Before the annual Samsung event in August, much new information is coming about Samsung devices, specifically from the Galaxy S20 series. As per the latest leak, the Samsung Galaxy S20 Fan edition or Galaxy S20 Lite has been spotted in two different colors and battery specs. The rumors suggest that the company is working on a lite version of the Samsung Galaxy S20, which is very similar to what they did with the Galaxy S10 device. It is expected that these two colors, which are light Pink and Blue (there are no official color names announced yet), will be available in Europe after the launch.

Another information leaked by Galaxyclub.nl is that the model number of this phone is EB-BG781ABY, and the battery capacity of this particular device will be around 4,370mAh. The rumors also suggest that the phone will specifically be launched in the European market initially, and there is no information about its global availability. The expected specs of the phone do include a 120Mhz screen refresh rate along with IP68 certification for the build.

The phone may also come with Snapdragon 865 SoC and have 6GB of RAM. The phone pricing can be expected a bit higher than the S10 Lite version, which can be anywhere between $100-$150. Everyone has been expecting Samsung to unveil some information or the device it is going to take place on August 5. They have also announced a “Life Unstoppable” event on September 2, which can be a launching ground for Samsung Galaxy S20 Lite.

Garmin is one of the most reputed and popular US-based wearables and navigation device makers, with more than millions of users with their devices. Recently the company has suffered a major outage across its range of services and call centers. The services that were affected due to the outage were Garmin Connect, flyGarmin, and Garmin Pilot apps.

It is rumored that these attacks could be Ransomware, however, no such information has been confirmed by either the company or any other associated source. The company made an official tweet. They mentioned, “We are currently experiencing an outage that affects Garmin Connect, and as a result, the Garmin Connect website and mobile app are down at this time.

In the second tweet, they mentioned, “This outage also affects our call centers, and we are currently unable to receive any calls, emails, or online chats. We are working to resolve this issue as quickly as possible and apologize for this inconvenience.” The problem persists, and the company website and other services are still down for anyone to access. If it is confirmed as a Ransomware, then there is a huge risk that the users’ data can be leaked.

Also, such attacks have increased over the years, and more than 50% of organizations worldwide have had such digital attacks. Such attacks put the customer’s data at risk and stop companies from taking any action that can resolve the issue. Currently, Garmin is trying to seek out the issue, and they would not want their users to panic from the news of Ransomware

Samsung has always been eager to bring out new features on its phone, and as a result, they are now planning to replace the German ID card with their phone. The concept is not new, as it was in discussion for a long period on a global scale. Since almost everyone has a smartphone now, one does carry a digital copy of the ID cards on their phone. However, replacing the physical ID card with an original digital version on the phone will be a new concept.

Samsung has announced that Germany’s National electronic ID will be available on its phones later this year. It has happened due to an exclusive partnership with the German Federal Office for Information Security, Bundesdruckerei (bdr), and Deutsche Telekom Security.

With this feature implemented in Germany, citizens would not have to carry their physical ID card any longer. They can carry all their original ID cards on their smartphone. They have developed a hardware-based security architecture, which would allow the citizens to do so. All the organizations involved in it have developed a holistic security architecture around the hardware.

The German users of  Samsung Galaxy S20, Samsung Galaxy S20+, and Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra will add their national ID through a dedicated app, distributed by bdr (Bundesdruckerei), and can be used to open a bank account or use specific eGovernment services. The most common concern for the citizens would be the security of their personal information.

Samsung has already mentioned that its Galaxy S20 family of phones will have embedded Secure Element (eSE). It stores all the sensitive data on a separate processor inside the phone with proper isolation and protection against hardware attacks and attempts to copy information stored. Samsung claims that it will set the base for adding more documents on the phone, such as driver’s license, insurance cards, keys, etc.
