Yet another Windows 10 update is causing a lot of errors and issues for the users where they are facing performance issues with the operating system. The issue is occurring due to this month’s patch cumulative update. The update is causing a lot of performance issues for users as well as Blue screen crash errors. The Windows update KB4566782 was released on August 11, which was reported earlier due to the installation issue, where the users were unable to download and install it using the Windows update. However, in some cases, users were able to install it manually.

Now multiple users are reporting issues where the installed update has produced serious lags in the performance of the system and is also causing the system to crash suddenly. Performance issues faced by the users are system slowdown, increased boot time, lower fps counts in games, external hard drives not working, and slow File Explorer. Also, many users have been facing an issue where the screen immediately freezes and then responds after a couple of seconds. The screen will freeze when you try to run any kind of application or open a folder.

There is currently no solution for this from Microsoft, but a safeguard to this problem until it is resolved is that one should remove the update from the settings and pause the automatic updates till the time the issue has been resolved. It will make sure that the buggy update is not installed on the operating system and you can use it normally until a working patch arrives from Microsoft.

The requirement of higher internet speeds have been increasing day by day as the size of workable files, graphic and media are also increasing. In the same effort, a team of researchers from University College London (UCL), led by Dr. Lidia Galdino, have together broken the world record for the fastest internet speed with two other companies. The data transmission speeds reached up to 178 terabits per second which are around 178 million megabits in a second.

According to the university, the maximum speed can download the entire library of Netflix in approximately one second. As per the team, the speed attained is almost double the capacity of any system that is currently being used in the world. The transmission was done through different colors of light or wavelengths, providing a wider scope than optical fiber. The bandwidth that the researchers used was 16.8THz, which is much more than 9THz which is used more commonly. A lot of advanced hardware and software is used for the same including amplifier technologies to boost the signal over a wider bandwidth.

The team used Geometric Shaping (GS) constellations which used different combinations of light brightness with signal patterns to find the best possible combination for data transfer. The team also emphasized on the fact that this setup could also be run using the current hardware and infrastructure. The only thing that would be required is the upgrade to the amplifiers located on the optical fiber routes at intervals of 40-100 km.

The year has been really bad for the digital security sector as a number of hacking attempts to major platforms were discovered one after the other. If you are working and relying totally on the Google ecosystem, then this might not be good news for you.

The last few months have been a boom for Google services as people have been using the online tools to work from home and share their work experience. Google even decided to provide Google Meet for free during the pandemic, which was a paid service in GSuite. With the increase in the number of users and active engagement for Google services, it came as a perfect opportunity for hackers to steal the data and create havoc among all. Security researchers have found that a bug in Google Drive can be used to swap out the legitimate files with malicious ones.

The bug is majorly a threat for people who are currently working from home in the time of the pandemic. The bug was discovered by A. Nikoci, who claims that the bug is caused by Google Drive’s failure to check different versions of files stored on the cloud. It allows the hackers to swap normal files in favor of malicious ones and it cannot be detected as Google drive will read it as an updated version. Google drive also does not detect whether the file replaced is the same type or not, making it easier for hackers to replace any type of file.

The issue has been notified to Google, but as of now, the bug remains unresolved. Until then the users need to be aware of any unexpected changes to their Google drive. Do not run or open a file from the Drive if you do not recognize it.

Poco has been one of the most popular smartphone brands in the world for bringing high-quality specs at an affordable price point. While everyone is waiting for the next Poco smartphone, FCC testing has spotted a new Poco phone which can be a possible successor to the popular Poco X2. The reported Poco X3 models were found to be having a 64-megapixel camera module at the rear and fast charging setup. The phone is believed to be having a 33W fast charging capability with a massive 5,160 mAh battery.

The back also has the vertical Poco branding and the circular camera module has a “64MP AI super camera” written on it. It is expected that the new generation of Poco X series will not have any major hardware improvements over the Poco X2, but will carry forward the same Sony IMX686 sensor for the camera. The major upgrade will be noticed in the battery, where the 4,500 mAh battery in the Poco X2 model will be upgraded to 5,160 mAh in the new Poco X3. However, the major let down was that the phone still does not support 5G, which is expected from all the upcoming phones.

Apart from these details, the phone is also expected to have a 120Hz OLED display, which can be considered as a good improvement over the LCD panel used in Poco X2. The phone will run on the Snapdragon 765 and will come with 6GB or 8GB RAM configuration. Currently, there is no official word on the phone from the company and it is expected to release later this year.

A few months back Apple confirmed that they will start the production of their Apple devices in India. Finally, the company has started the production of the iPhone SE model in India. However, as per the leaked details, the production might have started from June itself. But it has been confirmed that the production has only started in the month of August. The iPhone SE was launched in the month of March earlier this year and since then has been available in the Indian market at a price tag of Rs 38, 900.

However, a few days back the price of the handset was discounted on an online e-commerce store Flipkart to Rs 35,999. Now since the local production of the iPhone SE model has started in India, it is expected that the price of the smartphone will decrease even further. The smartphones that have been made right now, will be available in the Indian stores in a couple of months. The company is also looking forward to producing iPhone 12 in the market after it has been launched.

Producing multiple iPhones and Apple devices will save the company 20% import duty that they have to pay over their phones, leading to an increase in price. Since the company will be assembling the phone in India from now on, they will be saving on a lot of costs, leading to much cheaper devices in the Indian market. The company is also looking at the prospects of manufacturing other Apple devices in India for the future.

The phone runs on Android 10, with a possible upgrade to Android 11 once it is launched. When it comes to price, the base model with 4GB+64GB specs will be priced at Rs 13,999, and the second variant with 6GB+64GB will be priced at Rs 15,999. iPhone 12 is going to be cheaper than what we think

With the delay in the launch of the iPhone 12 due to pandemic, the company is expected to unveil the phone in the second week of October. However, with the current market scenario and problem in the availability of parts and components, we might see a cheaper iPhone 12 than what was expected. As per Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the company is looking to use less complex and cheaper components for the iPhone 12 series which will remarkably reduce the cost of the phone.

The overall cost of the phone was very high due to the integration of 5G hardware. Due to this Apple is putting “higher bargaining pressure” on suppliers for cheaper parts. As per the company, the most expensive part of the iPhone, where the cost-cutting could be done is the battery board. Therefore, the new battery board is expected to be 40-50% cheaper when compared to the one used in the iPhone 11. The cost-cutting was necessary because of sub-6GHz 5G technology, which increased manufacturing cost by almost $80. Another expensive cost to iPhone 12 is the millimeter wave chips, adding another $135 to the manufacturing cost.

As per the details, Apple will be using soft board design to reduce the cost of the component which will allow us to compensate for the cost. In a similar move, the company might also redesign the battery PCB for AirPods, which will make the product even cheaper than last generation. The changes will be visible in the battery PCB with a system-in-package design, further reducing its cost.
