We have seen a lot of new features on WhatsApp this year and the company is in no way going to stop there. The company has recently announced that WhatsApp is going to bring a lot of new value-added features to enhance the experience of the users on the app. One of the changes that the users will be noticing is with the use of wallpapers in the app. The company said that it is going to bring a new update soon with a set of fresh wallpapers and a search for stickers and new animated stickers.

As per their official statement, “Wallpapers on WhatsApp are seeing four major updates – custom chat wallpapers, additional doodle wallpapers, an updated stock wallpaper gallery, and the ability to set separate wallpapers for light and dark mode settings,” The interesting feature in the wallpapers would be that it can automatically transform to a darker shade and back to light form as the phone switches from light to dark mode.

Search for stickers is another feature that will allow the users to simply type text and find the appropriate sticker or an emoji for their chat. It can also be selected by simply browsing the common sticker category. One such sticker category that was introduced by WhatsApp before was “Together at Home” which was available in languages like Arabic, French, German, Indonesian, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, and Turkish. In addition, WhatsApp has also added a new Shopping button to the business version of WhatsApp to promote its e-commerce feature.

Microsoft has released the first Windows Feature Experience Pack for Windows 10, which has been created to deliver smaller feature improvements outside of major Windows 10 feature updates. Now, these features have not been created inside Windows 10 using its components. In fact, the new features have been created independently by the developers. The Windows experience pack basically has two major features with Windows Feature Experience Pack 120.2212.1070.0 as the code. Now the user can opt to have these features and simply install it as an update. Therefore, it is not mandatory for users to install them. The features are:

You can now use the built-in screen snipping experience in Windows (WIN + SHIFT + S) to create a snip of your screen and paste it directly into a folder of your choice in File Explorer to save the screenshot there.

Using the touch keyboard in a portrait posture on a 2-in-1 touch device now supports split keyboard mode.

As per the official statement from Microsoft, “smaller updates will eventually get folded into “the already existing servicing process for Windows 10 and delivered to customers that way through Windows Update“. These features have been built and will be provided to the users just like builds and cumulative updates. Before this, Microsoft delivered two major updates in a year, but now the company will be providing the users with smaller updates like these which can be easily downloaded and installed. It is also expected that the next updates on Windows will add support for Android apps.

Samsung is already working on getting Android 11 on all their smartphones that are currently running on Android 10. Now as per a report from Galaxy Club, a new Samsung device with model number SM-A326B has been tested with the Android 11 operating system. The smartphone that is currently being tested looks very similar to the Galaxy A 32 5G. If the details are right, then it seems that Samsung can soon be rolling out One UI 3.0, which will be completely based on the Android 11 operating system.

The One UI 3.0 beta was released early by Samsung for developers and subsequently, they have been running a beta program for various other flagship models with One UI 3.0 features. It could be a possibility that Galaxy A32 5G could be the first device to debut the One UI 3.0 based on Android 11, also considering that they are expected to launch the Galaxy A52 and A72 this month or in January 2021. It is currently not sure that One UI 3.0 stable version will come with Galaxy A32 5G or not.

However, the company is looking forward to launching the S21 series with upgraded One UI 3.1 in January, therefore, Galaxy A32 5G would be the perfect way to provide a 3.0 update right now. The phone details started leaking in the month of July and are nearing the launch with 5G support, a polycarbonate body, an Infinity V notch display, and a 48MP primary sensor at the rear. We hope for more leaks as the day of launch comes closer.

As per the statement from the executive at the summit, “We believe that the technological innovation of this flagship platform in 5G, games, camera, and other aspects will contribute to the high-end flagship to be launched by OnePlus in (the) first half of next year.“” OnePlus has always been one of the companies to use a brand new flagship processor in their smartphones so this was definitely expected from the company. Currently, there are no details as to which smartphone will be powered by the new processor, but the company is all set to launch the OnePlus 9 and 9Pro in March with the Snapdragon 875. It would be too early to say but it can be a possibility that OnePlus comes up with OnePlus 9T and 9T pro months later with the Snapdragon 888, or could it be an entirely new range.

We already know that OnePlus will be unveiling their new OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro next year. However, it seems that these two will not be the only smartphone that will be launched at the event. A new third device has come up in the details that will be launched alongside the new series. The leaks have been provided by Max Jambor who confirms that the month of March next year will also see the announcement of a third smartphone, called the OnePlus 9E.

While there are no specifics about the phone that can be discussed, it does seem like the phone will be sitting somewhere between the OnePlus 9 and OnePlus Nord lineup. The phone will be offered as an upper mid-range smartphone for the users. Details were also in the air that the company is looking to launch a new Nord SE phone in the series next year. This strategy has already been followed by companies like Samsung, Apple, and Google, where they have released a SE lineup along with the premium flagships.

The E series seems to be a similar product from OnePlus which would aim to provide a premium flagship experience in a smaller package. For the last few months, OnePlus has been trying to add a smartphone in almost every price range to attract more customers and get them the best value for money phone. It would be interesting to see if the expected device would be a part of the OnePlus 9 series or the Nord series. This we will only know after a few more leaks or official announcement from the company.

The rivalry between Samsung and Huawei has been ongoing for a long time where the majority of the time Samsung takes the lead in the market for being the dominant manufacturer. However, in Q2 of this year, Huawei took the lead from Samsung, amid the decrease in sales and manufacturing of Samsung due to pandemic. However, as things started to get better for the market in Q3 and shipments started recovering for Samsung, it regained the top spot again.

Now the company has again scored the highest position in the market leaving Huawei far behind. Companies like Samsung and Xiaomi have been making great progress and have been getting considerable growth. Samsung continues to dominate the market in first place with a 22% market share and over 80 million units sold. Xiaomi also moved up to a 12.1% share, shipping over 44 million units, up from 32 million in 2019 and totaling nearly 35% growth YoY. On the other hand, Huawei has been looking at deteriorating numbers ever since the US ban and the non-usability of the Android operating system on their future devices.

The Chinese giant shipped around 51 million units in Q3, down over 21% since 2019 and lagging far behind Samsung at this point, the rival it used to battle for first place with. Even Apple saw a drop of a little over half a percent in the Q3 of 2020, due to which they had to delay the launch of their new iPhone series. However, it seems that the losses are beginning to reduce and the smartphone industry is all ready to increase again.

Samsung Galaxy Note has been one of the most popular smartphone series from Samsung with a huge fan following. Every year Samsung releases their new Galaxy Note smartphone with major improvements and new features. However, this might not be the case in the future. As per sources, Samsung might be looking to discontinue its premium Galaxy Note phone next year. The Galaxy Note phone is popular for its large screen and stylus that can be used for various functions.

The company not only works on the new version of their other premium flagships every year but also on the Note Series. However, this year Samsung has not been working on a new Galaxy Note phone and is not releasing its plan for the series to the public as well. As per the details, the next generation of Galaxy phones will also be compatible with the stylus that currently only works on the Note series. Due to this, the stylus could also be used on the foldable series, leaving fewer consumers for the Note series in specific.

The company is looking forward to using the Galaxy Note resources on making a better foldable smartphone. The Galaxy Note 20 comes with a price tag of $999 in the US market whereas there are other smartphones like iPhone 12 which starts from $799. There are other factors as well, which has led to a decrease in the demand for new smartphones. It is one of the major reasons why Samsung has seen a huge drop in demand and is planning to discontinue the Note series.

Nintendo Switch has been one of the most popular handheld consoles in recent times. What has been a major plus point for the console is regular updates and improvements to keep the users engaged. The new update on the Nintendo Switch has added yet another feature to the device as a firmware update on the barebone OS. One of the major features that have been added is the new way to share screenshots and videos from the device directly to the smartphone.

The images and videos can be shared by simply scanning a QR code, which seems to be better than the previous option where the users could only upload them directly to the platforms like Twitter and Facebook. Another way of moving the images, screenshots, and video is through using a USB connection over to the PC. Additional features in the update include automatic cloud save data downloads across multiple consoles, a new “Trending” section of the user page that shows what your friends have been playing, a shortcut to Nintendo Switch Online services on the home screen, and the ability to prioritize downloads.

The company has also added 12 new icons based on the 35th anniversary of Super Mario Bros. The firmware update is 11.0.0 and is currently available for all the Nintendo Switch users. If you are still unable to get the update, then you will probably see it a few hours from now. After installing the new update, you will be able to access all the features.

It has been a couple of months since the announcement of the game by popular India’s leading mobile game-making firm, nCORE Games. Now the company has added the game to the Google Play Store for pre-registration. It means that the game will first be launched on the Android platform, and can be expected to fully launch in the month of December.

However, there has been no confirmation about the game’s availability on iOS devices for now. nCore games have shared the details and the link on the official Twitter account, from where you can easily pre-register. Once done, the game will automatically be installed on your phone once it is available to download on the Google Play Store. In case, you do not know about the game, it has been developed to pay a tribute to brave Indian soldiers.

The initial promos showed soldiers fighting in the Galwan valley area, Ladakh. Also, the game developers have announced that 20% of the revenue will be donated to Bharat Ke Veer trust, built for martyred soldiers. Since PUBG India is also trying to make a quick re-entry into the Indian market, it would be interesting to see how both the companies attract more users to their platform.
