Google Photos is a great tool for people who automatically want to store all their videos and photos from their phones, directly to Google Cloud. The same feature will now be brought to Canon Cameras, where all the images will directly be transferred to Google Photos. The feature is named “easy Wi-Fi backup“. The major problem with digital cameras is that no matter how technological advances they are, one still has to access them manually from the Digital camera. However, with the new feature, the user will be able to upload all the photos to Google Photos and later access them from anywhere, even their own smartphones.

The new feature will also allow the user to transfer original quality photos to either Google Photos, Youtube, or Google Drive as well. The best part about the feature is the ability to transfer photos with original quality and resolution and the user will not suffer any loss in the quality, regardless of the Google platform they upload the content to. However, to do so, one would require a Google One membership and the Canon camera should be a part of a compatible camera list that Google One has already released.

It mainly includes top-of-the-line EOS DSLRs and Micro Four Thirds, as well as a wide-range of PowerShot point-and-shoots. Google One will provide users with 100GB of storage space, which will be free for the first month on a trial basis. The paid plans will start at $1.99/month for 100GB, while double that is $2.99 and 2TB costs $9.99 ($99.99 per year). Plans for 10, 20, and 30TB are also available for the users.

Fitbit is one of the most popular companies when it comes to wearable fitness devices. While Google has been trying to acquire Fitbit, the company has launched a set of new hardware for its wearable gadgets. The company’s new hardware will have a new and advanced health tracking mechanism with complete ECG support. As per the company, the new feature will be completely ready by the end of the year and will be available for the users in the form of a new smartwatch.

The company has not been able to use the same feature on the existing product or even new ones as it was not given clearance by the FDA in the US. However, it seems that it will change by the end of this year when the company will be able to develop the feature completely. The company cleared that they are currently in the final review stage of the feature and trying to check for any kind of bigs and optimisation that is required. The company is also confident that the clearance for this will be given by both US and Europe by the end of this year.

Other competitors like Samsung have not been able to get the same kind of clearance for the last two years. Only Apple, with months of trying, is currently the only smartwatch with clearance to the ECG feature. Adding the ECG feature and getting the clearance for the same in the US will defiantly add a lot of weight and preference for Fitbit products.

Google has been trying to make a lot of improvements to its Android operating system to make it much more efficient on a smartphone that does now have a high-end specification. In the same attempt, Google is now redesigning the editor UI in photos. The new design is said to be much smoother and faster as it will not carry forward the UI which was icon heavy. The design of the new UI will be able to use text over icons, which will take fewer resources and loading time.

The new UI theme has been inspired by the Snapseed editing app, which is also owned by Google. The major difference that one will be able to notice in the new design is the addition of a text button like Crop and Filters, which was visible as only icons in the previous version. It made recognizing the functions a little difficult for the users. It will simply help the users to identify the functions instead of guessing and trying out each before selecting the correct one. These changes were not announced by Google themselves, but the images for the same have been leaked online on Twitter.

There is no saying as to when the new UI design for editing in Photos will be live, but it is expected to be featured through an update in a month or soo. Apart from that, the company is also working on adding a lot of new elements in the gallery to declutter a large number of photos.

Microsoft has been working on the new UI structure for windows operating system for a long time now and there have been many leaks and rumors about the new look. However, a recently leaked image of what can be the new operating system from Windows, shows that the company will be designing a more rounded look for windows than sharp edges. Microsoft has been bringing more Windows 10 development teams under Panos Panay, the head of the successful Surface lineup.

As per experts the new design and UI changes in Windows OS could bring in a lot of good changes in the way people work on it. What we already know is that Microsoft is looking forward to redesigning the iconic Start menu and redesign the entire look with rounded corners. Microsoft has already been pushing out updates for Windows 10 Photos app, Windows Calendar, Windows Maps, Movies & TV, Sticky Notes, and even Calculator, all of which came out with rounded corners in the new UI update.

The change isn’t going to be major but these subtle changes can easily be noticed by a Windows user. Microsoft already promised on giving rounded corners for default control styles in XAML apps last year and the same will be common now across all the apps that are built in the Windows 10 operating system. The company has already been working on WinUI, which will provide a major change in the interface for desktop and surface devices from the company.

The new UI and rounded corner design are still under the testing phase and will take some time for Microsoft to totally implement it.
