than NFC.

It seems to be a good call from POCO as bigger battery life has always been a bigger requirement in the Asian market. Where the global variant of the phone with NFC has a 5,160 mAh battery, the Indian version has a massive 6,000 mAh battery capacity. NFC has been a popular feature in the international market as it is being used for contactless payments. The phone has now been launched on an online e-commerce store Flipkart and has 3 variants with 6GB/64GB, 6GB/128GB, and an 8GB/256 GB model.

The variants have been priced at Rs 16,999, Rs 18,499, and Rs 19,999 in India, with Cobalt Blue and Shadow Gray color variants. The phone also has a 6.67-inch 120Hz IPS LCD FHD display with a punch-hole design for the front camera. The rear has a quad-camera setup with a 64 MP sensor and is powered with a Snapdragon 732G chipset. Although it’s not a 5G phone but has certainly hit all the right spots to be one of the best phones in its segment.

After the Pixel 4a was launched, rumors immediately started picking pace for the 5G variant of the phone. Pixel 4a has been really appreciated for the software optimized performance and a good, clutter-free interface. The new details about the Pixel 4a 5G reveal that it is going to get very similar specs to that of a Pixel 5. The information was leaked by WinFuture where they confirmed that the phone will be announced by Google on September 30.

The phone will have a front 6.2-inch OLED panel which will work at a resolution of 2340 x 1080, which is the same on Pixel 4a and Pixel 5. The phone will also have a PPI of 413, which is not as great as was expected from Google. In fact, it is the worst Pixel density in a Pixel phone this year. The phone will also have a Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection in the front and will be powered by a Snapdragon 765G and 6GB of RAM. The phone will also get a similar rear camera as that expected in a Pixel 5.

The Pixel 4a 5G will also have two microphones and a 3.5 mm headphone jack. The price for the handset has not been revealed yet, but as per the sources, the new Pixel 4a 5G could be priced at near 499 Euros.

OnePlus 8T is on the way to be released in a few days but has been making a lot of noise due to the powerful specs that it will be providing. The specs of OnePlus 8T and Pro models are not a secret and have already been leaked online by many different sources. Therefore, customers know what to expect from them. However, the latest details that have been leaked about the phone was totally unexpected and will make the new smartphone one of the best in its category. The company is all set to add a big charging update on the new model which is potentially a twin charging system.

The charging feature is not available on any smartphone in the market year and the teaser from OnePlus 8T shows the company’s Warp Charging powering up a pair of batteries. It is the same technology Oppo has been working on for a long time now and has been able to provide SuperVOOC charging technology based on it. Since both the companies share the manufacturing line, it seems that the new tech will be passed on to OnePlus 8T models as well.

In theory, it would have two smaller batteries instead of a single big battery and will charge each of them separately. This would allow the phone to charge faster and not get heated up at the same time. With the twin charging feature, the company can leave behind the charging technology they have been using in their previous phones, making the new 8T series even better. Also, this will give the OnePlus 8T and Pro model the edge over other phones in the same segment.

Samsung has recently made a very big announcement that it will be launching a FE version of their flagships in the year to come. The announcement was made during the Keynote event and Samsung is all serious about the competition. It means that Samsung will be launching all the flagship every year, as it does, but will also be launching a lite version or fan edition for the same as well. If that comes to be the trend from Samsung in the future, it will give some serious competition to premium flagship brands like OnePlus who have started offering users premium phones and a lighter or more affordable version as well.

Samsung is already in the works to create a fan edition or lite version of the Samsung Galaxy S20. However, instead of the word “Lite“, the company prefers to use the FE, which means Fan edition. If this goes on, then we can surely see a FE edition of the Note series as well. This step has been taken by Samsung to increase the market share and also make the premium smartphones more affordable. The trend has not only been adopted by Samsung but many companies in the past as well.

Companies such as Apple do launch a SE version of the iPhone and have recently launched an Apple Watch SE which is a more affordable version of Apple Watch 6. A similar strategy was also seen by OnePlus, who introduced the OnePlus Nord and is now working on a budget segment $200 phone and a mid-range phone. Going by this strategy, Samsung will surely look to add more users to its mid-range premium and premium segment.

Voice assistant is one of the best technologies and also one of the booming in the current technology market. Voice assistants have become so important to everyone that companies are focusing on adding the technology to more and more platforms to make it much more user friendly for the users. Leaning in the same direction, Microsoft has announced several changes to Outlook for Windows, iOS, and Android. Microsoft has been trying to simplify the email setup process on all platforms.

You’ll now be able to scan a QR code from your computer that will securely transfer email credentials to Outlook mobile. It definitely reduces the work of any IT department who spent a long time setting up emails on personal devices. Another important AI feature that Outlook now has is that whenever you receive an email by someone who is asking for your availability, Outlook will check your calendar and suggest your specific date and time. This is a great feature where the AI will try to learn and suggest more options based on the emails you receive.

Microsoft has also tried to make Outlook look much more engaging and easier to navigate with a built-in voice assistant. The voice assistant can be used to search for emails and contact on Outlook. The features will probably roll out on all platforms next month and will let you use the voice assistant on Outlook to schedule new events, call colleagues through Teams, and search for files. Some new details about Apple have revealed that the tech giant could be reportedly investing $330 million in a Taiwan based company that specializes in micro-LED. This information was fueled by the statement given by Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, where he claimed that Apple will be boosting the adoption of mini-LED technology due to increased competition among suppliers for mini-LED chips. Previously, it was believed that Epistar was going to be an exclusive supplier for mini-LED chips to Apple in 2022, but the recent developments have made it clear that it will supply Apple with the mini LEDs starting next year.

Micro-Led has many advantages over the normal LED screen, as it is much thinner and consumes even less power. The Micro-LED has a faster update rate and a wider viewing angle as well. The adoption of this will drop the cost of Apple products anywhere from $30-$40. It is also expected that in the near future Apple will adopt the technology to most of its product lineups such as Macbooks, iPhones, and iPads. Apple in the past was also granted a patent for a fitness bank with Micro-Led.

However, there is currently no status on the development of the product. If that comes out this year, then it will be the first fitness band and Micro-led product from Apple. It is also expected that the next-generation Apple Watch 7 could use these Micro-Led’s to increase the battery life and consume less power. It seems like investing $330 million would turn out to be a great investment for Apple in the near future.
